Elizabeth - Thank you for opening today's thread. Hope your day goes smoothly.

I am off to a good start. I am REALLY enjoying the benefits and ease of following Tiny Habits for the first 30 minutes of my day. I hope to make more Tiny Habits for other times, but haven't got those set up.....yet.

Today has 3 scheduled appts along with 15 time sensitive cards due today.

Mr 4 year old thinks today is a BIG DEAL because it is his snack day. Not only did he get to pick out snacks and drinks to take to school for everyone in his class, but he gets to pass them out....and collect the trash afterwards. This is a BIG deal in the mind of a 4 year old. I am 99.9% sure that it will be the first thing that he ask when i wake him up this morning......is today my snack day?

Elizabeth - thank you for starting - it was 4.43pm here - too late for me to do maths right now.

I woke at 6 so took tmeds then and aimed for 7.46 train. It gave me time to look at a few things in the city before I met dd and family. I'm not sure that looking at the city hall exhibit was the most interesting thing for the kids. Though a piece of early mains water pipe made of wood, tied together with wire, and once coated with pitch was a "different" way of solving a problem. interesting. I admit - I really wasn't in the mood for prowling looking at things, and it was all too crowded. - though dd ran into some old friends back in the city for a day from scotland. kids and parents had been great mates.

She was right too - much more rain here than there.

I've lost my routines today. tonight.
I need go get ready for bed. dishes to wash first.

Good morning, villagers ~

I was able to do most of the errands yesterday in The Big City, and had a fun supper with DH and his old college buddy. It rained all day, though, which slowed driving time enough that I ran out of time for stopping at WM. Unfortunately, the items on that list are things that I haven't been able to find anywhere else for several weeks, so I'll have to make a WM run this afternoon.

Other than that, today's the day to try to catch up on desk stuff. Oh carp, I forgot to check at the library for a tax booklet. I'll have to try that again when I go out. I know I can get the info online, but it will be so much faster if I can just pick up the instruction booklet.

Oh, here's a goodie from yesterday. Earlier this month I realized that I had missed paying the power company before the bill was due, so I sent a check with the late fee included. Apparently since I rarely send late, they are able to forgive the late fee sometimes. Received a new invoice yesterday that included a credit for overpayment. The funny thing is the way they adjusted it, they show that they received my check 5 days before I wrote it!

Okay ~ Too cute about snack day! He's a little sweetheart.

Good morning!

I haven't posted in several days but have managed to read all posts.

Today I need to buy groceries and take the clothes that I am donating to the churches annual day of service project. Everything is free, clothes, haircuts, med checks, etc. It seems to grow every year. There is a massive amount of clothing, purses, shoes, etc. that is donated each year. Any leftovers are then donated to the Bible Bowls annual garage sale. It is in early June. I already have started accumulating items for it.

Today dhs dsis finds out if the chemo worked on her lymphoma. She has had a pet scan and a CT scan. I am praying that the chemo took care of her cancer. This is her second bout of a cancer.

Dh started his Chantix on Tuesday. So far no nightmares or wonderful dreams that he can remember.

Guess I better do meds, eat breakfast, shower, and and and.........

Hi everybody!

Woke up numerous times during the night to hear freezing rain hitting the bedroom windows. Most of the school buses in the Toronto area aren't running. Icy road conditions. The power companies have had a busy night with ice on the lines and downed tree limbs. (Dh has to go to Toronto at noon so I listened to the weather, traffic and news before I got out of bed.) It's 1 C here now and Monday they are expecting it to be 18 C. I'll be back at work on Monday, so 18 C will be nice.

/rant ahead/

Yesterday was my day for mammo, ultra sound of thyroid, and CT of belly. The contrast stuff for the CT made me ishy all day. The day started off wrong with me not being able to eat and my BS being under 100. So I was shaky going to the hospital. There they gave me some yucky stuff to drink that helped the sugar but left a taste in my mouth all day.

Today I feel better. DH has a Dr. appointment so we will be on the road around noon. At least it is here in town.

Did I tell you all that DS is flying DH and I to Illinois in May? Then we will take the train to see both DD in MI and IL and then back here around the 20th. I've been setting up train and motel reservations. We won't be traveling back to the mid-west this year so this is their way of seeing us.

Time to fill out paperwork for DH's Dr. visit. TTFN

Yes it is a Fantastic Fri. here I slept in. Taxes are done and we are getting a nice refund h.'s stress is off now. Yea!
Granny duty before ten nine thirty or so today and after school possibly. Did not have late shift yesterday with dgd after all so that worked out. We went to the mall with dgd and dgson dd met us there to pick them up. While waiting for our turn at tax prep. they had table & chairs out in the mall hall so I sat there with dgkids and we did sticker books we brought that worked well.
Then had dinner to go after wards I had to do chicken chores.
Watched Idol my picks are still in so I was happy America got it right this time I think.
