Harriet, you ALWAYS know the right thing to say to make someone feel better. That is a special trait that not everyone possesses.
Ditto that.
Lilac,
Harriet IS right. New construction can bring all kinds of headaches, delays, frustrations... * whew *
Try not to second guess yourself.
(((
Indiana))) I missed your episode also, but I know you could not have handled anything too badly, and I am extremely confident that you will have this straightened out and put behind you ASAP

Contemplating... oh my... I'm just contemplating how glad I am that all societal obligations are (almost!) over for this weekend!!!

Last night's party was... fine. It was certainly nothing to write home about,

but it wasn't HORRIBLE. There were a lot of people there we did not know, and a lot of people we had NOTHING in common with... but we did sorta congregate with some familiar faces and it was okay.
We got away by 9:00 pm and went to a movie.

Today, 5th Sunday music was extremely well received, although dh was frustrated. After 3 hours' practice spread out over the last two weeks, they omitted certain songs and changed arrangements of others on the fly, so to speak... but as I said, congregation seemed to enjoy it very much.
However, dh had to be at church @ 8:00 a.m., so this day started an hour earlier than our Sundays usually do and we were pretty sleepy by the time we got home.

I have just attended the 90th birthday celebration of fellow church-goer, which was also very crowded, but I got to visit a little with a former teacher, and some others in the church whom I don't speak to often enough, so that was good. The honoree is probably one of the few people living who remembers my late dgfather and his family from childhood, so it always does me good to talk with him -- and I really need to talk with him more. Dmom says I need to
make time to visit him and have him tell me stories about my great-grandparents & my grandfather & his brothers & sisters. But... * sigh * ... things like that are always easier said than done, and there is never enough time. Plus, of course, I do not want to impose on him. He has not been in very good health lately. I'm glad he was able to be at the party, actually.

One more thing to do... must go to administrative council meeting at church and then type minutes later tonight.
After THAT, I can contemplate the week ahead.
I MUST do laundry for ironing lady tomorrow...
I must get some addresses together for dcousins in prep for baby shower... PRAYING that they get the church reserved on one of the few Sundays we will be available between now and due date...
I really need to grade some papers...
And I REALLY need to GMAT re: exercise. Oh my... this weekend has been You-Know-What on my weight. * sigh *
