Re: Success on Tuesday
I got myself to gp / doc today. He listened and looked, and felt the hurt bits.
Pronounced tendonitis in my elbow. Ordered ultrasound of my shoulder to look for other damage . And fasting blood tests for general check of things.
Ultrasound appointment is friday.
ran into yoga class member in shopping center - no msg had gotten to the class re my injury. last class I'd been annoyed with spin class noise so they wondered had I just disappeared. Hoping to get there tomorrow. I'm aiming to cook breaky to take with me to eat between pathology and yoga . I now have her ph number so I can ring for a lift at times. Tomorrow I will start on the bus as It will be much earlier start.
Counting that a success - a doctor who cares to do his job, and encourages me to do what seems right with my arm - inc at yoga. He was not at all impressed with what it does atm.
dishes are washed. At least I keep up with that.
Picked up stray leaves that dog brings inside.

Re: Success on Tuesday
Managed to pull myself out of bed before 7am. I am trying for an 'early' up time for me. Nurse is supposed to be here -early this morning I think.
I've picked up through and practically made the bed from scratch (not quite) -it just gets so messy overnight and pretty well slips off the bed.
Dh just went out for a very short walk down to the dumpsters, with a shopping bag sized bunch of trash. He's quite short of breath this morning so will not try anything stupendous. Dr took him off his day & evening med and put him back on Lasix once a day. So we'll see how that does. HIs heart beat had slowed too much and it's thought that was contributing to his extreme fatigue. We'll get it straightened eventually.
This RV so needs a deep cleaning -just not sure when I'm going to get to it. DD leaves a week from Saturday and then we start watching dgs8, plus keep up with dh's appointments. Gd15 arrives here (at dd's) Friday afternoon. So hoping that week goes well. Concerned for dd and her own well-being.

Re: Success on Tuesday
Happy for you, too, Lynlee. Yes, successful. I guess you mean dr is not impressed at all with how much the arm does? Nice that now someone who also attends the yoga place might help with traveling.
Dee, I hope the week is happy and calm.
helia, have an enjoyable first day of the camping trip. Sate and fun, I hope.
Emptynester, have an enjoyable second first day of your trip, too! A better foot (wheel) forward.
There's a dreaded phone call, or dreaded something - friend of dd's and her family keeps asking if the 2 girls can have a sleep-over and dd really doesn't want to travel that far away from home, doesn't look forward to the visit. None of us really feels it's wise to have her here, either, with dd33's entire family arriving Friday and part of that a bday party. We've put them off several times. Don't know how it will go.
I awakened with some pain that mimics sciatic (piraformis muscle) but starts high in the hip. Drinking water like crazy. Hope it doesn't change my day.
I really need to be ready for the weekend.

Oh, I hope that pain goes away, Harriet.
Nurse is here right now and she & dh are out for a short walk.
Unfortunately it isn't looking that way, Harriet. When I can compose my thoughts enough will post in J&C (not dh this time). Week will need lots of prayer I'm thinking -especially after Friday.Dee, I hope the week is happy and calm.

Re: Success on Tuesday
I've been doing the bike ride and treadmill walking every second day in an attempt to build my knees back up after lying around for most of June and July. It is so frustrating for me since I had just got them 'back' after the hepatitis. On the plus side, I knew the signs of trouble and have the exercise tools to get back to pain free movement, it is just a matter of finding the hour a day it takes when I don't have a full day in which to schedule things (I'm still sleeping at least 9 hours a day, sometimes 11) and when I don't have any motivation (either for this or paperwork and both are in crisis.)
Got up at 8:30 this morning and dealt with an email. For the housing board I was being asked last night to approve a proposal I had not seen. With Gmail all my mail (spam, deleted, etc.) is kept in "All Mail" so I searched that in case I had accidentally deleted the email chain that everyone else seemed to know about. Couldn't find it so asked to be brought up to date. Sure enough, the whole chain was missing for me because the first email sent out had a typo in my email address and everyone else just hit reply so all replies went to the wrong address as well. Glad that is cleared up and pleased to see our negotiations have got us an extra sum of money and a better fence (we are renting a portion of the property for a cell phone tower.)
Fortunately, for me this isn't as contentious as the wall Twin's is dealing with.

Re: Success on Tuesday
Good morning, villagers ~
One more day to get ready for my trip. DH will take me to the airport tomorrow morning before he goes to work. I tried to time my flight so he can get to work at his regular time. I haven't calculated yet how early we need to leave the house, but I know I will not have time to do anything but get dressed, throw last-minute items into my purse, grab the bags and try to find the car in the dark.
Yesterday I worked on decisions and gathering together all the personal items I need to pack for 6 days. Figured out an outfit for each day. Folded and taped newsletters last night.
Today I need to:
* Label and stamp sewing newsletters.
* Write checks to pay bills.
* Take stuff to post office and let the postmaster know how long I'll be away, since there will be more mail than will fit in our po box. (DH will be home but he doesn't bother to pick up the mail.)
* Last 3 loads of laundry - bath towels, kitchen towels, and clothes including the slacks I want to wear on the plane.
* Final check to make sure I've packed all tools and supplies needed for classes.
* General paperwork for sewing group.
* Print out paperwork for the trip.
* Charge netbook, run updates, transfer files.
* Try on all outfits to make sure they look ok.
* Clean out purse.
* Pack. Pack. Pack.
I'm sure there's more to do, but I'm getting overwhelmed so must start moving.
... Oops, forgot to send this. ...
I had put the 1st load of clothes in the washer before turning on the computer, so it is now in the dryer and 2nd load is washing.

