Quick answer to Lucylee (I shouldn't be online right now, I should be in a shower.)

1. If you point ddil to Flylady, I don't think she'll find us. Play around with googling the words Flylady, SHE and Organized and you won't find us.

2. If she googles ShesOrganized she will find us. But if she googles SHE and Pam and Peggy she won't. If she finds Organized Home, that resolves to the dead website so she wouldn't find us (until we get control of that domain again.)

I would say about 99.9% of people who learn about Flylady never connect it with SHE and look into the inspiration for the system. They don't read the books, they may not remember the names of Pam and Peggy and the systems are completely different. Flylady is stand alone. You either love it or hate it (some of the blog posts looked fascinating.)

I would point your ddil to Flylady saying that this was something that helped you a bit when you were working and you still sort-of follow the system although you don't get the emails any more (or say you do follow it, if you do.) It seems cruel to withhold such a tool from your ddil when she may need it.

On the other hand, you don't have to connect her to online forums for support. My guess is that the vast majority of people who follow flylady don't use the community aspect of it. And even if she does need support, it won't be in the form of our forum, most likely, she'll probably connect with a forum of flybabies who work shift work or something similar that is full of her peers, not people 20 - 30 years older than her and at a completely different life-point.

Thanks for opening the thread, Kathryn.

Yesterday's LEGO Club at the library was ok. 15 kids. We are taking a break now and will not meet again until September 17th. I brought home a bag full of donated used kits because we don't know if all the pieces are included. If pieces are missing, I'll see if we have similar in stock or if we can order replacements.

Our LEGO bins are well organized, but in general the library's storage room is a mess. I will try to do some 15 minute sessions when I go up to check the donation box each week. We have our regular monthly meeting next week. I know there is a large box of glass jars taking up a lot of room on a shelf, so I will ask if someone else can take them home that night. If we ever do another project where we need glass jars, they are easy enough to find.

Tomorrow and Saturday are sales-tax-free shopping days for back-to-school, so I ... will be hiding at home! Actually, Saturday is my DSis's annual summer party, so I'll be heading north in the afternoon to help her finish decorating. I think I'll make a pasta salad for the pot luck, that's easy enough. I'll use a vinegar-based Italian dressing, it will keep fine in a cooler until time to eat.

This evening DH and I are meeting friends for supper. We haven't seen them for several months. It will be fun to catch up with them. I also need to stop somewhere to buy a ream or 2 of paper.

I have printed a few photos of short haircuts. I'm going to try the walk-in hair place where I last had mine trimmed. The guy did a good job and we talked about my plan to donate the hair. I'm ready to do that this afternoon if the salon is not too busy.

Well, I'll try once again to post. My computer is being very finicky this morning. I'm up, s2s, bed made, breakfast, meds, dishes done and have picked up through. Did a couple of more focused jobs. I really am feeling the need to start tearing things apart and deep cleaning. It's hard while dd is still here. I'll have a week after she goes home -ddil is taking a week off work to be with dgs9. Then I'll have him for the next 2 weeks before school starts.

DD will be back up here the 3rd week of September for a wedding. Think she's planning on coming Thursday night and staying till Monday night.

Need to get dh's meds list printed out for Dr's office later this morning. Had a difference of opinion this morning on whether he should take his morning meds. His endoscopy is scheduled for 12:45. He didn't think I'd said anything about them yesterday -partly, I'm sure, because of his bad hearing and the fact he's so tired.

Rained over another 1/2" since yesterday afternoon. Rained, thundered & lightening a lot in mid early morning. Now it's sunny, but supposed to rain again off and on today. Think by now dd is marooned. Know she posted pictures earlier of the 'dog pond' area where she is. The roadway is over ankle deep there and there's water behind her from another pond.

Good morning! Yesterday after the afternoon meeting I didn't have time to go back home, so I went by temple and signed cks, then on to the 5:30 event, and from there dh and I went out for a nice dinner. I ate too much, certainly can't go weigh in today.

Outside, the guy who is building our new patio/firepit is working, ds and Z were just down here eating their breakfast. I like having Z around.

Got to get moving...
-walk ddogs
-finish up kitchen clean up
-med/vitamins
-deal with 10 pieces of paper from my desk

Dmom has a podiatrist appt this afternoon - as an elderly diabetic she needs foot care. She complains so much about having to go - first she told me she didn't really need to have nails trimmed ( after I asked her last week about her nails and she admitted then they needed to be trimmed.) Then she said she would go, but she needs to make appt for a longer time period in the future this time, so I looked up and her last podiatrist appt was March 20 - 4 months ago. Oy. Such a struggle with getting her out. I cancelled the attorney appt for today for her to give her time to consider the drafted will, which I just rec'd yesterday and needed some correction after that. Since dsis is on Medicaid, she is "cut out of the will" so that having her own 1/3 of a house won't mess with her medicaid - I know that mother understands that but I think it is hard for her to do.

After stating my MANY MANY failures, I just want to acknowledge a sweet moment yesterday. In about 30 seconds I was able to give DH medication list in detail (generic names, dosage, etc). I wanted to dance with glee over that small organizational achievement.

Yesterday afternoon DH came home and saw my attempt at fixing the dryer. He decided to take a look.....even though we only had about 5 minutes before we needed to leave. Unfortunately the sharp edge of the dryer parts put a big deep gash in DH arm. ARGH! After getting it cleaned up it was apparent DH would need stitches (could see the bone). There wasn't time to make arraignments for someone else to do our immediate responsibilities (I was due to pick up teenage volunteers and deliver to VBS. DH was due to meet the bouncy house guy and pay him). So I bandage DH arm up the best I could. After we delivered teenagers and LO to VBS and made arraignments for others to take care of my responsibilities there....and after DH took care of bouncy house guy......then I took DH to ER to get his arm stitched up. It all went smoothly and we were back at church within 2 hours and continued on with our evening activities.

good morning, haven't got much done around here waiting on cable guy i hate waiting for people.

To those that have had problems with bees, wasp i have had those problems i started using spray made for them it really discourage them building nest where you do not want them. I would spray

need to decided what to do around here while i am in the waiting mode.
