Mr. McGregor is the famously grouchy, vegetable-loving gardener and the primary antagonist in Beatrix Potter’s classic, The Tale of Peter Rabbit. He relentlessly chases the mischievous Peter out of his garden, .

Peter's mother warns her children to avoid Mr. McGregor's garden, as their father had an unfortunate "accident" there and was baked into a pie by Mrs. McGregor. Peter, however, sneaks in to feast on vegetables. Mr. McGregor catches him in the act and chases him with a rake, yelling "Stop thief!". Peter barely escapes with his life, losing his blue jacket and shoes in a gooseberry net. An angry Mr. McGregor dresses a scarecrow in these clothes. Peter returns home exhausted, where his mother puts him to bed and gives him chamomile tea.

Good morning, everyone, and happy Monday!

Dogged, that is hilarious about Chat GPT. WTG getting the air conditioner set up.

DH is off work this week,.so in one way it's a sortmof.orecirsor.to his retirement, but not in an other as,.for him it's "holiday" rather than."real life". I'm going to try and use it as a practice run for me though (unofficially!).

Update: DH has just announced he has done something.to his back. I asked him to indicate where,.and it's his lower back. So, I've suggested a warm shower, pain relief and a gentle.walk., as he needs to keep moving ..I've also suggested some physio exercises I've been given,.as I find these very helpful when my back plays up, but this was met with a "No". In my experience backs tend to settle relatively quickly with, without or in spite of treatment, but if it's still bad in a couple of days I'll suggest am appointment with my osteopath.

I shouldn't really.laugjh, but he complained he couldn't pick things up from the.floor. I bit my tongue really hard not to say,."situation normal there, then", and made a sympathetic noise instead.

LOL, Kittykatt, it's probably for the best that you have the self control that I lack. My first instinct is "Oh, that would be so funny " And then I would probably have to apologize. Maybe you could suggest housekeeping tasks as remedies for back problems? As in, "I find that dusting the top of that shelf helps with lower back pain. Would you like to try it?

Dogged, that's genius! I sent him out for a walk this morning, and that seems to have helped a bit. His latest idea is that he needs a new sitting room chair, as his existing chair is low, doesn't support his back and.encourges him to be curled up like a prawn. (YES! I've been saying this for years. And that is also exactly why I bought my chair a few years ago, with the higher seat, good back support, which encourages good posture etc.) I'm now waiting to see if anything comes of this...

Plumber has been and gone ("a nice, quick little job, as you didn't leave it!"), I've filled in the customer satisfaction survey that Homecare sent me, done a little in my garden, and sat out on the patio enjoying the sunshine and the background of buzzing bees while I attempted to get some sense from Petplan. According to the lady I spoke to, they are waiting for a decision on one claim (Freddie's urinary issues and bladder crystals) from one team, before the other team can work on the claim for "lameness" ( his Solensia injection for his arthritic hips, which he's had every 4 weeks for the last 3 years )!!!. I fail to see how the two conditions are linked or dependant on each other!!! Apparently I should receive a progess report "soon".

They have until the end of the week, as if nothing has been resolved by next weekend, I will escalate it and send an email. Fortunately I've made an synopsis of today's phonecall, and my previous attempts to solve this online, so it's going to be a very interesting email!

It's getting hot in the sun, so I'm going to start the housework now, and hopefully go for my walk this evening.

Good morning:) and thanks for the sweet start Kittykatt (I love Peter Rabbit illustrations)
Apparently, your DH and mine have something in common: neither can pick things up off the floor...:(
I, however, don't have your self control

Dogged you won't need AC today... if your weather is like ours. Just came in: I need to warm up
Nice and sunny though.

I never got back here yesterday. It was a day of driving back and forth, then I went to Toronto for the recital. Exhausting drive in the rain... but DLittles were beautiful and I was proud of them.
Went to bed early and did have some interrupted sleep so I should be ready to go this morning . Tomorrow is busy with appointments, so today is THE day.

There is an XL laundry pile waiting. (DH kept reminding me yesterday that he'll run out of underwear soon)
There are 3(!) baskets w folded clothes waiting to be put away
Second bedroom needs a clean up
Outdoor plants - deadhead
Weeds
Med box fill
Food: stirfry (?)
and, of course, pup walk

I will start the day with that (after I change)
