Wednesday What if.....
I recently saw title to an article about living your life as if it was a movie. I admit to not reading the article but have been influenced by just the title.
if a movie was being made of your activities today, would you do anything differently? What if we pretended to have a film crew following us around?

I would love having all the company...especially cooking for them, I just wouldn't want to see the outcome (my home) on film.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Good morning!!!
I am enjoying every minute of having my family together - however, my ability to focus is gone - and it shows in my house (3 short days and boom - my house exploded because of my creative endeavors with the Christmas village. My diet is out the window as dd younger has been cooking such beautiful meals - she has become quite an accomplished home cook.
time to get the timer out!

Good morning!
I realized last night that Dec. 1 is Monday and not Tuesday like I had thought. I did not hear from the insurance gal yesterday. So if I don't hear from her by 1, I will be calling her. We have to get this straightened out because I can't go for an instant without house insurance. They are closing at 3 this afternoon and won't reopen until Monday.
I need to color my hair because my "light" colored roots are starting to shine.
Guess I better get started............

Re: Wednesday What if.....
Post and run here, I will be heading out to the neighboring county (using the scenic route, not interstate!) to take documents to probate court to start the entire process again with them. I need to get dressed and walk dogs and head out soon.
The morning always feels pretty good - I've decided that I just really don't feel well. It's emotionally, not physically but I am going to get my SAD light out as soon as I take a minute or two. Long afternoon yesterday with dmom, had dinner out with dh and that was cheerful and uplifting, but just generally feeling weepy and irritable.

Good morning! Schools for kids (K-12) are closed for the holiday here today, as is the private language school where I teach.
So. . . .I have no appointments or meetings or work on my schedule today.
((Twins))
Hi blessed! I'm looking forward to having my 2 oldest home today! Enjoy your family time!
Thanks for the start, LadyM. What an interesting idea. . . . I probably would waste less time if I knew someone was watching my every move.
Dd16 is still asleep and dh has left for his office.

Re: Wednesday What if.....
Good morning, villagers ~
I had hoped to be able to stay home today because I was out running errands all afternoon yesterday, but unfortunately I did not make it to the library yesterday before they closed. On Tuesdays they always close at 1. There were just too many things I had to do before I could leave the house, no way I could get there that early.
In addition, when I did finally make it out the door yesterday, I saw that same truck & trailer parked across my driveway again. I couldn't help myself, as I walked to the garage I said quite loud, "Seriously?!" By the time I opened the big garage door, though, the guy (a different one than before) said he was ready to leave right away. I laughed and said, "OK 'cause I was just thinking Oh No not again!" And he was gone by the time I backed my car out of the garage -- but good grief.
We are supposed to get 1-3" of new snow this afternoon. Luckily I did all the errands in The Big City yesterday, so today I will be able to stay within a 2 mile radius of home today.
Today's 7x7:
* clear everything out of the car
* post office
* library to pick up donations
* bank to deposit donations
* laundry
* change the sheets
* finish menu plans for December
Then tonight:
* make fudge
* precook ground beef & onions for tomorrow's crock pot recipe

((((Hugs to all those making holiday preparations))))
((Happy Dance with Ramblin Rose who has her dson with her!))
I'm up and at it much earlier than yesterday! At 8:20 I managed to roll out of bed but hit the ground a bit quicker than yesterday so am dressed. I've already made a phone call as well. We've accepted the invitation to the Christmas Party at the retirement home. Drinks, dinner and entertainment. A nice way for them to thank their volunteers. I ended up talking with the administrator for 20 minutes because she was excited to hear from me. She belongs to our sister church (that's how I got the job, she recommended me) and is also excited she'll see us tomorrow since she doesn't work weekends when I'm usually there. It is reaffirming to be liked.
The bedroom is tidied up and I've cleaned my bathroom. Dh's shower drain smells awful. This started when we got home from Toronto and he just thought the water had evaporated from the U-trap. But it is back again despite him using the shower yesterday. I've put down vinegar and baking soda and will let that work for an hour or so and then dump down a few buckets of scalding water. Thankfully the water out of the tap can be scalding so I don't have to boil a lot. At the house we kept the water tank at a low temperature so needed to use boiling water to clear the drains on a regular basis since the regular water wasn't hot enough to melt/sweep away the grease.
I have the kitchen drapes in the washer along with a few other whites. I have darks to do but since the bleach cycle yesterday, needed to run some whites first according to the manual. Thankfully, the drapes need to be washed, not because they are dirty (I don't think they are, I prefer not to look that closely!) but because the wrinkles from being packaged never 'hung out' and they drive me crazy. These are fabric shower curtains (the only ready made curtain I could get that was the right length) so already don't look quite 'right' and the wrinkles make them look worse.
My break is almost done so I'll head off now and find something else to do. Today is a lighter housekeeping day so I'll use it to catch up on the things I didn't get done Monday and Tuesday.
