Hey how are you doing on this time change Sunday? I have set the clocks all back in the main part of the house. H. Can do the bedroom ones when he gets up.
I turned on the pc so it could do the update on the time but was so slow I gave up and decided to post w the tablet. I am waiting for full day light to feed the hens.

Bs was okay today.
I love the new lamp we got for the living room they only had one I would have liked a pr. Of them. Both places we checked only had one diff. Kinds sigh oh well.

I enjoyed reading Harriet's travels to the rein. Fair.
I slept well coughing is less today yea!

Good Morning Nancy!

I posted a start for today too, but went back and deleted it.

I am enjoying a change to normal AM routine. I like how much I am able to accomplish in a timely manner, but I also enjoy a switch-up so I can stay appreciative of having the cards scheduled.

LO started running fever last night along with a sore throat. I got up twice during the night to give him meds to bring his fever down. He is coughing and sniffling this morning but doesn't want to miss church. He was sad to hear that we are staying home to give his body time to get better and keeping his germs away from others. DH will do MPB AM chores and attend church without us.

AH!! The joy of living in AZ. We don't have to change the clocks. But, however, when you are gypsies like us we travel over the time lines all over the country and have to change then. We were in 3 different time zones this summer - kept some of the clocks on AZ time (on MH dash and in pickup) as they were too hard to change. Our phones changed automatically, but we had to change computers and wall clocks.

Had a great Welcome Back campfire last night complete with music and a pot luck. Mostly hot dogs (furnished) and finger food. It was great to get caught up with everyone's travels.

Time to head up the hill for church. I feel guilty that I skipped out on the rummage sale there yesterday, but my back is just not up to it.

I am enjoying the time change. Love that extra hour! In fact, although I woke up several times throughout the night, I dozed this morning until it was fully light. That's late for me, so I'm going to try to NOT take a nap today.

I'm hoping that DH will want to go to Sam's with me this afternoon. He's sort of looking for a new computer since his is even older than mine, so that might be enough temptation. It isn't that I mind going to Sam's by myself, it's just that when he's down in his mancave watching tv all day, I don't get to see him. When we're in the car together, we usually listen to a podcast and then chat about it.

Need to finish my list for Sam's. I know I need chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk to make fudge for the library fund raiser next weekend. I've done some price checking at a few stores for laundry detergent, will see if Sam's can beat the others.

Pasta salad made and put into portion size containers. We have been staying away from such high carb pasta dishes, but the pantry is stocked with them and it sounded good. HOpefully the portion control size will help limit the damage.

Bathrooms cleaned. Not because I should clean them but because I just wanted to do it. hum....maybe I'm getting sick? ha!

LO is snuggled underneath a quilt watching cartoons. Kinda strange to see him still and being quiet.

Good Morning! We turned our clocks back in the afternoon, slept in until 8 a.m. and got going.

I've done this so far:
-s2s, dressed, hair, make-up
-Scar-Away on mole removal scar
-Read a meditation for the day
-Ate, took meds, supplements

Need to:
-print map for DD from DD's place to DSon's place X = Done!
-Write DD a letter, fix mailer for her to go out tomorrow X = Done!
-Write a pen pal letter, but have 2 I owe X = Done (1 pal though)
-Also, wrote down 4 addresses of prospective pen pals, from a FB. (Got sick; didn't do)
-Would like to continue to read (NOT done)
-Would love to write on a story by hand (NOT done)
-Need to do yoga/stretching & my walk X = DONE - but not walk)
-Laundry & MT the DW = X Done, but not DW

I'll get done what I can. I don't want to "push" things today because of queasy tummy.

OKay, sorry to hear LO is under the weather and hope you stay healthy, too. If not, get lots of rest while LO does and Get Well Soon.

Nancy, How are you feeling today? I'm glad your coughing is less today.

I am better today I have raked leaves and done a walk.
Time to get the lunch in the oven next. I am trying to get CEO's holiday info.read and up to speed with that.


