SUNDAY SUGGESTIONS

Post by DeeClutter »

Do you have something that works well for you -that little thing that you've thought of posting perhaps. We all lean on and learn from each other here. What a wonderful village!

You're right, Kathryn. I'd forgotten that Mom's only get sick when there's time! :D Hope you're feeling a tad better today and can't wait for you to have definitive diagnosis. Know all too well how it is living with the 'wondering'.

I had lost some of my notes from June's church council meeting. Even emailed one person to see if she could get a copy of her notes. Finally realized this morning where they probably were (very logical really!). Wallah! There they were. Did get a bunch of sorting done in the process at least.

Have to get ready for church. DH is working so can't go. Not sure this is going to 'work' -he isn't liking working all weekend. He's now supposed to work Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon. Other man hired when he was sick is working Tues, Wed, thurs.

Now I have to think on if I have 'suggestions' to pass along.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

It was a rough night with the itching. On the other hand, since I'm spending so much time in bed, I really don't miss the rest!

I'm up and have had my breakfast. I'm going to try and stay up long enough to enter chits into Quicken so those are cleaned up off my desk.

My only suggestion is to time your chores. It really does help you fit a chore in here or there so you don't fall as far behind when pressed for time.

Suggestions, that's a nice title. I suggested a youtube video in H and F a day ago - I do that kind of thing here often. I like having intelligent people to whom I can recommend something! :) There are those who probably never hear a recommendation from me because I don't feel they are wise enough or open enough to have interest in new ideas. Never have that feeling here, so I will give that compliment to the village this morning.

Kathryn, I had itching for a while a few years back and it was at a similar time dr sent me for all those tests. But no one ever said "this might be liver related", although it was my neighboring pancreas they scanned. I do think it was understood that it was systemic, not topical, with nothing to point to on the skin. Again, something that appeared in my health-life and disappeared before I got answers.

Twins' Mom, certainly do not do as I do with Sammie, who has actually held a management position here all her adult life. :D

Dd is not attending SS after all. We got an email that the SS hour is being given over to a particular mission emphasis meeting to which she has no connection. Both her teacher and substitute are involved, and although I'm sure they would welcome her attendance, she's decided to stay home.

Dh doesn't get how sick I am. He offered to drive someone to the event on Thursday. I've already nixed this last week, to both of them, but they both forgot dh has an appointment in town at noon. So he just came to me with a solution: I'll drive him to the bus early in the day, then come back home, and come into the city later in the day with the other person for the rehearsal and performance.

Of course, the other complicating factor is that my doctor goes on holidays on Friday so Thursday is the last day I have to see her to get the results from the ultrasound tomorrow. She's asked for a rush on the report. I'm facing the issue of how to get to the doctor's office (accepting that dh will be in the city with the car). For that, we may have to rent a car since that is cheaper than taking taxis (we have to pay for them to come out from the city.)

He really doesn't see that I can only see a few hours ahead at this point and have no sense of a future beyond Monday. But he thinks I'll be well enough to drive 50 miles and spend 7 hours up out of bed, 4 of them practicing or performing by Thursday?!

I got my first data entry goal done. And wrote my childhood best friend asking for hope (she works for Canadian Blood Services). And translated a letter the ISP decided I needed to get in French instead of English to see if I needed to take action.

I think I'm back to bed now.

Dh has left for church.

Morning y'all
Have no plans for today except to do laundry. Heat alert will continue till later this week. We had another dust storm last night, but no rain followed. Yesterday we were at 111 and fri 113. We're a out 5-6 degrees higher than normal for this time of the year. Don't see a cool down until later this week.

KIC I feel for you with the itching cause I'm in the same boat. My face, head eyes and shoulders are driving me crazy. I know that scratching will cause bumps and blisters so that and benedryl give me motivation to resist. I find distractions help as well.

I ended up dusting and vacuuming most of my house last night. I forget just how quick I can do it. Now that life has settled down a bit for me I am ready to start redesign my box and then working it. Sweetie is pleased that I am still decompressing, his words. He told me to take my time with the process. That hardest part for me so far is the feeling that I must be doing "something". I wake up every morning at 4:30, my normal time to get up when I work. I sort of go back to sleep but feel guilty getting up at 6:30. Sweetie keeps telling me I will get over feeling that way with time.

I hope y'all enjoy the day to come. I've got laundry to flip and start. Cy'all later

I'm getting more household bookkeeping done. Paid a few bills, reconciled a few accounts. Will shred some more chits. Getting the chits out helps declutter the kitchen. Plus it is making me feel more confident to have the expenses up to date.

Forgot to mention that Sweetie and I went to the first showing of the new Bourne movie on fri. We have never done that before. However the movie started at 1:00pm and I figured most of the kids would be in school. After we were seated I had to laugh. We were the youngest looking couple in the theater. Sweetie looked at me and said...Welcome to the retirement world :D I had to admit it's gonna take some time getting used to it, but I like it!!!!

The movie btw was great. If you've enjoyed the other Bourne movies, you'll like this one too.

Went to back up my quicken files and discovered my backup drive is full. So am cleaning that up now. It will take a while since files move slowly off it. It holds a backup of all our photos and all our music and I travel with it. So at any time, I have a copy of all our photos and can pull up any song from our collection that I want. My old laptop had a 30 gig drive, so photos and music couldn't be on it. My new one has a much larger drive, but I'm just as glad that I keep my music off my computer. Less to lose should I get a virus.
