For Mr. MT. So glad he's doing better and it's about time for him to go home.

Not sure what I'm going to do today. I feel at loose ends. Picking up gd and taking her to DD after school today. (They're going to DSIL's Mom's for dinner). An evening to myself? After last night with gd it may feel like a breath of fresh air. She absolutely pushed DD's last button and over the edge last night.

For once I slept really well last night -all the way to 5am. Got up, went back to bed and slept for another hour and a half. Felt good.

I managed to erase EVERYTHING from my iphone late yesterday. DD and I took it to AT&T and at least got my contacts put back in (from my old SIM card) so at least have those. But I also lost all my pictures! and all my apps. So starting over. Keep thinking I put the pics on my computer but so far haven't found them. I think things are now saved to the cloud. Have no idea how that works so we'll see.

Good Morning!

I am starting to add activities back in today at a slow pace. I will return to following my schedule tomorrow. I am looking forward to it!

Today PODA -
** LO lesson
** Picnic/fishing at lunch. I will only observe others fish this week.
** DH has children shelter board meeting....which translates into supper needs to on the table early
** prep for tomorrow evening event at church

Day 2 so far of the trash challenge is going fine. I can't say stellar because I need to make sure I take it early in the morning or late at night but it is fine.

My to home today is putting my attention is do people feel welcome when they come to my home.

That's nice because both Cowinkie and Twins' Mom are just now passing milestones that mean more time "to home" for them.

It's a lovely day today the only one we will be getting this week according to the forecast. Do I decided we could skip errands and stay home and grill for lunch.
I have taken the trash out to the curb.
Coffee is done now I gave the kit. a quick spiff while it was brewing glad I did up the evening routine last night yea!
I slept well but my back is a bit sore must have slept in an odd position.
Bs is a bit better today.

Finished the caplet I was working on yesterday it turned out wonderful, I've started another one in shades of pink.

It was raining yesterday so I was unable to mow so that chore awaits. The purple leaf plum is nearly done blooming and the apple tree has begun it has bloom on the lower third of the tree. It's lovely when it's in full bloom. Some years it's all open by Easter but has been too cold this year.

I'll have granny duty this afternoon.

Surely you jest, Harriet. Sleeping in the city is not like sleeping in the country. It doesn't help if DH reads the clock wrong and calls me at 2:30!! But I am showered, dressed and almost packed – just waiting for them to get the breakfast downstairs set up.

You can't know how much this village helped us this week. Your support is wonderful.

God smiled on us with this. The Dr. said this could have been a widow maker. If it wouldn't have been that surgery consult before they fixed his finger, we would have never known he had a heart problem. We are blessed.

I'm off to breakfast - see you from home this afternoon.

Good morning, villagers ~

We've had several storms roll through since Friday, which have meant limited computer time. We were lucky that the tornadoes did not make it this far. The high winds, lightning, heavy rain & threat of large hail were quite exciting enough, thankyouverymuch.

Very glad to hear the Mr Emptynester is doing well.

I did the first draft of our federal taxes Friday -- early! I always let them age for at least a day before re-checking the math. Mailed yesterday afternoon. State taxes are due the end of the month and I will try to start them Monday.

Sewing group board meeting tonight. That always takes several hours of prep work spread out over a few days. I think our snowbird treasurer was supposed to start driving back home last week, but I haven't heard from her. If she comes to the meeting, I can give her back the checkbook and receipts file. I like doing the bookkeeping and will probably volunteer to do it next year. However, doing the treasurer's duties as well as the president's work makes for a busy winter, and I will be happy to lighten the load.

Nap time! Where are the cats? Oh, right, they're waiting for me ...

Good morning everyone! Last night I went to the luggage store, pretty far away from my usual haunts, and got a money belt. I also bought a yardstick so I could get something from beneath the stove. I had a disappointing dinner at Church's Fried Chicken, I know the french fries used to be better. When I got home, I sewed buttons on a doll sweater, I have only to sew the buttons on the hat now. The newest foster cat is in the sewing room and I got to pet her, though she hisses at me when I first get in. She actually jumped up on the sewing table to get more attention. I need more sleep, but may not get it tonight, as it is Girls' Night Out. It will probably be Chuck E Cheese and Chinese food. Guess I should get back to payroll.

Glad the tornadoes missed you, BookSaver -- but it certainly sounds like you had enough excitement! Maybe the weather will calm down now.

We're getting much-needed rain this morning. It's actually kinda chilly outside. But boy, we certainly needed it. Windy dry days have REALLY added to the pollen count around here and after two outside-days last weekend, I was definitely feeling it!

Looks like MAYBE a more productive day around here. At least things have started out well:

[x] dh made appt w/ac man (right -- our ac has been out for about a week!)
Now...

[ ] vacuum as much as possible before bug lady gets here
[ ] do some school work
[ ] investigate the CARDS a little bit??? Hmmm...
