Shining Sunday
How will you shine today?
Hopefully, I'll shine in church this morning.
At least my nails will. I've just put polish on them and am sitting here waiting for them to dry!

Re: Shining Sunday
Let your light so shine, Kathryn.
I'm up. Wanted to get the new Joys & Concerns up. Also needed to pay a couple of bills. Couldn't figure out why my American Ex press bill was so high until I researched my orders and figured out we'd bought dd a new tv for Christmas. Aha! Hopefully this month it will fall back to normal????
Dh and dsonil have gone to the flea market.
Had a dickens of a time getting my blood sugar this morning. Used 3 strips by the time I finally got it.
Time to start rise and shine or as I used to tell our dks, "Time to rise and glitter". Still a saying in our family.
Posted a couple of threads in the February J&C -they were posted early this morning and wasn't sure everyone would look back.

Re: Shining Sunday
If I have any energy when I get home, I have a lot of house shining to do.
Dusting, floor vacuuming and cleaning. And the bathrooms. Only the kitchen (but not floor) had its weekly cleaning done. And I haven't done zone work for ages.
Very nervous about this morning's service. I'm always that way before a new church. It is 'way in the rural east end' of the city but, amusingly, is only 30 minutes away. As is our church, and the retirement home (although it is 20 minutes from our old church to the retirement home, driving towards the city!) Apparently, we live 30 minutes from everything here!
Thanks Dee for making our Village shine!

Re: Shining Sunday
That snow (which is forecast for western NY too) will also make ds-A happy. Not so happy to have loved ones travel in it. It's a catch 22 for sure for our family. Also means overtime for DS-R but he has a 2nd part-time job that pays him well when he's on call. Working for friends at their very large towing company. They do a lot of big rig jobs. He's not on call as much during the winter as he has to be 'on call' for the town.
Just getting ready to head out to church. May your day be shining and bright -whether you have to go out in it or not. Wondering how Helia's faring today. I see you're getting it, Blessedw2 -you stay safe too.

Re: Shining Sunday
My red wagon is shining roadmaster brand.
Yesterday got a bill for half of my doctor visit last Aug. Ack! Even though I gave em the credit card to cover it then. Aweful service h. Even stopped by after work to check on it the next month they said it was current. I am just glad it did not come last mo. Talk about awful bookkeeping! I am sure this is a ripple effect of the ACA.
This morning I am glad to report I dreamed of weaving! Happy day today! Superbowl Sunday makes me smile, woke up at six thinking about it! Need to get on my Seahawks colors blue & green beads on. Loads of folks had on their Seahawks colors yesterday over town!

Re: Shining Sunday
lucylee, Ruby is dd1s dog that jumped from a moving vehicle in August. 10 days later she was paralyzed in her back legs. The vet recommended putting her down but they didn't. By early December she was able to stand and can walk somewhat outside. In the house she drags herself. Go figure! Anyway they keep her in a diaper in the house, plus they have a pen they put her in while they are gone, so I had to lift her in and out. I had wore grubby clothes over there. When I got home I washed my hands again and changed clothes. I still felt like I smelled like a dog.
helia, did you get that 12" of forecasted snow?
blessed, I had heard you were getting snow and knew you would be happy.
Dee, I hate when I have to use more than 1 test strip to test bs.
It is sunny today but very cold and windy.
Yesterday while I was gone, dh answered the phone and agreed to 4 weeks free newspaper from a town 180 miles from here. After 3 weeks they will call to see how it is working out. I told him in the future he is to say "I am not authorized to buy anything, thank you anyway." That is what dm finally had to ingrain in dstepdad because he couldn't say no and was agreeing to all kinds of things. I decided to nip it in the bud, I hope it works.

Re: Shining Sunday
yes d lilac I am thrilled by the snow.. dh isn't as joyous as I am though
I also understand about dh's and telephone calls like this. You can call and cancel it but they may not allow cancelation unless your dh calls.
d twins safe travels!
d Nancy. awful re: doctor bill. Cheering for you .. weaving dream and also a great day for football.
Ddee I wish you a great day!
I am not going to church today .. I feel bad about that but our church has service during the week at 8 am. I am thinking of going when dd younger goes down by herself. It's done in the little chapel.
dining room is decluttered again. surface vacuumed and surface rinsed. surface duster
