Tuesday, Tuesday

Post by Emptynester »

Tuesday sometimes seems like a nothing day. It isn't the start of the week, not hump day, not the weekend - it is just Tuesday.

What gift of Tuesday can you give yourself today?

Today we are making the trip out to our mail forwarding service again. I called yesterday and our meds are there. I love our meds service. The meds were sent back by mistake on last Thursday and they were already here by Monday. That's pretty good service. Too bad for the extra expense and trouble our mail forwarding caused but I'll be glad to have the meds.

I was able to get all three loads of laundry washed, folded and put away yesterday including remaking the bed. That felt good and the MH is still picked up from our company on Sunday.

I have a couple things I want to do today - one is to get a rebate sent in and the other is to check out an antique store when we go to our mail forwarding. We passed it last week when we were out there but I was focused on getting the med situation figured out so didn't stop. I would like to do that today.

I also have to find a rock for my DD#2. Sioux Falls is famous for the pink granite quarry. Most of the old buildings in town (and really the state) are made from this beautiful granite. The roads are pink because it is mixed into the cement. Anyway DD#2 want a fairly large rock for her memory berm. She has flowers and trees there planted in memory of loved ones and her dogs are buried there after they pass. So I promised her a rock. Now I just have to find where to get one.

Rainy Tues. is trash day here h. got it ready last night and took it out to the curb this morning when he got up to call in was to go in at 7:00 then it started to rain they called back and said he was on call.

64* 49* Today's temps. they are dropping as rains come in. Glad we are not in Florida!
I'm awake now had to get up to take bs and meds. I'm glad I did a walk last night my bs is better this morning than yesterday. Not perfect but better.

I was able to get the rest of all the laundry washed, folded and put away yesterday including sheets. That felt good & the house is still in good shape after picking up a bit around here yesterday. Dishes got ran through too and h. finished unloaded them while I was out on my walk. I even got some weeds pulled. I'm trying to pull a few each time I'm out in the yard.
God is doing the watering today! Yea!

I did get one skein of yarn on the lemon yellow prayer shall and have started on the next skein so that was great progress to see.

EN glad you got your meds. so soon.

Good Morning, Emptynester!

What an interesting quest, a special pink stone!

And why is Harriet in such a delightful mood, you might ask? Why, it is because she has lost a pound, that's why. First time an entire pound left at once in 2012, so I'm a happy camper.

Missed Desk Day mail yesterday, but it is in the box already today. My ddad has had a nice breakfast and we may walk later. I'll let the hens out and get a little sun for myself.

Your house looks lovely, Nancy!

I'm thinking Round Robin today! Whistle while you work... ...Put on that grin and start right in to whistle loud and long!

Heavy rain here today. Heavy enough that they have brought around rags to put in the tracks of the balcony sliding doors because the wind will push the water in even if the doors are closed. We've had to close the sea-side windows as well because the rain is beating hard enough against them, despite a 5' covered deck in front. And the heavy weather hasn't arrived yet.

I'm strangely extremely content right now, probably because we are tucked into a great place with great company.

We had a fabulous, outdoor, day yesterday so today will be inside, plus laundry, plus movie in the nearest town with a theatre. Ds learned how to play cribbage yesterday and beat me last night. We have Scrabble, dominoes and a half dozen other games as well.

We are starting the day with a pancake and breakfast dinner. The villa smells good.

DEFINITELY not a "nothing" day here... and I won't be giving myself any gifts today... but by the end of the day, Lord willing, we will have the gift of a healthy dgrandson. Can't wait to see him!
Tomorrow is another day.

Good Morning!

LOVE Tuesday!!! Tuesday noon is our time set aside to have a picnic. We try to picnic in a different location each time. Most of the time we add in a fun activity - fishing, spray park, hiking, etc. Today we are picnicking at a local swimming pool. It has been awhile since LO has been in a swimming pool and I want his first time back in the water to be calm and reassuring so he can build up his confidence. (ie.....not with his Brothers who want to make sure he doesn't grow up to be a sissy) Today swimming will be dunk-free day in the water. :D

Today lunch will be cheese & perminto. WONDER WHERE i GOT THE IDEA FOR THIS MEANU???

I made the decision this morning to "pull the plug" on the internet router. Why? I keep coming to the end of the day and can't account for much of my time. I suspect that I might be using the internet more than I realize and it is the place my time oozes away. Soooo.... being on the internet will become an intentional activity for awhile while I test this time ooze theory. :)

Good morning! Errand day has been interupted & is temporarily on hold until dh returns from the dentist. While eating breakfast out this AM his temporary crown fell off -- oops! I offered to run the errands by myself but he wants to go to two of the stores so I'll wait until he gets back.

Started getting a jump on tomorrow's tasks when I got home but have decided to make a cup of tea & visit here instead until he returns.

Off to cuop ~~~~~waving to everyone!

With the wet cool rainy day we are having here it's a good day to use the oven. I've made up a batch of home made granola h. is having that for breakfast now that he's up. Trash truck is on our street. Thinking of the crock pot soup chili later on might do the granola for my lunch today instead and have the other for dinner.

Exercising inside might get out the umbrella later on if it eases up later on this afternoon for my walk we will see.

Jounraling is done.
