I hope everyone has a wonderful Father's Day. Although my ddaddy and dgpas are gone this is still a day for good memories.

Good morning!

I am celebrating Father's Day by visiting with DDad later today. That is all DDad wants - more visits. Sooo I'm going to rework my daily schedule to spend more time with DParents. Balancing the multi-generation daily needs is a challenge, but I'm feeling nothing but blessed. Last night when i left their home, DDad thanked me. He is always so grateful for even the smallest things I do for him. Yup! Feeling honored to have one more Father's Day with DDad.

I've laid steaks out to grill for DH today. Between cooking 3 meals, visiting DParents, church and caring for LO the day will go by blazing fast.

On the road again. A whole 40 miles to get to our next stop. We are off on time - we'll probably wake up the camp hosts at the campground.

It will be nice to have full hookups so I can take a long hot shower.

TTFN - must work on blog as we travel.

We are parked in our new spot and have paid for a month. I think we will only be here 3 weeks but paying for a month was cheaper.

Tried to call my daughter but she isn't answering her phone.

Up and about here and I've read the paper and need to get rolling. We need to be out of here in about an hour for a memorial service and meal of consolation. I said earlier that I'd hoped to take dh out for brunch today but we should be at the temple today. The family delayed this over a week because our rabbi was out of town, but I hate it that it's on Father's Day and interferes with what I'd prefer to do. And eating a big meal at temple, I think, precludes taking dh out later.

It's muggy out today and did not cool off much last night.
I've watered. We fertilized the yard & garden yesterday. H. had issues surrounding that and he let me know it was not his perfect plan and what "his" way of doing it was sigh I was just trying help! He does it in the evening when it's cool welly that makes sense but you water first! ~sigh~ not after. Men!!! sigh

Watched a movie "I Dreamed of Africa" last night it was dramatic scenery was great I enjoyed it.

Today is uber-busy around here, too. I've got all the usual critter care, plus four kittens to deliver to a friend about an hour and a half from here (she's taking them to a rescue in Calgary), then back home to drop off DH who needs to go visit his mom as she hasn't been feeling well lately. I'll spend the rest of the afternoon with my dMum, and when I get back from that - if it hasn't rained too much - I need to finish the front bed, get some laundry folded up and put away, and finish off some kittycat pads.

That's the bare bones of today's schedule, and doesn't include cooking meals, cleaning up the kitchen, walking the dogs, possibly ear mite treatment for a couple of the cats......and this is my day off?? LOL..no wonder I find work more relaxing than being at home!

I'm giving myself 10 more minutes on this thing, and then I have to get moving!

Good morning, and Happy Father's Day to all!
We're home from church, waiting till time to go to the restaurant for lunch w/ddad.
DH is at least pleased w/his FD gifts -- ds hit the jackpot again! He found a YouTube clip of dh's favorite football coach of all time, AU's Shug Jordan, in his last tv show. DH, of course, had no idea such a thing existed! DS put it on a dvd so they are looking forward to watching that together.
Ddil made it to church and I think I did okay w/not being too "hovering" or whatever.

Now -- if I can just get through the afternoon w/out feeling to guilty for not visiting dparents/dbro, since dbro arrived Friday night. Ddad did NOT feel well yesterday, and my rationale was that he didn't need company, and I didn't need to take dbro away from him since they have so little time together.

Good memories abound today! Daddy made the best breakfasts (the only meal he ever cooked). It was usually grits, eggs and livermush (a regional thing). He also made great milkshakes in the blender and would add in whatever fruit we had--even cantaloupe! This was way before anyone ever heard of a smoothie!

All the men at church today got an individual-sized homemade pie, baked by the pastor's wife. She made about 6 different kinds and must have made about 75 of them. She also sings like an angel. She and the pastor make a great team. Think we'll be joining soon. Definitely feel "at home" there.

I usually have a plan for lunch, but not today. Just gave DH a big bowl of fresh cherries. Those should help with his gout. Now must go fix us some kind of healthy lunch...

DD and DS will call DH later, I'm sure. DD sent him 2 magazine subscriptions. DS does not plan ahead for gifts. For Mother's Day, he called and sang me a silly song. That was fine, we just like hearing from him and DD.
