Thorough Thursday

Post by Costumelady »

I have piddled away much of the week so it is time to be more thorough in my actions today and finish necessary projects. What do you need to finish today?

Thank you for today's start Costumelady.

I have taken the recycling and compost to the end of the driveway. The sun was in a noticeably different location this week. It's just north of the barn across the street from us. It's now a storage barn other than it's original purpose as a barn for cows many decades ago.

Dh wants to go grocery shopping at some point today. I have "other" shopping today. I also need to go to both banks and pick up dh's prescriptions that I ordered on Tuesday.

Ok the pill boxes must be filled this morning after breakfast. I had 2 spare days but used those so now it is necessary. It takes me an hour to fill 5 weeks worth of pills.

I have gathered mail but not sorted and dealt with so again this must happen today.

Dh is working and I have been indulgent. I did go to the Y the last 2 days but yesterday I discovered that Criminal.Minds the next evolution had a new season I hadn't seen so I binge watched 6 episodes which means I got nothing done. I odered takeout pizza for dinner. I am home, I should cook but food just sounds gross.

I also discovered I am more than half week late taking my Repatha shot. It is my 4th shot I take every 2 weeks for cholesterol. I am very excited at the results. In less than 8 weeks all of my numbers are excellent and no memory issues. I also like the progesterone she added.

I will take my shot and set up reminders in my calendar for every 2 weeks. I also need to call my dr who does my pellets and postpone insertion for 4 to 6 weeks, my functional doctor wants me to try something. I dont like skipping that much. She wants to lower my estrogen so we are trying an insertble dose but I am not sure I like it.

My bathroom counter is super cluttered.

OS is coming home on Saturday for a visit so must declutter his bed, the guest room doubles as my sewing room. Mostly gathering projects onto sewing table and put away ironing board. Sheets are clean.

House is getting cleaned on Monday when MS comes home from his trip.

I have to organize and send emails for DOK and other church things I am organizing.

I start the day with breakfast with the church ladies in an hour.

Twins, glad toilet is fixed and hoping leak didnt cause water damage. We have had running toilets that jack up water bill.

Lady M, you may need to put alarm on outer doors at night. We used to have tall locks for my 4 foot 8 grandma to keep her from wandering. Glad you found remote.

I have SABLE, with so many different craft supplies. I am designing a stainglass pool table lamp that I am going to tackle this fall. I have everything to do stainglass, made our 2nd house's bar windows (we are on house 4) so I have moved this stuff twice. . I also have transome windows I would love to design glass panels for. I have a bag for my cross stitch project, the one picture I completed and won grand champion at the fair is framed and hangs on my wall. I get bored and find new hobbies. I have a whole set to make those custom scrapbook pages, I think I made 10 pages. Newest crafting is water color painting. I so far have painted one picture.

I have sewing projects to finish too. Motivation is hard. I will make my bed, that is my version of clean sink. My husband and MS make sure dishes are always done daily.

I need to be busy today. I've been just pushing forward the to do list in ToDoist.

HOA:
-need to prod the incoming prez (who has been the VP) to get moving with other board responsibilities such as replacing two board members
-need to pay pool company and write a check for the "pool boy" the teen who cleans up three times a week and takes out trash. (I have to print the time sheets he sends, and try to decipher his handwriting to see what weeks are included. Sometimes he skips a week, or sends one twice.)

Cemetery
-give tree company the go ahead on the trees
-call the maintenance people to let them know about trees, also they were to give us quote for fertilizing the trees that are left
-need to pick up bills at temple office and update spreadsheet for cemetery $$ for last three months
-contact insurance re: cemetery damage

But first, need to walk the ddog.

Hi again!

I swept the back hall and I have mopped one side of it. It's so humid here that it usually takes a while to dry. (Unlike in the winter when it dries instantly thanks to the heated floors)

Bathroom and kitchen garbage have both been taken out as well.

Dh has had his morning meds along with orange juice today. He didn't want coffee today.

While I have the bucket full of hot water and cleaner, I want to do a few other spots around the house. When the hall dries I will do the left side.

Trying not to exhaust myself like I did yesterday. Today there are boiled eggs and a small egg salad in the fridge along with most of the watermelon and there is banana bread on the counter.

As usual, other than the kitchen I'm happy with how the rest of the house looks.

Got up earlyish this a.m. because I just had a feeling there was lots to do.

At back door, a package for HRH had been delivered and at front door a package for me. Mine was the liquid concentrate of bat guano and earthworm castings. So, as soon as Tobias and I had been started on morning routines, I went outdoors for the feeding chore to bubble that caldron ( lol, no not unpleasant at all to mix), since it works out to be a good day for it. About half the plants are now tonic-ed. I know which ones are on a different schedule, so that I can be THOROUGH.

There is a good bit of housework on my mind OMM since we were away so much yesterday.

Next up,
unload the dishwasher
spif that kitchen - my, my
make a skillet brunch
master bath "needs a little Pine Sol in there"

Good morning to Twins' and Millie on their walk, with hopes that Twins' day goes as orderly as her post.
Good morning to Costumelady, enjoying breakfast out with friends.
Good morning to Cathy and dh as they head out on PODA.

As for me and my studio, the UFOs unfinished fabric objects may not reach SABLE level, but after completing those in the distant future, I'll still have plenty of fabric waiting on a plan, so... ..yeah.

Thank you Costumelady for getting us started today! Ddog and I got two laps in, about 2/3 a mile. I'll workout later too.

Need to get my breakfast/brunch in. I confirmed the estimate on the tree work, another $7K.

Good morning

I woke up giving praise and thanks for a normal day. When things go wrong, it gives a fresh perspective on how wonderful normal can be.

We have 3 more days of triple digits temps (100+) then it drops into the 90's for a few days. It is our typical July/August weather pattern. Hot Hot Hot

I'm enjoying the rhythm of hourly efforts. Walking, gardening, mowing, weed eating, SHE cards, rest, repeat.
