I spent all day Saturday working on my meal. I fixed Apple Dumplings and Homemade Whole Wheat bread first. After I cleaned up that mess and washed dishes, I took a shower, etc. Then I started preparing the rest of the meal. Everything turned out great. The Apple Dumplings were a hit. I will need to get more vanilla ice cream for the leftovers. Dh likes ice cream on his, but I want to taste the Apple Dumplings.

Of course, there had to be drama. I luckily didn't hear it, because I was talking to the little girls in another part of the house. Dgd18, dd of dd1 was making a big deal that her and her dm were going on a mother daughter date to the movie later. Dgs20 goes back to college on Monday, so dd2 asked dgs20 if he had been invited and he said no, he didn't want to be a 3rd wheel. So dd2 told them that they could do that any time since once he leaves he won't be back for 2 months. Well that irritated dd1 and her dd18, but it is the truth. Dgs20 has taken second place to dgd18 since the day she was born. Dd2 will always have dgs20's back. She asked him what movie he would like to see and told him she would go with him. Later they asked me to go, so I went. The other dgd18, (dd2's dd) and her boyfriend wanted to see American Sniper. It has been sold out every performance since it opened yesterday. Anyway they ended up seeing the same movie as we did and sat with us. Which was The Wedding Ringer.

This afternoon and Monday, it is suppose to be in the 60's. I would like to get the 2 vehicles cleaned out and wash them. I also need to vacuum the garage. It is a mess with leaves blown in and then sand, etc. that was driven in. Dh had wanted to trim trees but his other ear is starting to plug up again, so I am sure he won't be doing that. I have washed both vehicles by myself before, so I may tackle them.

It is just going to be too nice to stay in the house. After this warm spell, no telling how long until we have another one.

I will be glad for dh to get that CT scan on Thursday, so we can see what is going on with his sinuses.

Thank you Kathryn and Ken for all the work you have had to do lately, to get the village up and running again. It is very appreciated.

Now it's really late, so I better head to bed.

I am so happy it all worked out!
Your food sounds delicious!!! Great work sweet lilac! Wishing you a lovely serene day... that sounds lovely for all of us!

I have to pick up dd younger from her weekend.. parking in Chicago is hard to find in apartment areas so I was happy to drive. They need to jump the car because they left the keys in the car - so I will bring those. leave at 9:20 a.m.

todays goal: all paperwork - filing - planning our week and my focus area - writing letters

I'm up.

Load of laundry is in the washer. I have my clothes for the day laid out - church, church board meeting, afternoon party is on the agenda today. I've picked out a lunch to make for myself at the church since there's no place in either village to grab a quick meal.

I've had my lemon and hot water (not noticing any benefits except I pee more in the morning since I've added another 8 oz of liquid before breakfast.)

Wrote up two sets of church minutes and printed them off.

We need to leave in 90 minutes so I need to go over all the papers on my table and get a pile set to bring to the meeting today.

So far the day is going well.

waving from late Sunday.
I missed church.
This afternoon - Went to coast, river side park. I missed seeing the friends who were also there, so ddog and I had a quite few hours in the shade and cool there. The house is still 31C at almost midnight.
Out tonight. Later we went and sat in a/c macplace. I had chicken salad.
Must get ready for bed. Dare I stand on scales?
Just begin.

waving to u sweet llyn - that is warm - hope its not humid - sweet dreams

my counters, table, stove are clean (stove could be cleaner but I am okay with it) animal feeding dishes washed, dishwasher running (probably wants to run away)
swiped a noticeable spot on wall above stove.. could be better but it's okay for today - it needs a washing down in that spot.

No, Lynlee, stand on scales only in the a.m. Outing with ddog to river side park sounds ideal. You know, you should get a photo of you and ddog outdoors while warm weather. I know what dd would say - "take a selfie". But I was thinking of posing on outdoor chair or bench.

I set alarm early, dressed with special care since I'd be up front at church today substituting. Fixed the new necklace dstepson gave me so that it hung just right. Gathered everything for church, remembered book I needed. Scraped the ice off the windshield. Made sure I was at early for rehearsal time. Got there and the other soprano who was going to be absent was there after all.

I don't remember exactly how I asked the bass singer the question, and I may have phrased it wrong. But basically he said they didn't need me! :( In hindsight, perhaps having a question at all was wrong and I should have just gone to a microphone. But I picked up my things and exited. I'm home and planning to stay. I've only missed church once in months because of new jobs, etc., and today I'm not in an appropriate frame of mind, so I'm home. Serving as substitute is a very unappreciated responsibility.

:?: Cat lovers, why is Tobias so frantic for food lately, do you suppose? No change in food or its quantity over the last year or maybe even 1.5 years, vet's diet ideas. Yet both HRH and I have noticed that he is anxious, nervous and begging for food. To get our attention to the cabinet, he will knock items onto the floor there, that sort of thing. Seems to be just living for that food.

All the hens happened to lay the same morning yesterday, and I have been able to figure out which hen lays which egg, by coloration/size/speckles. That makes me smile. They are each unique.

Harriet, maybe Tobias is taking lessons from dMacs? Or maybe he is bored? Does he get outside time? Yes, I might have headed back home also. Dh still has his nose out of joint about the Hanukkah latke episode.

Have been productive already today - kitchen sink drain is no longer stopped up! Did the vinegar and baking soda, followed in 30 minutes by almost boiling water and dh plunging. Very odd that what looks like toilet paper cardboard roll came up, but that may have been the ultimate culprit.

PODA:
p/u SU order
make challah for dd
get challah and some clothes that dd left here to P so she can take to K-town tomorrow
get the house back together
cook dinner for dfriend/former neighbor this evening, will make extra chicken for wraps next week
grocery, so I can cook dinner tonight
dh wants to go to a furniture store to look at breakfast room tables also

Right now:
-s2s
-start a lol
-walk dMacs (dh walked Moses already)
-clear breakfast counter
-make the bed

I have vacuumed the garage floor and vacuumed and wiped down the inside of the SUV. Now I need to do the same to my car and then I am going to wash it.

Burning daylight, so better get busy.
