Re: Happy Mother's Day
Thank you for opening Indiana
I had a nice sunny day here today. Phone calls with family.
I went to the movie - Marigold Hotel - this afternoon.
Long live the oldies.
My mother always told us...
to keep a clear pathway.
don't do that if the queen comes to visit.
go outside to fight.

Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Re: Happy Mother's Day
I'd better reserve the right to come back and add here! LOL. I'm certain I'm forgetting important ones. Oh, Lynlee, those are so good.
Mother advice:
Just because someone needs to be told something doesn't mean you need to be the one to tell them.
To teach a child to work, work along with them.
Grandmother advice:
Never say anything bad about anyone. His brother may be standing right behind you.
(sternly) If you would speak to a dog on the street, you can speak to your fellow man.
Aunt advice:
Carry nice new Kleenex. You never know.
Find something to say besides a curse word, and practice saying it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dd's hair looked nice for church this morning from the moment she took it down, so she's delighted, but of course I found better ways to do it on the internet last night after she went to bed. This should help on the school mornings coming up for the next 4 years, when she'll have very little morning preparation time.
Happy Mother's Day to All!
Today at work is a day of first amongst our co-workers.
It is the first mother's day for Vanessa with her young son.
It is the first mother's day with both of her children no longer with us for Joyce.
It is the first mother's day for me without my mom.
But as women and friends we will support each other.
Sunny day here.
Mother always told me: be happy for others when good things come their way.
Have a wonderful day all!
Re: Happy Mother's Day
My Mom always said that "This, too, shall soon pass away." Meaning and things change and just hang in there.
We slept with all the windows open and we were still hot most of the night. I think we have to break down and turn on the AC.
It is time I get my blog up. I will have pictures of the dresser before, during and after finishing it.
Have a happy day.
Happy Mother's Day everyone!
Harriet I was a gal in curlers the other day and thought I haven't seen any one in curlers in for ever! My hair is great just after I take it down from being up in a twisted bun. =D
I'm up coffee is going.
bs is better today
Dishes are going I did not do any yesterday to give my self a break and I was out in the yard working it was perfect weather for it! I'll be doing more of the for my exercise today.
[No church for me do not want to pas this bug along to any one.]
Today I have a plan I need to get the chairs washed so we can eat out side here tomorrow
evening. I also need to move the folding table up and out of the basement.
Round up the plastic table cloth for it as well.
I'm feeling better this morning my throat is less stratchy so that is good.
I read a book yesterday; Keep Your Brain Alive by Lawrence C. Katz enjoyed it a lot!
I and have another one going today by James Patterson so i will be doing reading more of that one today as well.
Re: Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day everyone!
Came here the last few days, but got interrupted and sidetracked so never got the chance to post. Thursday we had an errand day. Dropped off two bill payments, stopped at the post office to send mail and buy stamps, then went on to shop at Joanne's and the quilt shop. We ended up at our favorite seafood place for an early supper.
Friday our ds#2 was supposed to come to edge the front yard and mow the back yard. Dh had started in the back and got most of it done. So Friday morning we spent about two hours cleaning up, raking leaves and picking up all the dead branches that had fallen out of the oak tree over the winter. Looks so much better now. I came inside to rest a little, took three ibuprofin and after a while went out to get the mail and sweep the driveway; ended up raking leaves in front also. By that time ds was here and we visited while he worked.
We're looking forward to ds#2 and ddil to come this afternoon. Their two girls went with ddil's dbro to visit her dmom for the day, so we won't get to see them. Beef roast is in the slow cooker, will fix potatoes and veggie later. Cupcakes for dessert. Should be a quiet evening.
Dh found a few old vhs tapes he made from our movie camera and is now trying to copy them to dvd. He's not quite sure how the process works so we'll see if he figured it out right.
Re: Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all in the village! Went to church and enjoyed all the Mother's Day greetings with friends. The first day we attended our church was on Mother's Day in 1983, so it was our 29th anniversary today. Fun to share that our current minister, as he performs the welcoming ceremony for our new members today.
Back home relaxing now. No big plans for the day, just taking it easy.
Enjoy the day, whatever your plans are.
Mom said, "Stand straight and tall and look people in the eyes. They will respect you for your dignity and graciousness."
