WINTRY WEDNESDAY
Though it's not truly 'winter' yet, much of our country and Canada are shivering. We had the heater going in our room all night. But I must say I probably slept the best I've slept in oh let's say FOREVER! It was after 5am before I woke up the first time. Got up for a potty break and went right back to sleep. Oh, that did feel good. Now maybe I can get some things done today.
Have a hair cut at 11 so have to leave here shortly after 10. It's way on the south side of the city, but I like the gal who does my hair -so it's worth it. Have Thanksgiving dinner at church at 6. I'm making ham so that has to get going before long. Any reason I can't do it in the crockpot? DD has to work on the float after school and will go right to church from there. Dsonil is SUPPOSED to go with us. What are the odds he'll 'weedle' out of it? Pretty good I think. DD mentioned it last night and he said, "Oh shoot!" Supposedly someone is supposed to be coming over -the same someone who was supposed to come at least twice in the last week and never showed or called. Sorry I'm so skeptical.
Dh has to go to H arbor F reight this morning to pick up a sander for dsonil. Bought him a new one last year but it burned up last night and he needs it to finish some chairs he's doing.
Time to face the rest of the world -guess that would just be one big lab and dh. He's been up a couple of hours. BBL
First thing is to throw in a lol. Off I go>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Re: WINTRY WEDNESDAY
Do know there was so much snow up home that the NY thruway was closed from Rochester to Buffalo. Friend of ours is up there right now for the funeral of his ex-wife. Went mostly to support his 2 dds. The funeral was to be yesterday but had to be postponed. They now have it scheduled for Thursday morning and he has a flight out of Niagara Falls Thursday at 6pm. Hopefully roads where they are -a bit south of Buffalo will be cleared before then. Don't think there was as much snow up home where we live. But there is substantial, depending on the location. Not sure how much plowing/salting ds-A ended up doing, Kathryn, but am sure they were busy. Know Dh called him yesterday and he said he was having a very stressful day. (I don't want to know!)

Good morning SHEs! Yes, it is cold today! Not as cold here as yesterday, though.
Today is my lightest day of the week, but I still have a meeting this morning, work this afternoon, and I'm seeing a concert with ds tonight. Originally, dh was going to go to this concert w/ ds, but he is out of town for a couple days - so I'm his back up.
TaDas!
- up
- meds for Pepper
- water for ddogs
- fed g. pigs
- tea for self
- wasted time toodling on this machine
ToDos:
- a.m. routine
- laundry
- leave at 8:45 for moms group teachers' meeting; hopefully, home again before 11
- prep for class today
- start typing up Ss paragraphs
- lunch
- teach R/W
- copy final exams for tomorrow
- gym?
- prep for R/W class tomorrow; not much besides the exam
- prep for S/L class tomorrow; also not much besides the exam
- prep for my part in the panel discussion at moms group tomorrow
- make up mac 'n cheese casserole for dd16 to take to orchestra rehearsal and potluck tonight
- lean cuisine for myself for dinner
- go to ukulele concert (ds' choice) with ds tonight
Next: s2s

Re: WINTRY WEDNESDAY
Good morning, villagers ~
Thanks for opening the thread, Dee.
Oh my, Helia, you have quite the schedule these days!
This afternoon is LEGO Club.
Therefore, today I must:
* Clean out my Harry Potter backpack and repack it for LEGO Club
* Watch the LEGO movie so I can tell the kids I finally saw it
* Nap, because 5 hours of sleep is not enough
* Fix potato/ham casserole in the crock pot
* Wash my hair early enough so it will fully dry before I go out
* Go to the library early enough to read the Sunday paper before LEGO club
* Talk to the children's librarian about whether or not she wants us to put up a giving tree to ask for story time craft supplies

Re: WINTRY WEDNESDAY
I'm up.
Went to bed early last night (dh is exhausted each evening) and ended up waking up in pain at 4:30 and getting up for an hour. Dh was twitching so we both took advil (I think I forgot mine at bedtime because dh gave me my bedtime vitamins at 7:45, 2 hours before I went to bed.)
According to the fitbit, I slept from 5:30 to 6:30 as well. I'm grateful for the heating pad because I'm sore all over. Will try and make an appointment for Monday with the doctor (we are busy on Friday.)
Snow doesn't come in until after lunch here and only 2" today and another inch overnight is possible. We could leave here today at 3 but that makes no sense since we'll be leaving during both rush hour and the snow. Tomorrow is to be flurries at worse, all the way home. We'll leave around 9:30 and need to be home for 4:30 p.m. since we have an event then.
Bought the entertainment coupon book this morning. Split three ways it will be $6.75 each (it was on sale 50% off and free shipping.) I'm guessing this thing is like our satellite radio, the renewal is ridiculously expensive but you can hold out for a sale. Which reminds me I need to watch for our renewal on the radio. I think it happens this month (as in they take the money but the subscription doesn't start until Jan.)
I'm done breakfast so need to s2s. I'm meeting the wives downstairs at 10:30 and we are doing a shoe museum today. I found a 50% off coupon last night so we'll split that 3 ways, using a senior's discount ticket and two adults for the price of one. I'm all about discounts these days!!!

Re: WINTRY WEDNESDAY
Good Morning!
I'm not hitting on all cylinders this morning. I feel fine but just don't seem to be getting things done in a timely manner. Even the routines that we have down to an art form are not working this morning. After I walked LO to catch the bus, I came inside to find his vitamins and allergy meds sitting on the counter. I can't remember the last time he missed taking them. I was distracted writing a check to send to school to cover his lunch and breakfast I wanted to pay for the rest of this year so it took me a few minutes to count the # of school days left (20) and multiple by daily meal cost ($2.75). ANYway - those few minutes of distraction meant I didn't do a good job of monitoring LO AM cards. Like a row of dominoes....when one falls down it affects all following it.
Raisin/apple/bran muffins are ready to serve for breakfast.
I think I will start my day over from the beginning. It should go faster than normal because I have accomplished SOME things that can now be skipped as I go through my hourly checklist.
Sooo - for me I'm starting again at 5am. *POOF*

Re: WINTRY WEDNESDAY
I'm now s2s and have washed up the breakfast dishes. My phones (yes, two, one US to contact dh, one Cdn to connect to the internet if I need it and cheaper text messages) are charging (forgot to do that last night.)
I have 30 minutes before going out. None of my to-do items are 30 minutes but I'll work on the anthem for Sunday.

Re: WINTRY WEDNESDAY
I am still looking at temple f/s. Phone call re: dsis was rescheduled to 11:15 so that is done. I need to wrap up this f/s report so I can get on to the rest of the day. It's not my favorite thing to do, I guess.
