Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
We all have a tendency to procrastinate - I think that's one of the commonalities that draws us together as a village. Use today to do at least one of those tasks - get it done, cross it off, put it in the rear view mirror. Even better, do two! After all, it's an Anti procrastion Wednesday!

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
Thank you for the start to our Wednesday Twins' Mom!
Thankfully I made an appointment yesterday and the company is coming tomorrow to deal with our septic tank. After I talked to them the rain got worse. and then local pages on my FBook started to "blow up" with everyone posting pictures of their pool or their street or something weather related. Some people are so certain that they are the only person that got rained on... my goodness. Someone who is a third generation farmer was complaining about the street his farm is on. You would think his dad or his grandparents or an uncle would have told him that if you buy land in a valley that has a river very close by that drains into Lake Ontario, you WILL get flooded out when there is a storm. (We know the family)
I told dh last night that today I would be focusing on the kitchen. The island has a bunch of cardboard boxes that need to be burned. Now that the burn ban has been lifted, I can deal with those. My goodness we have so much cardboard.
What is everyone having for supper? I have totally run out of ideas.

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
Good morning! See, Mystery, you did get back with TaDas.
Yes, a very Happy Anti Procrastination Wednesday to all.
Hello, my name is Harriet and I am a procrastinator.
I've noticed a little oddity that helps me, which is using a weekly habit tracker of some kind for basic chores like "clean", "declutter" and making checkmarks (or bubble-ins) to remind myself I did them on which day. I thought it only helped note what I did with a visual reward, but lately I've noticed that I get good information about what I procrastinate. A string of blank spaces is a reminder of an area of life that's slipping a bit. I used to print these out and glue-stick but found a rubber M-S stamp with 6 lines of spaces to check off, so, faster with no bulk.
Twins' has well-curated stamps and pads in her creative space. I have one stamp, but I do like it lots.
Oh, Cathy wants cooking advice. Is there anyone who can help her? lol.
I'm not much help, but last night we had "chicken" sautéed in a General Tso's sauce into which we cut up square chunks of red and green bell peppers, onions. We happened to have a frozen meatless chicken I grabbed at the grocery yesterday, but it would be nice either way. Didn't heat up the kitchen much on a hot night, was fast

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
Good morning
It has been a busy morning so far today. Lifelong friend Steve called and invited DH to guys breakfast in the city. It thrills me to see DH do normal things with friends.
DD50, DD15 and Astra (new puppy) came to pick up the new-to-DD15 phone and some paperwork. They stayed and chatted for about 30 minutes. Astra is in full blown puppy mode. Cute as can be and always finding something to get into.
Breakfast for me is 2 fried eggs surrounded by sliced tomatoes.
I'm stuck in my favorite soup mode and stir fry mode so I expect that is what I will choose again today. Both of those dishes have the same ingredients (meat & vegetables) but just prepared in a different way.

Whatever sounds good. We have multiple ingredients ready to eat so it is pick & choose to fill your plate. Meat choices are - Ribs, brisket, pork belly, ham slices, chicken breast, hot links. Side dishes are pasta salad, mac & cheese, and multitude of fresh vegetables. What is everyone having for supper?

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
Good morning!
Procrastinator here, too, or I'd have more things to report to the therapist when I talk to her in a bit over half an hour. Did get some of those papers moved last night -- two reams, which were the heaviest part but simplest (not easiest) to move. Now I have assorted stuff -- photo paper, sheet protectors, etc. to transfer. I can't remember if the drawer I'm moving them into takes Pendaflex folders -- I hope so.
Moving pretty well this morning. Got the breakfast dishes washed and checked the wash I had to restart last night -- lo and behold, it was spun out and everything! So I got it into the dryer.
I have taken a liking to black milk tea with boba. Normally, when I drink tea, I take it plain, but this morning, I made English breakfast tea, let it steep till it was strong, then added milk and two packets of stevia. Not quite the same, but yummy.
If I go get milk, DD will make her baked potato soup for supper. I think we have some freezer rolls to go with it.
LadyM, you must have an industrial-sized fridge!
Is it dry where you are, Nancy? We had rain yesterday morning and overnight, so I didn't have to water my plants this morning, but we've been pretty dry until a couple of days ago.
Well, I'm going to go set up things for my appointment and see if I can get the rest of the printer stuff moved before it starts. Have a great day, everybody!

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
My task for today is to drop off donation items at a neighbor's house. Dh, thinking I hadn't done anything, loaded it all in his car to take to a local charitable org. Meanwhile, I had emailed the neighbor who volunteers at a thrift store about dropping it at her house. So he was put out that I hadn't told him I had made arrangements to drop off, and today is leaving it to me to take his car to drop it off.
I'm losing my quiet Wednesday p.m., and I really need it this week. He says he's going to bowling for awhile but the season is basically over. I think he'll start bowling Tuesday and Thursday nights again in August? I never seem to know anything. (insert hands up, no idea, emoji here.)
Meeting a lady from monument company at cemetery at 11 so I'll be heading out soon. Dog is walked, emailed neighbor about this afternoon, dropped off extra yeast packets (yesterday), more emails, texts re construction project.
Oy. I didn't post this earlier. Will hit submit and then CUOP a little.

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
Dh said he wanted hamburger Helper for supper. We always get "cheeseburger" flavor, so I asked if fried ground beef and a blue box of mac and cheese would be a suitable substitution. He said yes. Sooooooo that's supper.
I went and picked up a large basket of peaches just down the road and then I went to a fruit stand at the south end of our street for "watermelon plums". They don't taste much like watermelons, but they sure look like them. A greenish-red skin and deep red inside. Dh wasn't too impressed. He was too busy eating 3 peaches. I had one of each.

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
DH is back from his successful outing with friends. He enjoyed it very much.
I'm thinking through the process of DD15 moving back here in the next couple of days. For DH comfort we keep the central a/c thermostat at 78-80ish degrees inside the house. That is uncomfortable temperature for most people. DS17 has separate a/c unit in his bedroom. I need to get a window a/c unit for DD15 bedroom so she and Astra can stay comfortable. I think it will be a fairly easy process taking less than an hour to accomplish. If not....then we will have to go to Plan B....whatever that is.
TA-DA -
** Daily LOl done to put away status
** Dishes are done and sink is empty.
** Spent time in the garden before it got too hot.
local Meme -
People are in drama mode and claiming it must be 120 degrees outside
They are wrong - it is only 114 degrees.
>>>>inserting further information......
The meme was right. Our state hit 125F yesterday.
I am receiving the following message about half the time I try to access the SHE board. When I hit refresh repeatedly eventually I can gain access.