Re: Success on Tuesday
Very slow start here this morning. Very stuffy nose and general head cold happening. I'm also debating about changing over my week's plans.
Was originally going to see dsis on Thursday and need to see dmom today. I changed going to see dsis to tomorrow (Wednesday) because I have a temple activity on Thurs p.m. Now I'm wondering if I should go see her at all considering I have a cold - a not real bad cold but probably contagious anyway. So then it hit me that maybe I shouldn't see dmom until I feel better. (Am I just looking for an excuse to blow off things I should be doing?) OTOH, I have a busy, busy weekend and should probably rest a bit: temple dinner with out of town speaker Thursday p.m., wedding on Friday p.m. Saturday have torah study/a.m. services/dog PT/speaker back at temple in evening, then Sunday I think I go back to camp to pick up dd and bring her home, which is 5-6 hours of driving.
I need to get started w a.m. routine.
-reboot laundry (have load in washer from last night)
-meds/vitamins, me + ddogs
-walk ddogs
-clear/wipe kitchen counters
-clear kitchen table

Re: Success on Tuesday
Twins'Mom ~ From experience I will ask you to not take your cold to your DMom or DSis. My own DMom recently fought with pneumonia caught from oldest DSis because someone brought a virus into DSis's group home and everyone there caught it. Luckily DSis did not have to be hospitalized but others in the home were. DMom only escaped having to be admitted to the hospital because the ER doctor prescribed a really strong antibiotic that she was allowed to take at home rather than by IV. DMom is generally very healthy for her age but it was a nasty virus, she'll be 85 soon and cannot shake things off as easily any more.
You will also get through the cold faster if you get some rest. You don't want to risk having to miss either the temple speaker or the wedding because of a stupid summer cold! Tell DMom and DSis that you are much too germy to visit this week and you will see them when you are not contageous. The place where your DSis lives will be grateful that you don't want to expose everyone there.
CI:
Evaluated "must goes" in the refrigerator so I'd know what I have to eat up today. First up 2 eggs which I scrambled and had with buttered toast for breakfast. There is fruit for snacks. I can have a lettuce salad with turkey & cheese for lunch, and put the rest of the cheese in the freezer.
(One of the things I took to DMom's picnic was cheese & crackers. DSis had also brought cheese for the sandwiches, so lots of cheese left over. Good thing it freezes well.)
Dishes are soaking.
Will update and print my packing checklist before I finish processing the newsletters to mail.
Re-thinking the slacks for the plane. They look nice but have no pockets and are not as comfortable as my jeans. Unfortunately, the only jeans I have that fit are relaxed fit style and I'm afraid they'll look sloppy. Hmm ... will try both on later after I make sure whether or not other outfits work.

Re: Success on Tuesday
morning y'all...
I was up early, early this morning so decided to put the time to good use. Took Willis for an early morning walk. We both enjoyed that. Have finish my morning routine with the exception of eating. Not sure what I want so am doing other things till my tummy lets me know. I have desk work to attack, both with emails and general cleaning up of the area.
Will be doing some home blessings as well. Still don't have a vacuum yet, but it should be here today or tomorrow. I also have a sleep study consultation for later this afternoon. My PA wants an updated sleep study done and I am glad to be doing it. Yesterday I went to the dentist for a general cleaning, but it was determined I needed some deep cleaning done so set up an appointment for another day.
Most of my friends are getting ready to return to school on Thur. I am glad NOT to be one of them. Students start school on Aug. 8th... I will be subbing again this year and need to reorder some business cards that I hand out to teachers.
I have an oversized king bed in my master bedroom and haven't been able to find a covering that I am in love with because of cost. I could have one made, but it would set me back $400-500 and I am not willing to do it. Plus I wanted a print in aqua which is difficult to find. Yesterday i came across a bedding at our Biglots that I really liked. Bought 2 kingsize beddings and now need to figure out how to turn them into one. I have a sewing machine, but its been years since I've tackle something like this. I have a great friend that is a magician with a machine, plus she's been a math teacher for 32 years....something that is important when considering how to do this. We're always looking for things to do together since we retired., and it looks like this might be our next project.
Happy for you Lynnlee
Hope you feel better Twins. I'm with Bookie...stay home and rest
Harriet...you seem to be finding your life rhythms again.
Dee...hugs and prayers for the following days.
Elizabeth...sounds like your water park turned out to be more fun than the other...plus you didn't have to pay for it.
Waving to y'all. I need to go take my meds before I forget.
cya later...........
