Today I'm going to go a little out of my comfort zone.
One of my sewing group members has given an open invitation that she has reserved a community room in her neighborhood for anyone who wants to come sew for the day. The sewing group has about 75 members, and this is one of the ladies that I know who she is but haven't talked with her much. The address in her neighborhood is a part of The Big City that I don't know at all.
However, I have a bin full of UnFinished Objects from a recent day camp and my classes last week. I don't have space at home right now to set up the machine and leave it up. Projects languishing in a box are just more clutter, and I already have enough of that.
So ... I'll try not to get lost driving to a new place to spend some hours with someone I don't really know, and also don't know who else will be there.
Do you have to do something outside of your comfort zone today?

Re: Tuesday Out of the Comfort Zone
Bookie, let's just say that I'm back into my comfort zone today and feeling human again. After getting script yesterday I slept/read until close to bedtime - was nauseated also. We then had a huge storm come through and I ended up on a pillow pallet beside dMacs for awhile to help settle him. Finally got to sleep around 11 when tummy was settled enough for crackers and advil (I think I still had a low grade fever going.) Then, like magic, woke up with ddogs at 4:30 this morning feeling human again. I had a bagel and took meds again then, and slept until 8 a.m.
I have a lot to do today....dr appt w dmom and then temple exec committee meeting. I was going to try to put together a quick meeting with dkids and dmom so she could see them before they go back to school but I may not even try for that.
Right now....
-make coffee
-call dmom to be sure she remembers appt today
-do a quick refrigerator purge and get the trash out
-read the paper
-start a lol

Re: Tuesday Out of the Comfort Zone
I hope you enjoy sewing with the new friend and others today, Bookie. What a great title for today!
I'm glad you feel better and are more comfortable, Twins. We got a lot of rain last night too, but I think most of it was before 10 pm.
That was interesting to read about the average person having 30-100 projects going on at one time and to read the definition of a project. I still think that sounds like a lot. I'm not sure I ever have 30 projects going on at the same time, but I think of projects as working toward a larger goal than the author maybe meant.
I'm not sure how/when I'll be out of my comfort zone today. i was yesterday when dfriend and I were in charge of the fittings.
I have. .
- taken dd15 to the school to board buses to head up north to band camp
- gone for a jog. The park where we often jog is right across the street from the high school. There's a paved path that pretty much runs along the river.
- taken a phone call from dfriend S2. She is going to come over tonight to bleach her hair with dfriend J, who is arriving early this evening.
[If you're interested, dfriend J's dh is the one who tutored me in Hebrew and then shuttled me into the Univ. classes here that his advisor teaches. He's now a prof. at a small Univ. in NY state. J still works for the big U here as a graphic designer even though she lives out of state. She comes by from time to time for work meetings and to visit friends, like S2 and me.
She and her dh went to our church; she went to the moms group, which is where I originally met her. Eventually, her family became part of our small group as well.]
I am drinking tea and working on a weekly list.
Today, I must:
- finish menu plan and go to the groc. store
- haircut at noon; I'll need to leave at 11:30 or earlier. I will not be home much before 2.
- finish prepping a room for dfriend J.
- dinner - I haven't finalized the menu for tonight but possibly peanut chicken, with enough for leftovers for another meal. Dh is not happy to miss that meal. (He will be out tonight.)
- dfriend S2 will be here tonight too.

Re: Tuesday Out of the Comfort Zone
Today is moving day. We have 148 miles to go to a park on Lake Oahe just south of Bismarck, ND. I'm not sure how long we will be there as we don't know what the park looks like yet.
The trailer ooze is in full force here so I must tame that before we travel. Our holding tanks are also full so I need to wash dishes over at the bath house in the deep sink.
Next up is breakfast and meds and then I'll see what strikes my eye as most important.

