Re: A New Week Monday
We'd love to see more of you, Kally. Post away!
Need to get a move on and get up to the laundry room.
Really don't know how to get dh to slow down. He sees work that needs to be done, knows he needs to do it and just keeps going. Had another camper come up to me yesterday and said, "Maybe he'll listen to you, he won't to me". He'd seen dh getting very exhausted while shoveling stone on Saturday. Lots of helpers (thank goodness) but he'll just push as long as he knows there's work to be done. Part of that mentality I admire, because when I'm done, I'M DONE! Think part of it is he gets dehydrated without realizing it. I try to push water on him. He'll say, "The heat got to me". Today's his day off, but he wanted to get some septic tanks measured. He will take a few hours off tomorrow. Going to meet my db/dsil for lunch.
Well, breakfast & meds are done. That's all I've done so far.

I have done hen chores water is going. I have a plan for dinner. Sipping black coffee. Sat with h. On the deck while he ate. It is hazy out but does not smell smokey.
Just about every thing needs done. I did load the dishes before bed.

Re: A New Week Monday
So glad it's Monday, even tho it's another busy day. I need to get moving here. Somehow I have decided once again not to work out this morning. Dh and I didn't get there this weekend, and now I'm bailing again. OTOH, it's Monday after a busy weekend and I do need to talk to dmom via phone this morning and this afternoon take her and dbro to her county seat to see attorney there. Hopefully I can cross off two projects along the way - getting her a will that won't harm dsis' medicaid, and getting the house title in her own name. (was never changed after ddad died 15 years ago.)
Yesterday we spent awhile looking around at the market - bought corn on the cob, flowers, dh got a massage and we paid for and picked up our coffee table, which is a little bigger than I wanted but otherwise is good. We didn't go workout - had a little downtime here at home then drove to K-town to see dd - cute little apartment altho dh was taken aback that it was a "dump." I think he would rather pay a little more in a better area, but OTOH it is convenient for her and her choice and she knows to be cautious. We took her out to dinner and then for a trip through the grocery store, and eventually got back home a little past 10 p.m. and went straight to bed.
It's so nice to sit on my tushie a bit this morning!
-call dmom
-empty dishwasher
-kitchen counters
-walk the dogs
-start a lol

Re: A New Week Monday
Quickly peeking in...
Just wanted to tell you twins I lived in several of those off campus apts... Assuming your daughter may be in one of the many old Victoria homes and other houses converted into apts. My last one was on laurel and 16th. I loved all of them and always felt safe... As an adult looking back I can understand why your dh might feel a bit uneasy, but in my case everyone in my buildings and areas looked after each other... I loved the feeling of community that I felt. I know it's been a while since I was there but several of my friends children have expressed the same feelings as I did all that while ago.

Re: A New Week Monday
Good Morning- finally! It's nice to have the Village here and the opener was great, Harriet!
I dusted the house, dust mopped the wood floors, and have a load of laundry washing now. DH ran the DW before his drug study screening appt. for the diabetic study. He's accepted, too.
I could do the toilets/trash afghan, but just did them on Sunday.
I'm working on short story #2, by hand, too.
It's sunny here, should be 90* here today, and the little birds and bunnies are so precious. ♥
Have a great New Week Monday, Everybody!

Re: A New Week Monday
Sorry about the outage today. Dh coincidentally did something and thought he'd brought our server down but it turns out it was our webhost who did it due to a viral infection. When our server is down like that, we lose most email, our business website, dsil goes down and assorted other family who are hosted by us go down. So there was a lot of scrambling until dh finally realized there was nothing he could do but wait.
It is a holiday here in Canada but the rest of the world is still open for business so dh lost a good portion of the work day.
I had hoped to go for a bike ride downtown but am still waiting to hear from my senior friend. Looks like I'll lose the whole day to waiting.
Edited to add: the viral infection didn't come from the SHE village, nor did it even come from my company's servers but we share server space with other people and the virus came from one of them.

Re: A New Week Monday
Watering is nearly done now. Baked up the last 4 cookies for h lunches. Dumped trash. Dgd is here for a bit. Toddlern is at her granny's. Fighting discouragement over med situation. Could not find an a1c home test kit with immediate results in town seems they have discontinued it but got one ordered.
Water break next. I have raked the drive way, swept the patio and raked a bit by the back gate so that it slme exercise. Toddlern will be here shortly, dgd just left. Dishes are going now.

Re: A New Week Monday
Nancy has reminded me to water my plants. I'm hoping doing that will help break the magnetic attraction I've had to mindlessly surfing today and perhaps I can get other things done too.
