I think we all need a day off from looking after the whole house/home!

I want to just relax today and do the bare minimum.

There isn't a cloud in the sky today. It's already hot outside. The new weed whacker guy is coming today. He even called yesterday to see if we would be home around 11:30. Dh wants me to wake him up at 10:30 so he can go out and start cutting the grass before the guy shows up.

I want to sit inside and stitch all day. I know that's not all I will end up doing, but I can dream.

Cathy - Thank you for the start today. I say YES to keeping it simple as possible.

I am feeling extremely grateful for a normal Sunday. Welll......as normal as it gets when raising teenagers. I've already had a discussion with DS17 about last night. Somehow, he managed to shatter the back window in the new pickup. There were 4 teenagers inside the pickup when it happened, and none are injured. I'm just focusing on that blessing for now. DS17 has already found a replacement window on FB marketplace and is in process of obtaining it.

We had rain this morning which is very welcomed.

Next up -
** Make bed
** Prepare 6 quarts of tea for today
** Check yearly tasks due in July

mom had furosemide yesterday and it has knocked her out today - dd older will call the dr. to see if we can cut the meds in half as she gets knocked out for the whole day and the next - I have to get her up bc she needs to be changed and she needs to take her meds.

we are celebrating dd older's birthday today - I decorated and got her flowers - she hasnt' thought about her birthday bc of the last few weeks - I need to take her to do something. we have a cake from ambrosia's and dd younger bought Crémant wine for her cake.

on this week:

pick the stone we need

contact fitness center for mom to have a elder trainer for muscle strength, flexibility and gentle massage. I have decided to go as well - I will have to pay for the helper to go as well. I will charge my brother for mom's fitness - I will pay for the helper and myself.

get back on track outside.

make date with d sis in laws for coffee.

contact window screen company.

have someone take out the posts from the old fence.

in two weeks we get the grading and drain system down on the one side of the house. then we can. get the electric fence fixed for the dogs. our neighbors don't want us to get a fence bc it would eliminate the continual open land between our houses - it is pretty. I honestly want an aluminum or wrought iron fence so I don't have to worry but my neighbors feelings mean a lot to me.

howdy again -

mom had furosemide yesterday and it knocked her out for today-

I took a very unhappy mom out of bed (eyes closed) to clean her and change her - she got her meds, changed, washed thoroughly and is now clean as a pin, water given, boost and a bit of banana and oatmeal. boost is 500 calories which is good for days like this. I kept her up and dd younger just helped me get her back in bed. 110 lbs can be dead weight!

I know what noodling is. Lived in TN and AL for many years. There was a huge dam near my house where the huge catfish could be found. Heard of 60-90lbs found there.

Yesterday I decided to rearrange my lania for better usage. The day was cloudy with low humidity so the helped. Worked 3 hours and I like the results. Had to move furniture, rugs and tables. Vacuumed two rugs as well. Really need to spray off all the furniture and rugs, but I’ll save that for a cooler day.

Jumped into the pool afterwards and Amelia really wanted to join me but didn’t know how. I know can swim because she followed Coco in the other day while Sweetie and I were in the pool.

Brought Amelia in the pool with me and off she went. She’s too small to find a step to get out, but at least I know she can stay a float until I can get to her if she falls in.

We had to teach Sadie to swim, same with Willis, but once he learned it was hard to keep him out of the water. That how I exercised him in the summer.

I bought a life preserver for Amelia so I can exercise her in the afternoons. Way too hot at the moment to walker. She got her first hair cut on Friday. She was a ball of fur but she started getting matted and hated when I brushed her.

She really looks tiny now, but I know she’s gotta be much cooler now.

Watching Wimbledon at the moment. Always easy Sundays around here

I was up in the nite I watered the back yard beds and grass.
When I got up again we walked.
Have been doing small things picked up after ddoggo.
Watered the front yard grass.

Apples were delivered to the field 2x.
QT & Journal planning happened.
Got the dog towels folded and put away.
Small steps make a difference.

Had some angst b/c I forgot to turn on my phone and most of my steps on my walk were not counted dang!
I did see the doe & her 2 fawns and one large wild turkey on that walk however.

Got the 2nd stack of books to the basement from yesterday's clear out on the zone I'd been working on yea!
Dusted some in that zone and more stuff had room to be put away yea!

It is 83* here for the hi temp not to bad and 77* now. 69* was the low.
Dusted some in butterfly room.
I have put water out for the deer in the shade under the tree a 2-3 gal. bucket.
Got the charger on the Jeep now.

Late bfast so not hungry for lunch yet.

Weed whacking guys only got the front of the house done because they had battery powered, small weed whackers. They had to keep recharging the batteries. Dh showed them how to use his big, heavy duty gas powered whacker. Boy! You should have seen how much they enjoying using it and taking turns. They asked dh if he wanted to sell it. They have to go home and ask their parents if they can buy it. (Dh is letting it go for $100 and including a new packing of string stuff)

I have cut the front yard and dh did the back. Dh really wanted his usual whole wheat bread, so he asked if I could go buy him some as his vision problem was bugging him and he was hungry.

Baseball game starts around 4, so I am going to lay down for a bit.