Re: Tuesday Out of the Comfort Zone
Well here it is nearly 10am and I'm not s2s!!
Ended up having to put up my meds before I could even take any. Behind here!
Had a very rough night. Dh really wasn't feeling well yesterday, last evening (think I'd said yesterday that he started to pass out at cardiac rehab yesterday). Then last night I heard him rummaging in our room -looking for his nitro spray. He only has 3 bottles here. I of course, got up and started looking, tearing the RV apart. He hasn't used any since last November and I figured they were in his jackets. Dr. last week took him off 1 omeprazole capsule (morning's) a day to see if that would make a difference in his stomach bloating. He was on 2 a day because gastro dr determined last year that he needed 2 for his Barrett's esophagus and resulting attacks. Well dh had one last night. Can tell the difference between that& a heart attack now. I finally did find one (in plain sight) and that made the difference. But I was up and upset because he's been feeling so poorly. He's so out of breath that (for instance) last night he couldn't climb our 3 steps into our RV and just stood there for a few minutes. Saying, (mostly to himself) "something's just not right".
I did sleep some during the night with 1 ear to dh in the recliner. Laid on the couch for a while but it's very uncomfortable.
Ordered a wedge pillow for dh yesterday -should be here tomorrow. Hoping he'll be able to sleep in bed with that. I know ours helped me years ago -both after heart surgery and my shoulder surgery. Do remember it being a long time before I was able to sleep in bed for either one.
Ok off to s2s and check on dgs8.
Have to go to the funeral home this afternoon. A friend of many years and our neighbor here passed away on Saturday. If there ever was a twin to Walter Matthau -he was it!

Re: Tuesday Out of the Comfort Zone
Ready to go again...
-light breakfast and meds/vitamins (look for probiotic also)
-DPC
-Try again to call dmom, left a message before
-clear breakfast bar area
-walk the dogs
Visitation for the dcousin who passed away is this evening and funeral is tomorrow. I might try to get to visitation after the temple meeting as I'd like to see family. In a way I hate to plan for funeral in the middle of the day tomorrow as the day is other wise wide open.

Re: Tuesday Out of the Comfort Zone
I'd give anything to hang out at home today but it's not in the cards. In fact, I need to be out in a little more than an hour.
-make the bed
-s2s
-finish w kitchen clean up from dinner party, wash up wineglasses and other delicates and wipe counters
-straighten up MBR and bath
-reboot laundry
I think this will finish a.m. routine at least.

Re: Tuesday Out of the Comfort Zone
Good morning!
Made a trip to funeral home yesterday with Dh. Very sad situation.
Today, I have finished caulking around the fireplace, which took me completely out of my comfort zone and qualifies as finishing up a project! I finally got tired of waiting for Dh to do it. Turns out I was perfectly capable of doing this. YAY ME!!
I also rearranged the items on the mantel and hung a different picture above it. Change is good!
Now I need to unload dw and fold clothes.
Happy Tuesday to everyone.

Re: Tuesday Out of the Comfort Zone
(((ellyphant)))) So sorry for the sad situation. BWTG on accomplishment!
I followed my hourly schedule this morning which put me back into the house by 7am and out again at 7:45 to take LO to school (practice run). He did MUCH better today. After we finished at school, we met up with DH at MPB. Yesterday, DH and I decided to switch roles in a few of the daily MPB chores. Since it is a Mom & Pop operation, there are only the two of us to do all the chores so it is good to switch so one of us takes a break from doing it daily and the other one become familiar with doing it again. I hadn't done this 30 minute chore in months, so I was happy that I remembered each step without having to refer to my detailed notes. Home again by 9:30. I am hoping when we get the kinks worked out and timing tweaked that I can be home by 8:30. That would give me 30 minutes to clean the house to MM standards. It is going to be a tight fit to get all of this done in a timely manner, but I like a good challenge.
I'm waiting for the instant pot to seal then I will feel comfortable leaving it unattended. n the next 30 minutes, we are going to visit a local resort for consideration of using this weekend (DSon and family will be here). Also will drop off a thank you card that LO made for DAunt.

Re: Tuesday Out of the Comfort Zone
Waving and good morning to all!
Chicken chores
s2s
QT & journaling & prayer walk
breakfast
ex.
watering
take trash to the curb
all done to here yippie!
Next up unload dishwasher.
Start the last of the laundry & some hand wash.
I have two letters to write - snail mail.
Chicken news saw a mouse swimming in the chickens water they had it for breakfast.
Had a serious lack of mojo last night could be the heat or the yd. work I did earlier in the day.
