Hello to EVERYONE!!!

I went to bed with a sore throat & woke up with a sore throat & it just got worse all day... achy, yucky feeling... and then ds wanted us to keep dgs for a few hours while he & ddil went out to eat and did some shopping. Since they usually only get a couple nights together each week, of course we hate to turn them down. And of course, we love having dgs around, anyway. (DS & ddil are together maybe 4 DAYS a week, but after she has worked 2 of those nights, his function during the daytime is mostly to care for dgs so she can sleep.)
Well... then we had a fairly long faculty meeting...
and it was sooo cold outside...
and we went took dgs to visit dmil...
and I had to go to the bank...
and we ate supper...
and ds came to get dgs. Then ds stayed several hours, looking at old photo albums, etc.
I washed three loads of clothes in the meantime, and have the first two hanging to dry now.
I'm also feeling a tiny bit better, after Tylenol this afternoon and Aleve tonight.

BUT -- there is GREAT news! GREAT NEWS!

* 1st * Ddil, ds, and apparently dgs, LOVE the new doctor. She told them they were doing fine, dgs looked great, and they could start adding variety to the cereal as soon as they felt dgs was comfortable with it. She said first to branch out to oatmeal, I think, and then go on to vegetables, etc. Just to wait a couple weeks before trying something new. DS said she also seemed to give him a much more thorough check-up than the first doctor.
They signed a release form for their records, and canceled the next appt w/the old doctor. DS said, "Ddil took great pleasure in doing that."

* 2nd * They have scheduled the christening for the 18th and have bought dgs an outfit for the occasion.

So. I feel miserable, physically, and yesterday was pretty miserable all around, and the faculty meeting just REALLY made me miserable today... but at least in our little corner of the world, the birds are singing again.

lucylee, that is wonderful news that the baby now has a great dr. and that he will be christened.

(Kathryn) hope labs were ok and you feel better from cold/flu quickly.

I am here because my schedule is way mixed up. I was up early, out with DH, but today was very very stressful. Multi phone calls to overhear (DH's voice is loud) about church project that has me a nervous wreck; a project that is annoying; lots of payments to us due. I do not do well with a lot of stress any more. It zaps whatever strength I have.

So I went to bed about 4 and told DH what was in the refrig. for dinner. He went to Youth group tonight instead. I would have slept through till morning I think except he called, stranded in parking lot of store where he'd locked his keys in the truck. So off I went to rescue him, and stopped to get chicken sandwiches at fast food place next door since neither of us had eaten. By then it was 10. After we ate I sewed for a couple hours and I'm tired again, so it's back to bed.

Hopefully tomorrow will be calmer.

Oh, Sunny, I thought you quit babysitting because they kept bringing over baby (I thought it was a boy) sick. Did you babysit more than one child?
