The first week of the third month is at its end. I'm not sure how the days go faster every year but there it is.
My friday has been somewhat taxing. I am surviving - keeping my sanity even.
Important ph call. Resolution is delayed while disputes officer looks for the cancellation form I sent in. Still. I'm to expect a call on Monday afternoon. I think they believe me though that it was sent, and am so glad I refused to accept delivery of the mobile phone. Otherwise getting out of this may be impossible.
Tackled more weeding and talked to one neighbour. Meanwhile another neighbour called my name and stuffed correspondence through the fence pailings to me. My rant is confined to pvt, and at length to friend on the phone tonight.
Yesterdays chicken left me with painful gums so tonight was strictly lenten meal - egg and cheese with my rice and veg. Dog can eat the chicken.
Also
items from table & floor out and away.
1/2 filled wheely bin with weed creeper. Neighbour worked on her side of the fence, but does not seem to understand the need to dig every last bit. Nor the need to bin it rather than just heap it. Here is hoping she will hear that part.
tomorrow - tai chi, market? or store?, Library? and osteopath at midday. Hoping he can help.

Re: Friday - March Seven
Busy day here....I need to straighten up for dcleaning lady, then to meeting this morning and body work this afternoon, temple this evening. My soup ended up quite salty - I may need to try the potato thing to see if it will draw some salt out. Oy - I used a different purchased stock because it needed to be vegetarian.
I need breakfast, and need to get rolling with clean up and a.m. routine.

Re: Friday - March Seven
Morning Twins. LynLee & all who enter the village today. Been packing & grabbing breakfast. Have to be at church in about 1/2 hour.
Went to Trivia with dd last night. We really did well -1st place. Now have $110 we have to spend at this restaurant. I enjoy it but am so tired after. ($50/1st, $25/2nd & $10/3rd).
DD, dh and I are all going to Jacksonville this afternoon to spend the weekend with DS-R, ddil & TJ. TJ is racing WKA national event. Hoping weather is good and things go well. They all deserve a good weekend. This will mean I've seen all our dks & dgks this winter. Not bad.
Need to run.....think I'll take my k indle and try to post from that later this weekend.

Yes, Lynlee, the days sure do seem to go by faster and faster each year. I feel like I'm in a time accelerator. That sounds kind of Dr. Who-esque.
Wow, you DID do well, Dee!! Congratulations!!
Was the soup for someone else, Twins?
I am up, have fed the ddogs, had bfast, taken GG to school, checked emails - not much going on, thankfully.
I'm leaving in about an hour to drive to neighboring village to go walk with a friend I get together with about 2x/year. I do see her at church too; we did a couple online seminary courses together several years ago. Also need to prep for tutoring; I have one pronunciation exercise for him. We kind of finished off the other "unit" we were working on so I need to find something new. Then, I'll pick up GG at 2:30, tutor at 3, be home by 5:15, I hope, pick up GG's friend around 6 pm, and either take the 2 girls out for dinner or just order pizza for them. I may go to friend B's house this evening; her dh and boys have also left to go skiing for the weekend! We might watch a chick flick together.
In the next hour: get as much of the a.m. routine done as possible!! And email dfriend B re: tonight. I didn't know if I'd be available or not.

Helia, the soup is for the Shabbas dinner tonight at temple - several volunteers making soup with a salad bar.

Re: Friday - March Seven
I'm up and dressed. Didn't exercise (this may be a problem later.) Stripped and remade bed. We (and the laundry machines) wore through another bottom sheet so that's in the packing material box and I've pulled out another. With the duvets, we only use one king sheet each week so when I buy a set, one sits in the cupboard waiting to be used while the other goes into our weekly rotation (I have two sets of everything being used weekly.)
I was going to buy new duvet covers when I moved and still might. It is hard to find high thread count, plain coloured *single* duvet covers but since dh and I each have a duvet, we need singles. The ones out there tend to be for university students so aren't 'elegant' looking or high quality. I'm still on our first sets of those, so they've lasted 6 years so far. On the other hand, I go through a sheet at least once a year (so they seem to last only 2 years at most.) And I imagine that will get even more often once I stop line drying them.
The boys come in 25 minutes so I need to eat my breakfast. And read over the service for this afternoon. It is World Day of Prayer and I have a part in the local ecumenical service.

Re: Friday - March Seven
Good morning, villagers ~
We are supposed to be above freezing for the next couple of days.
Today I need to finish getting ready for tomorrow morning's sewing group meeting. Not looking forward to the meeting -- ongoing issues sucking out all of the fun -- but I'll be glad when we're through this first meeting on the new schedule.
Good thing the time change isn't until tomorrow night. I'll need all the sleep I can get before an early morning meeting. Well, I say early -- I'll have to be ready to leave the house around 8 a.m., which is quite early enough for me!
Last night's library group meeting was very good. We accomplished a lot, with minimal drama. I need to go talk to the children's librarian today because she wasn't there last night and there are some plans for the state-wide Summer Reading Program that need clarification.
I hadn't planned to leave the house today, but having that errand to the library will get me out in the fresh air and sun for at least a little while.
Harmony ~ Good job on making the seat cushion. Also good to see the youth group cheered up DH. He's done so much for them, the least they could do is take him a card. I bet the hospital staff will also enjoy the bright green and it might put them all in a good mood for the day.
Lynlee ~ I'm glad to see you posting more. I saw your note in J&C about sometimes feeling out of step with the timing of the topic of the day that is posted here. IMO honestly, don't worry about the "theme" in the day's title, it's almost always just a little prompt to start a conversation. Talk away, girlfriend, on any topic you like.
Kathryn ~ Exciting news all around for you & Ken ... new apartment, DS coming home, DSIL with new job. That's a different situation there than I'm used to, behing hired now for a job that doesn't start until June and already receiving the moving allowance. Obviously they really want him and will do whatever's necessary to get him, which speaks very highly for his work.

Re: Friday - March Seven
44*-57* today's temp. Range. Dgd will be here early today by 2 hrs. So a busy day on tap. Laundry is going.
I seem to be fighting a bit of the sniffles that I suspect is allergies.
Lost a hen cute smallest one that used to follow me around sniff sniff; she had small round egg between a banty and reg. Size egg will miss her she had heath issues I noticed day before yesterday. The rest seem fine. The chicks chirp loudly and scramble around to eat it with delight getting rice for a treat.
H said the got the equipment going again at work he may have to work Sat. I was hoping to build new chicken ladders!

Re: Friday - March Seven
Hi blessed! I wish I could stay home today and work with you.
I did all the pick up / put away in the house today. All my sewing stuff from last evening. I've lost one little container of quilting supplies, the little plastic box I kept with me as I hand quilted those quilts, holding my 2 sizes of quilting thimbles, needle pullers, stuff like that. I just used a small scrap of the vinyl for needle puller. Not as flexible but it worked.
Have 1 LOL twirling, will hang it up before I leave today.
Paper that was supposed to take 2 weeks came yesterday in a fax. He must have gotten it done because I grumbled about the time! So on my way I will stop at 2 offices and submit our papers.
It's a beautiful day so far. Grass is very green from the recent day of rain. Hope everyone has a nice day. Twins, did the potatoes work?
