WUNNERFUL WEDNESDAY

Post by DeeClutter »

I've been awake for hours. It hailed about 3.

Dh is so exhausted. He can hardly wait for this surgery. Says his only anxiety is that they'll decide to cancel it again. That happened a year ago. But the cardiologist says there's no question now.

DD wants to Skype with us tonight -before dh goes in. She went to an end of school year banquet at gd's residence last night. She tried manipulating dd into buying her a new dress (she already had 2 new ones) & dd said "no". However, her old therapist went to visit her & somehow she convinced her she needed a dress. Said gd was herself -very self centered. Also had a short visit from the sheriff case worker yesterday who told them that usually there's a 'honeymoon period' when they get new girls. GD gave them all of a half day! They all know who she is. DD told him that the things he described were what they were dealing with on a daily basis. "Wow!" She kept telling him during all the interviews. When dd left last night gd wanted to walk out with her -not allowed and dd told her no. GD told her that she may think she's coming to take her home for a week (June 7th I think), but "I'm not coming back here. Not going to a place I hate". I'm sure she'll be going. :? Believe me these behaviors were never learned at home. DD is certainly in no way like anything this girl has exhibited.

I should get dressed & do something, but now I'm sleepy. Been awake pretty much since about 2:20. Way too early!

Dh and I just finished breakfast. He's usually long gone by now. He's waiting for the rain to ease up.

I've been working on the MH for the last 2 days. It is very hot here so I rest a lot and drink a lot of water.

Today starts our last 3 days of Dr. visits and tests. 2 Dr. today - one for DH and one for me. Tomorrow is the colonoscopy and Friday is last one for me,

We are hoping to get out of here by next Wednesday - but we are flexible. I have over a week of slop built into the travel plans. (Slop= days I have scheduled to stay in a park but we can move down the road if we have to.)

Time to hit the shower and get ready for my Dr. appointment.

Good Morning!

I slept in this morning. Adding in the MPB evening chores is sliding my bedtime to a later time slot. Still haven't created a summer schedule, but the sleeping hours are sorting themselves out on their own.

Yesterday I scheduled 16 summer activities for LO. That brings his "places to be" up to 48 for the summer. Plus, he will have play dates with 2 of his best friends. I think that will be about right for a 4 year old. Not tooo busy, but still interacting with others on a regular basis. I want him to relax and enjoy the summer.

Focusing on the basics -
  • Dishes - some drying, some soaking
  • Duds - washer/dryer going. One load folded and ready to be put away
  • Dinner - planned & prep'd(goulash, green salad, cake, fruit, whipped cream
  • Dollars - in progress

Hope all goes well at Dr. appointments, MT.

I'm just now getting moving -for real. I was just too sleepy -after being awake from probably 2:30 - 0 dark thirty. I do need to get a load of laundry done as I don't know when I'll get a chance later on. Know dh will be in the hospital 5-6 days and then to rehab. Not sure if he'll do rehab at a center (daily) or is going somewhere to stay first. Either way, I have decided that I know, that I know, that I know -I have to get exercising too.

I have dh's meds list/doctors all printed out. But, it just dawned on me I should probably add his pulmonologist. So guess I'll do them over. Sure he'll need at least 3 by the time we get done over the next couple of days. Guess I'll do that first and THEN get on with my day.

Prayers for your family Dee. For you and DH and his upcoming surgery.
For DD and DSil and GD ... For whatever is best for all concerned. It is a difficult situation..

Prayers for all going well for the Harmonies.

I'm up later than I ort to be. bed is calling.
I have horrible sore throat and runny nose.
Not the most successful day in terms of getting things done,
Yoga today and I didn't try with some poses - achy shoulders and hips.

Good day all. hugs
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

I was really sleepy too, Dee. Lights were out at 11, woke up at 5:40, went back to sleep and woke at 7. Checked for email from dh - none. Went back to sleep and woke at 8. Got out of bed then.

OKay, yet dh has the same phone as you. I was confused too but just looked on my android phone (a Google Nexus 1) and my phone only came with google talk. Still, both of us have google accounts so it should have been easy enough to quickly set up.

I'm working on the exegesis for the sermon. In the quiet of the morning, some ideas are slowly forming. Unfortunately, they are pretty 'out there' and I'm not confident I can effectively pull this off.

I've walked the ddogs and had breakfast, but otherwise have been lollygagging. DD has dr appointment today at noon.

-call to reschedule hair appts
-call dentist re: tooth sensitivity and prescription toothpaste
-call to see if I can reschedule dmom's podiatrist appt in June (just got word of conflict - workplace is doing a day of CPE and I'd like to attend...)
-meds/vitamins
-make the bed

I worked for awhile last night on temple biz - frustrated that we still can't announce the speaker for an August 2 event because it's not finalized. I think we get better attendance if we can announce events early and make a big deal. Also found out last night that a committee has scheduled an event for June 9 and it's being announced for the first time in the bulletin that goes out later this week....Sigh. Why can't people do their jobs?

I found my glucometer!! I have two identical backpacks - only one of which I took on the trip. Somehow, when I put them back in the closet, I buried the one I took with me. This morning, when looking for something else, I found it and realized (by the tag on the handle) that I hadn't looked in that one. Lo and behold!! Glucometer and 3 pair of earrings I thought I had lost. Such relief.

My new phone will be here on Thursday (that's tomorrow, I think)
