Oy. I'm trying hard to be positive - this is such a lovely village and everyone is so positive! I had a lovely evening with dh last night - worked 'til seven p.m. then we went out to a nice restaurant on the mtn to eat. Nice discussion, nice evening, good food.

When I came home last night, I was almost in tears over the computer issue at work - I'm using an extra computer, but it doesn't have several apps that I need, has a old version of Excel and Word, and it's that things aren't set up the way my computer is. I'm feeling quite out of sorts and inefficient and I know I don't deal well with change. I like things how I like them.

We have a temple Exec committee meeting scheduled for tonight - I'm not sure there's much to discuss although perhaps it would get me moving on some issues I haven't followed up on. I'd like to cancel it but am debating doing so the morning of....

On top of that, I have a feeling that ddog Macs isn't feeling well, and I'm debating whether he should see the vet today. I had an odd realization earlier that he is dragging and drinking a lot of water again (it may be a stress thing) and then, twice, when I tried to rub him he yelped at me, which is not typical behavior for him. Once was when I tried to rub right ear, the other was when I tried to rub his chest. He's also walked away from me when I've approached him. You know, it's not so much that I'm thinking "Got to get him to the vet" but in light of the Cushing's disease and meds he's on, it worries me.

So that's my whine for the morning, and now I'm going to be positive and have a great day. My choice!

Good Morning!

Twins - Great theme for the day! Thank you

I'm reading a book called Success is not an accident that has me thinking hard. Amazon Prime had this book in its free section last week so I downloaded even though I wasn't looking for a self-help type of book. I haven't read anything by this author before but quickly was drawn to the book after reading a couple pages. This book has assignments at the end of the chapters that I tried to pass over but found myself unable to let go without attempting to answer them. So I have one question per sheet of paper and I've been working for a couple of days to answer them. In one way it is depressing to see how hard it is for me to answer some of the questions, in another way it is inspirational to see how important it is to focus on what matters.

LO slept the whole night with only a couple mild coughing episodes. SWEET! It has been so long since I have slept an uninterrupted night that I can't remember when the last time was. When I woke up this morning, it with with a sense of surprise to find the sun coming up and we weren't in a mini crisis. Nice. Nice. Nice. :)

OKay and LO - glad you both got some sleep last night.

Twins - hope today goes well for you.

I'm up early as I didn't sleep well last night. Today is the day we go downtown Phoenix for DH's Heart CT. It shouldn't be much of a big deal but it has been on my mind all week. This should be the last test and I'm glad to get it over with.

The weather has turned cold here and we were spoiled after so many warm sunny days. It will be better by the weekend and next week we hope.

Best get breakfast out of the way before DH gets up as he can't have any. I always hate to eat when he cant.

At work - decided to "watch" Macs by coming home late in the afternoon to check on him. Called dh to ask if he saw anything amiss and he commented that Macs didn't meet him at the door last night, and came downstairs slowly finally to greet him. (If he's been fortunate enough to stay inside, he usually meets us at the door as we come in.)

Am cancelling temple exec committee meeting for tonight - only six people including me - so won't be hard to be sure they get the word today. May be able to meet if needed before board meeting next week.

Extra computer is up and running, although IT guy hasn't done anything to own my computer since sometime yesterday. He left for the day at 3:30 yesterday - trying to decide whether I should say anything to TPTB about the lack of progress.

Twins - For a corrupt profile the fix usually takes less than 15 minutes. I'm wondering if maybe something more extensive is happening to computer. Hope all is well with it soon and can be put back to the way that is a help to you.

MT - YEAH for last test! Looking forward to hearing the results.

Breakfast is served (bacon, eggs, banana, milk). i'm off schedule today but am feeling better than yesterday so am energized by that.

I choose t0....
** restore kitchen to MM
** update SHE cards
** set up LO lessons for today

Wow, Dove, that is great progress on making a plan to exercise and a method to stay interested! Gotta love innovation.

Lilac, isn't it wonderful to see little children playing and imagining.

Poor Macs, Twins Mom. Doesn't sound like he's too happy and it certainly could be that feeling unwell makes him fuss at those he loves.

Terrific to sleep all night, OKay! It's a good book if it gets you thinking so intently.

Indiana, it must be a little disconcerting to folks there to have a boss/manager leaving and other upheaval. Bet you are a good person to talk to for them.

Thinking of Mr. Emptynester and Mr. Sunny as they put up with extra tests and await news.

Dove, once upon a time, I remember a noise with start-up of a computer was dust in the flywheel, which could be blown out.

Have just gotten HRH off on a late day schedule. School run went well. Got my ddad to agree to traditional breakfast I had laid out rather than a honey-bun. Everyone keeps bringing him treats and I have to nearly hide them to get nutrition to take their place. Half of outside chores done and will get back to that at warmer temps. Today is towels lol, reds mini-lol, bedroom weeklies, outdoor Focus, storage declutter (I'll concentrate on bedroom).

Bought last evening the ground flax I'll need to make Dr. Oz' and Jorge Cruise's Skinny Breakfast Muffin in a Mug but I think I'll have an omelet today, the girls are working so hard. :)

Good morning! At payroll I will be working on the neverending flowchart. I am really curious as to how many pages it will take, that has been motivating me to keep at it rather than go on to another script that needs flowcharting. DD9 is DD10 today. We had Girls' Night Out at Chuck E Cheese last night after eating Chinese food. Because I was sick Sunday, we did last minute valentines day card shopping as well and found something for her to give XDH. I managed to get in 5 minutes of exercise bike. Snow on the ground this morning, my youngest cat (11) was looking out the kitchen windows at it. For DD's birthday, I am going to her school to eat with her. I will probably eat dinner at church. I have one more address change to make (that i know of).

Helia: I watched the first episode of Downton Abbey on the plane to Africa and can see how one could get so hooked on the show! I know several people who have/are watching it and it is at our library so I'll be joining them when I get home.

Nancy: Seabands are tight knitted bands with a plastic button on them. I put them on my wrists and they provide acupressure to reduce queasiness. They, along with ginger candy, are my first line of defence with seasickness. The second line, this trip, is ginger capsules. Finally I have dramamine.

My legs are itchy again (like my cruise on SilverSea last year) so I'm annoyed. They kept me awake for a few hours through the night. Dh was up with gastro issues (not seasick) and I didn't hear him at all. Can't believe that but feel like a lousy wife.

Lucylee: We no longer have civil defence sirens set up in the city but when I was a kid, they still did. One day they were testing them during class. It was almost a mile away but over open power line fields so we could hear it clearly. My teacher was unable to teach and became agitated. So she gave up trying to teach whatever she had planned and gave us a history lesson instead. She was Scottish and during the war the Luftwaffe bombed her neighbourhood. So she told us a bit about what it was like to be a young teen during WWII and having to take shelter whenever she heard air-raid sirens.

Dove: I'm glad the idea works for you. I am also blasting music because I find it easier to keep the my speed up because I'm forced to walk to the beat.

We are back in the cabin having consume while resting after an amazing afternoon. Will write more later.

I just found out the project I am working on is coming to an end. I may not have a job to come back to after my cruise. I've been asked about any business opportunities I know about. I don't really know any, I've always been a cog in the wheel, not a mover and shaker. I so don't want to be out of work again.
