Rough night (again). But now I'm working on getting awake and productive.

Did not like the number on those dratted scales this morning. They lie, right? That's it! I am going to the gymn today!! (and for the forseeable future). It should be easy walking here around the pond(s) but I just don't seem to get to it.

Finally cooler this morning. Opened the patio door and closed the screen, turned off the AC. It ran for a little while last night and that was it.

Indiana, not sure I said how good it is to see you posting again.

DD bought a program for her computer to try to recapture DDIL's pictures from her camera. They just kept disappearing every time she opened it. Said, "card corrupted". The only thing she could think was she took it to a picture machine at W Mar t last week. I'm wondering if that's what happened to some of mine from our vacation to the midwest 2 years ago. Can't find any of the ones we took of our RV being built or around Indiana -except I do have pictures of me with our dIndiana, missing ones I took of our dfriends in Indianapolis and then have some of friends in Hannibal, MO. But now that I think of it there were also none in Branson. So DD is going to try the program on my card and I'll get a new one.

I've had meds and coffee -that's it. That's as far as I've gotten.

Hope you're beginning to feel more rested, Twins.

Yes, Happy Anniversary to the OKays today! Have a happy celebration today! :D

Quiet morning here - by 10 ReStore will come for those windows, so I need to be dressed. Have been looking at patio furniture at Tar-jay online. I took the dogs separately around the back yard this morning and sat with them on the patio awhile. Macs doesn't want much to do with it but did walk around a little looking fearful. (He got a taste of the sting the other day from the invisible fence.) Moe might be to the point he'd be okay in the back yard, but shows no desire to wander out there.

DH and ds are at work, thankfully. Hoping that ds does okay driving himself today.

My job for the day is to unpack and put stuff away, what a surprise...there's still a box with the glasses for the kitchen, and another (or the same) with the kitchen dish drain somewhere. The door from into the garage lost its bottom hinge earlier in the week and is loose - need builder to fix before it falls off the hinge altogether.

I think I am going to try for tomorrow to go get the needed chest X-ray for my dr visit next week. I need to get a comprehensive li$t going also - too many things OMM right now.

Last cup of coffee then I need to get rolling.

House is lovely and cool this morning - well under 70. So my workout is going very well. I slept better and have more energy this morning.

Busy day here writing. And if I get time, finishing the housecleaning by vacuuming and dusting the basement. And if I get more time, figuring out how to catalog all my preaching books and then how to shelve them. I've got 3 dozen videos to watch and a tv and players set up in my creative room so can do that at the same time as cataloging.

Choir went well last night but not stellar. I was sat next to a soprano so had a hard time following my part and not following her or getting distracted and start listening to her beautiful voice. Need to work on the notes more at home but that adds an hour a day to my must dos.

I'll skip choir tonight but I'm going on Saturday. Dh is going tonight but not on Saturday because he's off the 'family Christmas' with his siblings (and their kids, including ds.) I'm skipping that because it would not be polite to leave before 9 p.m. (it starts at 5) and it is a 4 hour drive home. I can't preach well if I have been out too late the night before.

We got the rest of the fruit cocktail in small containers for his lunches for the next few days.

Coffee and bed are both made.
Did some journaling last night.
Thinking of my QT for today.

Hubby had not turned on his p/c for a while and could not get it to shut off so I told him to unplug the brain part of it.

Happy Anniversary to the Okays!

The bug guy has come and gone. I am waiting for dh to get home. Then we are going to the town 50 miles away and get his motorcycle. The wiring to the tail light had rubbed and caused it to malfunction as in no tail light but at least he had brake lights and blinkers. It is still under warranty, so no charge.

Guess I better be ready to hit the road. I would like to stay and go to H obby L obby but I really don't have time. I'm not crazy about 2 hours on the road today but can't be helped.

I've made some progress. Kitchen counters are cleared (at least mostly) and kitchen cleaned up a bit. ReStore called for directions and picked up their stuff, and in going out to the garage I found dish drain and the usual stuff that lives under the kitchen sink. Also some other stuff that dh and ds came bring in for me later, I hope. Too ddogs out for a little walk around backyard, then around the circle so they are tired out.

I hung an oversized clock in the great room where it can be seen from this room or the kitchen. Call it the inaugural holes made in the walls here. I don't think I mentioned that when dfriends S&M came over on Sunday night, they helped do some rearranging of furniture and deciding where some of larger pictures will go.

Also saw builder at house next door, and reminded him about our door to garage as I'm afraid it will entirely come off the hinges if not repaired soon. He said he has a guy coming by today to take care of and I realized that probably means I shouldn't make a trip to grocery until ds gets home....

Trying to figure out what to do next....

Good morning.

Happy Anniversary to The OKays!

helia, I agree with you about not finishing early. DD32 decided to finish in 3.5 years, but since the masters program she eventually chose didn't happen until the regular fall schedule, the benefit simply wasn't there.

Of course, not finishing early would cause a smile with ds27, who still has only his associate degree, although many classes toward the bachelor's. He had (and still has) the funny situation of the promise of his bachelor's 100% paid for by the state, but the funding is postponed right now during this financial situation. I talked to him at supper the other night about just working it into their own budget and paying for it themselves. Of course, that's a hard decision as they are saving up, and have the new baby, and everyone is telling them it will be free if he will just be patient... ....

New baby ... ... the one whose bday party is Saturday. Wow. How does time fly like this?

I don't know that I am wearing a bathing suit Saturday to the "splash" place. That is just about as far out of my comfort zone as possible. Walking around for a couple hours wading-only.... ... in a bathing suit? I understand the dfirstil's were invited and are trying to work things out to come. So I certainly don't see how that's going to be a "splash" situation for dfirstmil94, plus I don't need the criticism/comparison opportunities otherwise. That's bad enough indoors! Dd13 can certainly provide our household's splash-support.