Just found out I will only have the baby N on Mon. And Fri. That is a relief got the schedule worked out so I can do car pool too if I need to. Fixed our own breakfast tended the hens h. Made the bed and we had a bit of showers, the sun is trying to make an appearance.

ds came over to get me to sew two new fire dept patches onto jackets. He brought my green-eyed boy, who played around watching tv here until I finished. Ds may need me to try to help him tomorrow, too. That may be tough, since I have my dental cleaning tomorrow.

I'm extremely sleepy today and my eyes are begging for a nap, even though I got enough sack time last night. Just the residual from walking through several centuries worth of venues yesterday, I suppose.

HRH made vegetarian lunch for us today.

Darks washing is spinning now, getting ready for the coming week.

Happy return to God’s time, as dh would say. He despises daylight savings time, so was very glad to get his hour back! However, he has a terrible pain in one side, feels like it’s in his ribs or lung on that side, and he has really been complaining with it lately, and did not sleep well at all. It started a week ago, went away, and then returned a day or so ago. He will have to get worse before he will see a doctor, though, so right now he is just living with it.

We are sorta in the quiet before the storm – dgs will be here soon and will be spending the night with us, LOL. I’m just kidding, you know. We’re looking forward to having him. DS is out of town and ddil has to work tonight.

So glad you were able to start us off and are feeling better today, Nancy!

I also loved reading about the Renaissance Fair, Harriet! Especially the ladies wardrobes! You have such a wonderful way of putting things.

So sorry to hear LO has caught the village bug. (((LO)))

I guess in AZ, y’all are just glad the rest of the world is back on the “right” time, too, MT.

I think dh is going to go to a music thing w/ds tomorrow, and since we can’t really have dinner & a movie w/dgs along, we’ll be doing our groceries tonight. DGS will be okay to ride around in the cart with us and watch the people, I think. We’ll have to take him over to dmil’s and get her list for the week too… that’s the exhausting part! He is always into EVERYTHING over there. (Same way at my dmom’s, too.) Here, when I get tired of chasing, I can put him in the playpen.

Speaking of dinner & a movie -- we saw Last Vegas last night. It is really good -- a great comedy -- but it almost made me CRY. Those four guys, having been friends for 60 years, reminded me sooo, sooo much of ddad and his buddies that I could hardly talk about it afterwards. Remember, my dad took a boat trip down the TN/Tombigbee waterway to the Gulf of Mexico w/2 of his high school buddies a some years ago, and several of his pallbearers were guys he had been friends with since high school. Also, the Michael Douglas character, as I told dh, reminded me sooo much of ddad -- not necessarily in looks, but he is the one that looks the youngest -- the one who is trying sooo hard to stay young forever, and can't believe he is in this "70 year old body" as he says at one point, b/c "we were 17 just yesterday." THAT'S my dad.
So it was sorta bittersweet for ME, but it was very funny and with those four actors (Douglas, Kevin Kline, Robert DeNiro, and Morgan Freeman) it's got something for everyone. People were laughing out loud all through the theater all the way through.

OH -- and today's sermon was soooo appropriate for me. Wish dmom could have heard it. We celebrate All Saints Day in our church, lighting candles for all church members who have passed away during the year, and then during Communion, we were given smaller candles if we wished to light for any loved one we had lost, so of course I lit one for ddad... and our pastor spoke on the stages of grief and how there is NO TIMETABLE FOR GRIEF... and people do not go from stage 1 to stage 2 to 3, etc. in a neat progression; it is a back and forth, up and down journey. I told her afterwards, it was so nice for me to hear that, dealing with dmom and everything. Our preacher is also a Hospice counselor, so she is wonderful in this area.

We have put away the lawn mower and lawn chairs, moved the big grill & organized the big shop.

I am glad that I walked when I did as it is cold and breezy out now. B-r-r!

Last load of laundry has been folded. Lunch was good but did not agree with me.
