I'll play the anti procrastination game. Keep me accountable? I've got to make a bunch of raspberry jam today. No choice.
And I've got to get something started communication with ds. What are we doing for school in a few weeks. How do I help.

Good morning, everyone
My goodness, we were a productive group yesterday. Yes, plenty is awaiting attention here, though!
lucylee, wow 90-minute conversation with someone who probably needed it, but you weren't even going to talk at all? Ugh. BTDT. In fact, HRH would quickly tell you it was MY family, although his dmother can manage that with me, too (not with him). Good for you being there in that moment, and even more kudos for caring for the friend who needed help getting her car to a mechanic. She was so much better off calling out to you than if no one she knew was in that parking lot.
Lauralind, cheering you on today ~ \o/ ~ for raspberry jam (yum) and good communication.
Twins', thank you for the link. A quick read.
Nancy, I don't know if I'll also need a nap. I slept parts of the night - first part, last part - and laid awake in the middle. I know that just lying quiet in bed is better than nothing, but I wonder. I heard that someone (?) has researched and learned an hour of lying quiet is equal to 20 minutes of sleep. If a nap overtakes you, I hope it's a good one.
I've been out watering in the garden this morning. Lovely out there in the morning.
A second grocery order is arriving soon. We couldn't get everything we needed at the first choice yesterday. Plus, HRH has been on a dry cereal kick and completely ran us out of my almond milk, lol.

Re: Anti procrastination Wednesday PWYC
My anti procrastination task is getting out invitations, by email, for Rosh Hashanah afternoon, which is less than a month away. There are also numerous things around the house that can be attended to.
-I cleaned the drain plate inside the dishwasher and am running "Affresh" through it.
-I've cleaned jewelry, I think it was skipped last week?
-running roomba, skipped on Monday
Some other things I need to do today:
-write a couple of cemetery checks
-what else?

Good morning
After getting the teens launched to work & school, then I took DH to his appointment with family doctor to go over several tests results. None of the results were a surprise, but just confirmation of what I already know (reduced mental ability).
We are home for a couple hours and then will leave for DH dental appointment to fix a couple cavities. I will be cutting it close getting back in time to get DD15 from school. She has a meeting after school about the parade float so that will give me a little leeway.
I am having another 90% pain free day. The pain woke me up a couple times during the night, but it is nothing as severe as it has been. I am thankful.
Keystone habit (SHE cards) is in place and being used hourly.
A new opportunity has presented itself unexpectedly. In random conversation on the way to school this morning, DD15 said she is willing to work with a personal trainer! WHAt?! The girl that prefers to do less movement is now willing to exercise?! I am beyond thrilled about this!
Now the hard part - finding a trainer that DD15 can relate to and fits her needs.

Hi!
This morning I was making dh some pasta salad. Part of the process is microwaving the pasta. 4 minutes, then 3 minutes and then 1 minute. During the first round (4 minutes) I emptied the dishwasher and started to water all the inside plants. Beep, beep, beep went the microwave. During the 3 minute part, I finished watering the inside plants. Beep, beep, beep. During the 1 minute cycle I made sure the strainer was clean and dry and I took the Miracle Whip out of the fridge and mixed the seasoning packet into 1/2 cup of MW. I got 3 procrastinated things done in less than 10 minutes!!
I dealt with all house garbage earlier this morning. We had a thunderstorm so Mother Nature helped me clean out most of the garbage cans outside! I leave the lids off if they are empty, so I just had to empty the rain water and turn them all over so the insides would dry. Now that the cans are "clean" and dry, I can take out the bag of garbage and put the lid on the can.

I scrubbed down the outdoor furniture (6 chairs & table) with soapy scrub brush while DH used the water hose to rinse them. They look new again.
It took 2.3 seconds for them to dry in the heat and bright sunshine.
We leave again in 10 minutes. Three appointments in the same day is a big much, but we are getting them done. While we are in the city I'll swing by Sam's and pick up prescriptions waiting for us. I might as well do a quick walk through and get items on shopping list. Most of them are cold/fresh/frozen items.
What vegetables are safe to eat? Hum....I don't know. Until things settle down, I'll stick with those that can be peeled and/or cooked. Cucumbers, squash, spinach, potatoes, and cabbage seem safe. I'm still getting tomatoes and peppers from my garden.
I need to take Astra outside before we leave. *POOF*

Yup I get it. I so wish I could have kept that coach from last year's running for ds. He started with coaching wrestling and ds joined that too. Then the coaches son had some severe medical issues that made them move very quickly to the city. Ds really liked him. Finding someone that relates to him that he will accept help from is next to impossible. A good counselor/ coach would make a world of difference.
Hmmm my schedule is edited. Thankful for texting reminder. I thought my physio appointment was next week. 1230 it is. I guess I'll do my errands around that. I discovered I need more lids for jars anyway. A few groceries and take the donation bags with me.

Procrastination? Ha! If there were a prize for it, I know I would win. I know y'all have a hard time believing a functioning (?) person can live like I do.
After all my social time yesterday... it is almost 1:30 pm and I just now got out of bed! And that was only because I had to use the bathroom!
Today, however, the HAVE TO's are small...
I HAVE TO
* shower and wash/scrunch my hair
* go to the grocery store -- My real procrastination task for the day is deciding what to buy at the grocery store! I need more than fruit... but what...
* prepare a fruit tray
* be at church before 6:00 pm
I am really leaning towards a bowl of watermelon, cantaloupe, maybe honeydew.
I really like the article on the two minute/one thing practice, Twins. Thanks for sharing. I am going to make a real effort to keep that in mind. I may need a post-it on my mirror. I know that turning on the water in the shower is a BIG thing for me. Once I do that, it's easy to get in the shower and get on with my morning or night routine.
Mmmm... raspberry jam does sound good, Laura.
Nancy & Harriet -- an hour of lying still is worth a 20 minute nap? That is great news! (Of course, I do NOT think I will be napping today, LOL... but that is a good thought for future reference. I have been setting an alarm when I lie down, so as not to turn a short nap into a 3-hr state where I wake up wondering why it's dark outside!
LadyM... that was great the way you and dh teamed up to clean the patio furniture! Hope all goes well at the dentist -- and "high five" to dd on wanting to work with a personal trainer! I should follow that example too! (Found out last night that my new pastor has a personal trainer license, actually. I doubt he uses it however. He does go to the gym regularly and lifts weights and he definitely looks the part.)
I hope your back pain continues to ease and goes away completely SOON!
WTG, Cathy, on using the microwave timer!!! Sometimes I can get a lot done while on hold on the phone.
(LOL -- I should have been getting things done during that 90 minute conversation yesterday, but nooo... I just lay there like a lump.)
