I pushed my reset button this morning after being lazy all weekend. Lots of naps and baseball.

I have taken out a bag of kitchen compost. I have also emptied the dish rack and the dishwasher. There are pots soaking on the stove and a sink full of dishes soaking in the sink.

I have had something to eat and a bottle of water.

Good morning

I've been up and going for a couple of hours. I'm ready to take a break and enjoy the rest of my coffee. It's a good thing that I like coffee at every temp (hot, lukewarm or with ice) because I rarely get to drink a cup of coffee all at once. It usually takes me a couple hours in the morning to finish a cup.

DD15 delivered to school with chatter happening. When I pulled into the parking lot at school she continued to sit in the vehicle to talk. That gave me a clue that she was enjoying our talk as much as I was.

DS18 launched to work after a quick chat. He has ants in his bathroom because fiancée16 left a container of syrup sitting on the vanity sink. I love that THIS is his biggest problem this morning. I'll put an couple ant traps there and the ants should go away. Hum....that reminds me that I need to order more ant traps .

DH is sitting outside singing along with Marty Robbins while watching "his" birds, squirrels, cattle and horses. None of those belong to him but he talks to them and they provide him with endless entertainment.

Dishes and laundry are caught up. The daily LOL is in the dryer now.

Today is the day we have been waiting for. Our family doctor scheduled someone from the big city to travel to our home and do EEG test starting today until Friday. I suspect that DH is having seizures that is causing his mental decline so this 5 day test should detect them. We go to neurologist in big city next week to discuss results.

Thanks, Twins', we are on this.

I've been out to check damage on my plants, which does continue. Part, the other day, could only be deer. Part that's continuing could be the same or something else. A plant marker that clearly shows it must have come from about ten feet away was obvious. What or who thinks it's interesting to carry a plant marker around? I showed HRH a sad newly-broken or cut stem and thought about rooting it but decided against it.

Oh, well. Things happen. Did some watering.

Saw ten deer on our walk a doe with babies with spots;
and two adult in a year and three outside next to the road.
They ran up the road with a garden some headed to the orchard.
That was fun to see.

I't's a good day AQI is better or was better when I got up the 2nd time.
Woke up in the nite and clocks were needed reset. It was 1:31 ish so I went back to bed.
Reset those when I got up again at 4:30 ish.

I have spent some time looking for a planner I wanted to use.
It was in plain sight in the other room LOL!
I did more white out on some pages that needed that done.
That felt like an accomplishment like 3 or 4 moths worth of pages.
Glad that was all.

I have the water on in the front yard it's nearly time to turn it off & fill
the water containers.

Oh, and neglected to report I exercised first thing this morning. Need all the credit I can get for that, lol. T-tapp floor.

And saved a lizard's life. Little critters think they are great athletes, I guess, and get trapped in the bowl I use to capture water from the spigot when I turn on the irrigation. It must be just high sided enough to keep toads and lizards from being able to climb out.

I've started another crop of sprouts.

Today was what has become my favorite brunch, I think because it takes less time. Cereal with fresh mango and flaxseed, green tea. My other choices in rotation take time at the stove or considerable prep that this one does not, although I guess it does take time to prepare the fruit, which may be strawberries when I can't find my yellow favorite.

Good morning! We had storms this morning so 1) I slept in (dark skies, you know) and 2) I skipped my shower — just threw on a nightgown that was really designed as a house dress (thicker material and pockets) and went down to have breakfast. Breakfast is done (I had some mango, too, Harriet!); DD and I watched last night’s John Oliver, and I decided to CUOP. Not that I remember much from the CUOPing except that WonderBoy has shed his locks and is off to college, and blessed surprised me by shopping at a grocery that is mostly in my area — I forgot that they opened a couple of stores out of town.

We went to college friends’ for games Saturday evening. Played Ticket to Ride and Codenames. Heard some good stories. The wife is a research scientist (biomedical engineering), and with the loss of government funding, she is spending much of her time searching for grants to keep the lab afloat and her workers gainfully employed. Meanwhile, the younger daughter of another friend graduated from her theater program and was hired to do choreography for a summer stock company; through a series of wild events, she ended up becoming director at the ripe old age of 22 (because she had had a birthday a few days before).

We did not do much yesterday besides watch our Guards lose. I hope the Jays did better, Cathy.

I really do need to become productive. It is no longer even raining, and the alarms for my morning routine that I had postponed are starting to stack up. So I will take the breakfast dishes to the kitchen and then s2s and do the upstairs tidying. I don’t have to water the plants out on the porch. Then I will probably tackle the breakfast dishes before making more for lunch. I have to figure out a light lunch — DH is out with the guys tonight, so we will probably have takeout for dinner.

Before I left for "knitting" this morning I put all the dirty dishes into the dishwasher and turned it on. Then I washed all of the pots and pans in the stove. Stovetop is clean and clear so I can make supper. Meat is defrosting in the sink.

DS18 has called me 3 times this morning to share his happy news.
** He received his first paycheck and was very pleased. His checking account had a grand total of $2.38 left in it since he hasn't had a steady paycheck this past month.
** A coworker is going to start taking better care of himself and DS18 is going to join him in the effort. They are joining a local gym and will go after work every day. Coworker played football in college so wants to follow similar workout that he did during that experience. They have a meal plan in mind to do and hold each other accountable. Is this just dreaming or will they actually follow through? >>>shrugging shoulders<<<<
** He told me about his new experiences this weekend since he is legal age. A friend took DS18 to casino and showed him how to play slots and games. Another friend explained where to get a tattoo and explained the process. ***sigh*** I'm not saying anything for or against these experiences. He has been taught for 18 years how to act and conduct himself. IMHO, now it is time for me to sit back and see if he learned anything. If all those years of training didn't take, then there isn't much I can say now.

I have found some OOMPFFF

THE ballcap was lost. THE only one that is always on the man's head if he is past a door of our house - he might as well be accused of being nekkid than being without THE ballcap the grands gave him years ago. Well, it was SO lost. He was accusing robbers, elves, wild animals. We looked in ridiculous places. Eventually, we had to stop, having searched every crevice in a house too small to lose things, but I did keep saying it must be gravity. It must have been at a reasonable place, but fallen.

Long after we gave up, long after he had moaned, "I don't want another hat, I want MY hat," 20 times, I searched once more and saw a funny shaped textile something wedged behind the headboard, and sure enough, there it was, having been trapped there at the floor when we pulled the bed out search all its surrounds, and must have pushed it back, trapping the helpless INVALUABLE hat.

WHAT a relief. He was approaching about as much grief as I've seen him have over an inanimate object. You'd think a computer had died.

I called out loudly so as to let him know fast, "how much do you love me? What will you give me? What will you do for me?" But, of course, he just accused me of hiding it from him the whole time, lol.
