Mystery and Dee, I've never heard of ABVI. It sounds like a great assoc.!
I'm thankful that I:
- printed up copies of current meds/supplements list for appt.'s
- that I found a neat baby afghan I'll do in pink, for future grdd.
- read my Devotion, Novena, Prayed and journaled.
- that I wrote DH a grocery list this a.m., put dark chocolate on the list (purely for therapeutic purposes) and I helped him put everything away.
- I got 1 big card with 2 postcards in it, from BFF from CO. They're on vacation until the 7th. Live in OR. Missing her so much.
- I got a note from a pen pal newsletter gal, who told me how she, too, has fibromyalgia. Small world.
- It's so sunny, so I opened up the blinds to make it more uplifting indoors. Bright.
- DD emailed me back, I'm glad because she was "mothering" me this a.m., preached, and caused angst. NOW I can laugh about it!
- I decided since I got the 2 scrap bins together, mainly from Grandma, my supplies/books all in 1 place, I can give it a try. At least it's organized now.
- DH brought me a "Woman's World" magazine and "Writer's Digest" came, with the best articles, perfect for me right now.
It's nice to have a Thankful Thursday! We have a baby on the way in our family, a girl, after 7 boys for 16 years. It's sunny, I love my FM radio station, and DF's here, too. The Village is like coming home to sip a cup of coffee or tea and chat awhile. I love that. ♥ Happy Afternoon, Everybody!

Well, actually the Hebrew I'm learning is technically "dead" since it is biblical/ancient Hebrew and not spoken anymore. My original tutor, who got his PhD in this area, told me that he can't communicate when he's in Israel. Twins might be able to elucidate the differences btwn. ancient and modern Hebrew. And all 3 of my kids have chosen to study Latin as their foreign language, another "dead" language. . . The linguistic saving grace here: dh speaks Dutch, his first language, to the kids, so we all have exposure to a modern spoken language, though dh is very quick to point out that it is not that useful as only a very small percentage of people in the world speak it (Flemish in Belgium, Afrikaans in S. Africa, probably other forms in other places. . . ), and most Dutch people, at least, are also very competent English speakers. . .
Dh has informed me via email that his ceramics teacher and his gf are coming over for dinner too, SO I'd better get dinner going. Baked potatoes in first; they'll barely have enough time.
ABVI has done a lot here for dgs throught the years, Ivy. Things like getting him special computers at home & in school, classes at their center in the city -can't even begin to remember all they've done. One was to get him a job a few years ago at the G oodwill store in a nearby town. G oodwill is connected to ABVI.
DH is out mowing the lawn. This time he took puffs from his inhaler BEFORE he started. Hoping that makes a big difference for him. The S piriva alone, has helped immensely and he sometimes comes gets the 'rescue' inhaler during mowing.
The 'mystery' dish is in the microwave. We've decided it's pulled pork, but wondering when we had it. I do have a few rolls in the freezer that we can use. Also have frozen (fresh) corn that dneighbor brought us before they headed south last week. If I can use up everything we have, then I'll start buying for just short term. Know I have makings for chili so will do that as soon as it's cool again.
Lunch is done.
More laundry has been folded and put away last load is in the dryer now.
Dgd is napping what is is about granny duty dgd crawls up in my lap with a blanket and we are rocking the next thing I know we are both asleep! LOL!
checked the movies nothing I think we will enjoy is on this weekend at the cheap movie place.
I sent off an e-mail to my dsis to check in with her.
I have a plan for dinner.
It only go up to 60* here today.
Helia - I took Latin in high school and since I ended up going in to Medicine it has been invaluable!
Now watching Star Trek VI - Undiscovered Country which was partially filmed outside my hometown on the Knik Glacier (woohoo I figured out how to "hide" the URL).

I'm soooo very thankful this is DONE!
What a difference in personalities. When i take DGS15 shopping we are in the mall about 10 minutes. He already has items selected and it is just a matter of grab them and pay. DGS!7 is sooo different! He did know the end result he wanted, but didn't have a clue where to find the items. All's well that ends well. DGS17 is thrilled that we were finally able to find every item of clothing that he wanted to complete his outfit.
Scattered, I took Latin in High School also. All I can remember from that is Amo, Amos Amat I think.
Sadie, I used to get that electric stuff on my back and neck at chiropractor. They had to stop because even at the smallest level I would shake and quiver afterward. I hope it helps your DH.

Sunny, is a plane landing on a plowed/cleared runway safer than driving in bad weather up and down mountains? When we went to NC that one year on a plane I was astounded when they opened the tunnel to the stairs and snow blew in!
Harriet, our duck show starts Wednesday 9:00! I'm glad they signed up for another season.
I got 3/4 of the kitchen done, 3/4 of the laundry folded, 3/4 of the desk done. The phone rang off the hook all afternoon. My headache is a bit better.
Got home, ate pizza, watched Big Bang. Scanned & e-mailed math page to dd's classmate & fellow carpool rider. dd is doing her math homework now; I had her study for her science in the car during this evening's runs.
I'm bushed, but I should grab my cards & do something. Will let you know if I actually do.
