I woke up when the 6am alarm went off -don't need it this week! But, then I started sneezing so I was awake anyway. We've been up for about 2 hours. I spent well over an hour trying to order fireplaces for 2 DS in NY and Ddils. Finally got them ordered but ended up having them both go to DS-A's house. He'll just have to get DS-R's and ddil's to them.
DD is up cooking. She didn't think we were here, but I didn't want to disturb her -it's the first time she's been able to 'sleep in' in over 3 months.
Praying this next 2 weeks goes fairly well with gd. It could be a LONG 2 weeks.
Got info that our annual FL get-together of "Pond People" is happening on January 17th in Sarasota. We're riding down with our old neighbors from there. They're about 10 miles from us here. Have to arrange with dd first what she'll do about gd getting picked up from school that day first.
Dsonil goes to the neurosurgeon on the 8th and I'm so hoping that he'll be able to help dsonil. Maybe then he can start the disability process. His own dr (I'm thinking because she was proved wrong in her (mis)diagnosis after he had an MRI) refused to make out the papers for him. So he's had weeks with no income. Think the pinch will really be felt now as dd paid his COBRA yesterday (almost $600/month). She tried to put him on her insurance but it won't honor a "pre-existing" condition.
I'm very grateful to see the gas prices down some -especially since I'm driving 60-100 miles a day. Figured out yesterday it's $16.00 a tankful, less than it was when we left NY. It will seem good not to drive quite so much the next couple of weeks. I don't get much done here, since I'm seemingly on the road all the time.
If someone else posts before I get this up -no problem- I'll simply cut/paste. Have a good day, everyone!
