Re: Making Monday Work
I should be out the door in 10 minutes, but dh still isn't down here to get ready. He has an appointment this morning at 8:30 for a COPD study. Know he wants to ask the doctors there about the S piriva he's taking -if it has a connection to the problem he's having with his eyes. Not sure where to go from there -back to his eye Dr. (who prescribed glasses in early August or to his pulmonary dr.
Gotta run -at least am s2s, bed made, hair washed and dishes done. Good start on the day. I was going to move my golf cart so dh could charge it, but see he already did it. Never heard him do that and I was awake!

I'm awake.
L'shanah tovah - Happy New Year, Twins!
Ds has just left. He's working out at a rural hospital this morning. The IT project he's on is providing one IT patient administration software package for 5 small hospitals, three from the city and two from towns well outside the city. Today he's traveling 40 minutes west of the city but since we live 20 minutes south of the city, he's got a bit of a drive.
He'll be back next weekend. He's doing the Army run half-marathon with a group of friends and I invited them all out here for dinner the night before. I did that before I got sick and then just remembered last night. He didn't want to ask because he wasn't sure I could handle the group. I think I can if I plan my time well, so I've been reading up on what to serve the night before a marathon.
I'm going to take it really easy today if I can because tomorrow is a killer. This is a one-car issue - dh has a meeting in the city so he needs me to drop him at a friend's place at 8:30 and the friend will drive them the rest of the way. We'll have to leave our house at 7:45 since it is rush hour. I'll get to volunteering at least 30 minutes before it opens so I have 45 minutes of wasted 'up' time first thing in the morning (15 minutes extra for the drive because of rush hour and 30 minutes waiting for the office to open.)
Then, because I only volunteer for 2 hours so I don't exhaust myself, so I'll finish up at 11, but dh doesn't expect to be back until noon, so I have another hour to wait for him and then we have errands to run (too far away from where I need to pick him up so I can't do them) and then I'll need lunch. So I'll on my own right up to my 'up' limit, something I do not like to do since I go downhill so quickly once the fatigue hit.
If it is warm enough, I'll go somewhere and just lie down in the back of the car. But if it isn't warm enough, I'll have to wait at a coffee shop or something. I'll probably try and have lunch while waiting for him so I can get home earlier.

Gooood Morning to all!
I woke up an hour late this morning so am off schedule before my feet hit the floor.
Today is a busy day so following my normal day hourly schedule will be haphazard.
PODA -
** LO school delivery/pickup
** lawyer appt
** CIRCUS!! for the first time EVER, the circus is coming to our town. I guess with all the housing developments we have become big enough for them to do a performance here.
That will be a full day considering there will be over 3 hours of driving to make this happen. I will be going to town 3 times (lawyer, pick up older DGS's, take older DGS's home).
Better focus on the basic's
3 D's status -
** Dishes - need about 10 minute of focus to be in MM status
** Duds - almost caught up. Last load is in the dryer now.
** Dinner -
B: egg, bacon, sliced apples, yogurt, oatmeal )
L: Hot italian sausages, seasoned rice, squash, asparagus. Pineapple for dessert
S: Spaghetti. will find something @ circus for dessert

Re: Making Monday Work
I'm up for the 2nd time this morning. Up first at 4 with leg cramps and couldn't get back to sleep. So I surfed a bit until I got cold and went back to bed. Now up at 6:40 and have put up med/supplements for the week. Next up is S2S and breakfast.
I have to be at my seminar room by 8 for the first speaker. It will be our job (along with 8 others) to make sure the speakers stick to time and the room is set up properly before and after the speaker. We each have 6 - 8 seminars that we are responsible for in the next 4 days. Tomorrow I don't have one until 3.
Had a great time last night with Yakov Smirnov as our entertainment. First time I have been at entertainment on Sunday night in a long time. Sunday has been a long hard workday for us in the past and I've just gone to bed.
Time to move. See you later. I'm taking the Kindle with me and there is WIFI in all the rooms. So I might be on to read later. Especially if the speaker is boring.

It’s never too late to be what you might have been.

Re: Making Monday Work
Good morning! Wow, many of you are up and out and about early today.
I saw the girls off around 7:10, and then tried to lie down some more. It didn't really work. Once I'm up in the morning, I can't really go back to sleep. Plus, Pepper started barking at something outside so I had to go shush her before she woke up the entire neighborhood.
I got up again at 8 and am now s2sed, laundry gathered, lol going, dw unloaded - and I'm sipping tea and eating a banana. My tummy is still "off." Nothing severe. I still have a decent appetite; I just have mild queasiness and cramps from time to time.
Dfriend just called; her dd16 who slept over on Friday just found a couple lice in a comb today.
6x6
1. laundry - 2 or 3 loads
2. groc. store
3. progress on teaching
4. wash bedding dfriend 16 slept in; she may have slept in a sleeping bag, I'm not sure
5. check girls for lice
6. exercise
BTW, our small group has disbanded; I'm not sure I shared the results of our Saturday evening meeting. It is sad on one count. However, most of the remaining members do have other groups they belong to. One family got left in the dust, I feel. . . . .I'm hoping (and praying) they can find another small group. I must say, however, that the idea that half my Saturday evenings are now open is so novel - it feels downright decadent!!
I think we had 2 small groups on alternating Saturday evenings for about 2.5 years. A new phase in life has begun. . . .
