Wild Wednesday

I don't really think it will be a very wild day, LOL! Maybe we could all do something wild, just to shake things up a bit?

I tell you what it would be wild for me if I could go to bed before 1:00 a.m. Between The Hunger Games trilogy and Dance Moms... I am acting like I think I'm a college kid and, sad to say, my body is NOT responding as such.
I DID exercise last night for the first time in a L...O...N...G while, so maybe I am slowly returning to "normal" around here.

Spring break here is the week of April 16, Harriet. Not a minute too soon.

Okay... let's try for the shower... maybe that will wake me up.

I started to call my topic "weather alert Wednesday," but I'm probably the only one here who needs to be weather alert today. We are expecting high winds & hail, but no tornadoes. I do wish they would send us home early, but that's probably just wishful thinking.

Here's my opening for today, which I had titled Find Your Voice Wednesday

When checking email while on the treadmill this morning, I found this link from dh. It looked so spammy I nearly didn't click on the link but he signed the fwd using his term of endearment instead of his name, so I took a chance.

This is on our Come Sing leader and all the work he does in encouraging people to find their voice. Dh and I are in the first 2 minutes of the 7 minute video since that is focused on his Come Sing work. Beyond is descriptions of some of the other work he does. Literally, he takes people so emotionally damaged that they won't talk (let alone talk in public) and uses singing/chanting to break the logjam so they can find/refind their voices.

I need to find my voice today because I have serious writing to do. In what ways do you need to speak up/out today? In what ways can you incorporate song to help you through the day?

I woke up with the same headache. It might be settling in as an eye inflammation, not sure yet.

I'm on the treadmill since I may as well push through this.

Harriet: yesterday afternoon I took 800 mg of ibuprofen. At bed I took 2 extra strength tylenol. I took 400 mg of ibuprofen this morning (that is usually a double dose for me, since I take so much, I try to take only 200 mg at a time in case it is the placebo effect that is working and not the med.)

After 4 cans of caffeinated diet soft drink on Monday, I only had one yesterday so that might be part of the issue (when I go off that, I get major headaches even if I drink caffeinated tea.)

Since I didn't do anything for Lent, I've decided to use the season of Easter to make a push on being healthy. My logic - new lifestyle to go with the new life given through Easter.

The storms in Dallas made our news so I was thinking of OKay already this morning. Forgot you'd be in the path as well.

Got 2 recipes printed out already so I can see what I need to buy when grocery shopping later today. Have an appointment at 11am for a perm, then groceries, then pick up gd.

DD left a bowl of oatmeal for me -tasted so good!

Got a phone call last night to let me know of dpastor's Mom (up home). Dpastor returned from an Israel trip wee hours of Saturday, only to get a call that her Mom had taken a bad turn and she needed to head to Dallas. She left in the wee hours of Sunday. Guess her Mom rallied enough to know she was there but passed away yesterday. Dpastor was trying to communicate with people at church up home but had to take cover. Haven't heard how the area of Dallas she's in fared. Do know her Mom's funeral is Thursday and she plans to come home Friday to be there for Easter. Then she has to go back to Dallas as she's the executor -that just dawned on them yesterday. I think she will be exhausted if she's not already.

Talked to dh yesterday. He had gone to 'calling hours' for ddil's dsdad. Said DS-R & DDIL had gotten in from their cruise on Saturday night.

Better get a move on -have to find some coupons and do makeup/hair. Not fussing much with my hair this morning though, since I'm going from here to the hairdresser.

Very strange tax season, and I am in a very strange mood these days.

DD is probably coming home for Passover - tonight I need to boil a bunch of eggs as our contribution to the seder. I'll peel them tomorrow night.

With a whooping cough or pertussis out break on the west side of the Washington state I'm SO glad I'm up to date on my shots. So a note to all the granny's and mom's here be sure you are up on yours too!

We have rain rain and more rain I'm SO glad I mowed yesterday. Getting soup going in the crock pot is my next goal today. I did much better yesterday at the Rx place compared to last week. H. & I had a good convo. over lunch last week he was upset. I was not able to sit still not sure what was up as it was way busier yesterday so it wasn't the amount of folks there. Strange I'm thinking hormones... LOL! Nice to have that to blame all my weirdness on don't you think?

Good morning! I got most of yesterday's things to do done. We had Girls' Night Out with Chinese food and Chuck E. Cheese. The friends we usually see there were not there though. I got crochet done while DD10 played games. We left early because I had to take care of XDH's dog while he is away and pick up some things for DD at his house. Thank goodness DD had no homework! I left checks at XDH's house. I did cook the pork chops, but still have not put away laundry. I had to go back to XDH house to pick up medicine for DD and so we got to bed late. I was awfully hard to get up this morning. Tonight is Girl Scout night, so we are having dinner at Arby's. I found out that dd thinks she is going to be with her Dad this entire weekend. Since he had her all last weekend, I think I should have her Saturday as usual. One way or the other, I need to find out.

Harriet: I had ringing in the ears from Disalcid, which i think is an NSAID. I was told by the pharmacist not to take it again. Also, I was told other symptoms to watch for (since forgotten), for which I should head to the emergency room. If someone is having this symptom, check with doctor or pharmacist ASAP.

Ds is coming by after work and probably dstepson, too, and we'll have cake and bday present/cards with my ddad now 94.

Not at all unusual for Rx place woes to bring out weirdness, Nancy. I think poor Dee has been amazing through all her woes with Rx places.

Twins Mom, I hope dd has a good visit and that her frustration with friends is over soon.

Wow, do be cautious, bittersweet. Pay no attention to the calendar and give the day your January thoughtfulness to be safe.

I have had coughing spells this a.m. but as of right now have gone my longest ever without any med or cough drop, so things may be improving.

Ds says that every call he goes on now is either about respiratory problems, or finds a family member or concerned neighbor/witness trying to control a cough while worrying over the called-in problem.
