Wonderful Treasures Wednesday
Wonderful Treasures are coming to us this Wednesday, because surely we all are willing to make that needed effort - maybe a great miracle, too!

Re: Wonderful Treasures Wednesday
Wicked, Working, Wednesday is my focus of the day.
I pulled out an old Daytimer insert sheet and filled in activities for each of the hours. I'm in the exercise block now so can post too. I have another cuop time built into the day later but you may not see me much today. I'm hoping to be one of those white tornadoes.

Re: Wonderful Wednesday
Good morning!
* WARNING * Harriet's eyes (and a few others of you) will probably hurt if she reads the following paragraph... but y'all know I'm doing a LOT better about not ironing everything!
TA-DA:
I am happy to report that last night, EVEN after a LONG night @ dmil's, I FINALLY got dh's golf shorts all ironed. He had six pairs of shorts laying on the ironing board and they (or at least a few of them) had been there for probably at least six weeks... and I didn't want to pay the ironing lady to do shorts... but EVEN after coming in after 10:00 pm, I DID IT.
I also ironed a pair of khakis & a shirt for dh, and a linen jacket for myself.
AND put away a ton of my clothes which had been hanging on the ironing board to dry.
I put away check stubs & birthday cards which were laying on the end of the ironing board, too.
There is now NOTHING on my ironing board.
* whew *
Yesterday I also
* made progress on grading * Mt. Grademore, LOL...
* completed my Personal Development Plan for ass't principal, which involved listening to 3 extremely boring video/podcasts...
* got the oil changed in the SUV
* ordered and picked up pizza for party
* spent approx. 4 hours at dmil's
We had a nice time though. Dgs was quite happy most all the night, no "issues" w/dbil-dh, ddil said she has no more Fridays to work in November, and ds, ddil, dnephes, and dh spent a lot of time going through dfil's stuff (at dmil's request) and taking some things they wanted to keep for themselves. The guests of honor, ds & dsisil, seemed quite happy w/their celebration, also.
Today... yes... good to be at midweek.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Re: Wonderful Treasures Wednesday
Keep feeling better, Kathryn! Wow -a White Tornado. That's awesome!
I slept very lightly if at all last night. Now I'm ready to sleep. Just finished s2s and getting ready to go to the Dr. this morning -in an hour.
Pretty foggy and cool this morning. But tomorrow could be a record setter -79 is forecast. But watch out by next Wednesday.
DH and I are aiming to get out of here sometime Tuesday. Had originally planned on staying overnight Tuesday, winterizing Wed morning and then leaving. But the forecast all the way to Lancaster doesn't sound good at all for Wednesday. I'd rather travel in rain than snow any day -preferably just clouds. Water is to be turned off on Monday and dh is hoping they're able to get that all done by Monday night.
When I come back from the Dr. I really need to buckle down and start getting everything cleaned out. Can't start loading the car until dh takes a load of cans to the recycler -hoping that will be by tomorrow, but not holding my breath. Need to call DS-R because I know he has a big bag for dgs7's college fund.
Think my real focus today will be to clean out the refrigerator and put things in bags ready to take to DS-A's Sunday afternoon. There's a few things I'll keep for us, but not much. We have our Smorgasbord at church on Saturday and dinner at DS-A's on Sunday so that's 2 days taken care of. Supposed to go to dinner with friends some other night, but not sure when that can be. Sounds like Friday is the only possibility. Though she and I may go to lunch tomorrow.

Did my stretches, then had my shower, including shaving legs and deep conditioning hair. I'm s2s and having tea and chocolate now. I'm also 30 minutes behind on my schedule but that's to be expected because I didn't bring the schedule upstairs with me last night so forgot to stop exercising after only 30 minutes. On the other hand, I walked 2 miles today and am pleased about that.

Re: Wonderful Treasures Wednesday
I am back from the walk with ddogs. I'm slow getting going this morning even tho I've been up since 6:30ish. I'm having oatmeal with craisins and walnuts for "second breakfast" as i had munched on a boiled egg and handful of almonds when I first got up. Those were my snacks to take to work yesterday, when I left them at home.
Last night dh and I went to local Asian restaurant - terrible service but good food and had sushi.
This morning I wrote one of the two letters I need to write for temple biz - they were on my Monday li&t and I never got to them. Likewise, I haven't touched up that first coat of paint on the rockers, much less painted the second coat. Realistically, I've had two days at work of plenty of interesting work which required focus, some downtime on Monday nite and an evening with dh last night.
Today I'm getting my mammogram - same as OKay yesterday, and need to go by temple as it's in the same area.
PODA:
-get chairs painted through the second coat
-mammogram
-call for bath appt for Moe
-Bank
-groceries, including garbage bags for kitchen and paper towels
-call for appt for dmom
-write other temple letter, personalize and start printing?
-vote early?
-What else?
WTG on the walk Kathryn! You certainly sound like you're getting better.

Re: Wonderful Treasures Wednesday
Good Morning!
I've been having a wonderful Wednesday. I woke up full of energy at 4:30am and decided to not make myself lay in bed waiting for time to get up. Slowing getting back on schedule - although there are blessings each day that require adjusting my basic plan. This morning I took time out of the financial update time slot to read/sign LO IEP paperwork and txt'd with DD making plans to meet later in the week while making/serving breakfast for all. Later today I will take LO to his counseling appt.
Paperwork is stacked up horrible. Maybe as bad as it has ever been.
I have one 30 minute daily time slot devoted to financial/paperwork but obviously that isn't enough. I suspect it is going to take approx 2 hours daily to get/keep caught up. Hum......what do I give up in order to add 1.5 more hours each day to paperwork????

Next scheduled break time....
I appear to be back on schedule if I walk away from the computer now.
Thankfully, there wasn't much to cuop!
Bathroom cleaning next and then on to revamping my SHE system.

Re: Wonderful Treasures Wednesday
Woke this morning to the street sweeper. It is as bad as the garbage man. During the monsoon rains a month or so ago, a lot of sand was washed onto the streets from some of the lots. Plus there is a lot of coyote scat from them eating the beans from the mesquite trees. The result the streets needed sweeping.
Yesterday, I was able to bring all the decor items in from the MH and put where I want them. All except two stitchery items that need to be framed. I am very pleased with my purchases, the have fit in well and enhanced the beauty of our home.
Today we are going antiquing. I am still looking for a kitchen/dining table and now have added 2 frames to the mix. It will be a good thing to get out.
To be able to go out later today, I have to get a few things done.

- S2S, breakfast and meds
Dishes and kitchen
Try on all jeans and pants in closet and only keep the ones that fit
Go thru DH's shirts for GW items
Vacuum carpets
Sweep/wash vinyl floors

I've painted the rocking chair areas I missed on Sunday - on the inside of the some spindles - and cleaned up my hands and arms. Need to change and head out to the mammogram appt soon.
I also took out the recycling - had forgotten to take out earlier. I'm glad it doesn't run too early, as it's every two weeks.
