Re: MONDAY, MONDAY
Back to extreme cold advisory. Sigh.... Yesterday the high was over 25, now we are below zero and there's a wind chill as well.
I'm up, bed is stripped and remade and I've had my tea & chocolate.
Last night I stayed up and finished working on my evening clothing for the cruise. Daytime is still in flux. I really need some sun dresses but may have to give up on that since everything looks like a tent on me. I have one pair of tan jeans to take and a pair of ugly capris. I had bought a used skirt but ended up leaving it behind. I tried on things in the shape-wear so I'd get used to wearing it. It is comfortable - just a pain to get on and off.
Today's to-do list is huge plus I have school tonight. It is so cold, I may put off shopping until Wednesday since there is no mall that has everything I need so I'll be in and out of the car. I'm looking for tops to go with my new pants so will have to wear those and they are useless in the cold.
That reminds me, I need to put on long underwear today for my walk to school tonight. There has not been one week when my walk to school was above 0*F. I'm pretty annoyed about that. Yes, I can do it, but that's not the point, there have been a few non-breaktakingly-cold times in that past 7 weeks but not one has fallen on a Monday night. I'm as bitter as the cold about that.

Re: MONDAY, MONDAY
Good morning, villagers ~
Thanks for opening the thread today, Dee.
I was starting to feel guilty about being lazy reading forums and blogs this morning and not planning to do very much the rest of the day. Then I realized:
* I have already completed 2 loads of laundry.
* The main task I am planning for mid-day is a quick errand to The Big City. One of the reasons for doing the errand is to give my car a good run because although I'm not sure of the expected high temperature today, the radio dj warned of wind chills between -25 and -30F.
Extra cold means that we get extra credit, right Kathryn?
* I'm scheduled to work at the library this evening.
* Continuing to declutter here and there.
That's not so bad.

Yes, Booksaver, we get extra credit when running errands in extreme cold. Ramblin Rose also gets credit when doing so in extreme heat.
Just checked and it is 11:30 p.m. in Fremantle and 82* right now. Two more weeks.
Prepared all the vitamins for the trip. That took over 45 minutes. Finished off that last of The Guardian series while I did that task.
My first load of laundry is in the dryer at the moment, on the other hand, I have yet to s2s.

Re: MONDAY, MONDAY
hello d ladies!!!
yesterday I couldn't come back to work as I had a bit of a bug. But today is cold and so so sunny - which is wonderful!
dd younger is in so much pain.. but we move forward and see how the day can help reduce the pain.
The house... oh the house... I think I heard the rooms whispering to each other; they are saying they want to lock me out of the house unless I start doing my chores to keep them clean. Hey if that happened I would play all day
wishing you all a great day
dd younger has an eye doctor appointment
d uncle has an oncologist appointment - I will call him to remind him that I will be picking him up.
dd older has an appointment with a woman for organizing. I think this one might be a learning experience for her. One person is hiring her for another person... that doesn't go well usually. She will figure it out. Definitely a learning experience.

Re: MONDAY, MONDAY
my paperwork has been sorted, listed and put away
now for a put away jaunt in the dining room... dd younger came in and asked how the dining room table became so cluttered... I said it was from not putting our stuff away daily. With us being gone the daily round robin was not done and now we are living with the consequences.

Re: MONDAY, MONDAY
I went over my wardrobe planning spreadsheet. I had to add a long sleeved shirt for mosquito protection but it only makes 2 outfits. I also need to find lighter long pants (I only have jeans and they'll be hot in the tropics.) Not sure where to look for those at this time of year, am tempted to wait for Australia and get the end of season sales but Australians don't tend to be as large as I am so I might have trouble getting anything to fit (I loved going to Hawaii last year because my size was the norm there!)
Next up is to s2s.

Re: MONDAY, MONDAY
Bookie, you're way, way ahead of me. I've only been reading and surfing the internet: blogs, stamping, Pinterest, anything but being productive! OTOH, I have a quiet day here and plan to fully take advantage of it, LOL. Dh bowls tonight so this is a long day here at home for me. I am watching a genealogy webinar tomorrow night, have a dr appt with dmom on Thursday and going to a birthday dinner that evening, and have body work on Friday.
We went to the get-together last night - was a fun evening. Gorgeous older house with views both east and west, creative pizzas and wine which he makes in the basement.
I've promised ddogs today that they will get two walks. The weather has been so cold and wet and breezy that I haven't had the heart to walk them so much and my steps have been suffering. They did get one walk each yesterday, so that's an improvement.
Okay, attempting to pry my tushie off this chair; I think the glue has set permanently. I'll need massive amounts of BGS today.
-start a lol
-refill meds/vitamin containers and take vitamins/supplements
-clear kitchen counters
-wash face, brush teeth et al and get dressed
-walk the dogs...

Re: MONDAY, MONDAY
we hit 14 degrees Yay! this AM it was 8 below so I am much happier that we got sunshine and there isn't any wind.
getting ready for first dr. appointment for dd younger
dh and I had a nice chat... lovely since I haven't had a lot of time with him.
I have been working on paperwork and put away. Not much to show for the work I have done but it is a beginning.

Re: MONDAY, MONDAY
Hello.
Kathryn, I especially liked your quote about the stress, carrying the glass of water all the time.
I totally believe that's what my problem is. I am carrying the same stress issues for years. DH and my health. This failed economy in this part of the country. Other issues have come and gone, but these two all-encompassing things have been a constant in my life for a lot of years. I never seem to get a break from the worry of these.
The other day DH and I were chatting and he said he doesn't feel any stress.
Certainly not, he has me to carry it!
Anyway, this Monday I finally feel a bit better. I'm left with a drippy cold and bad cough but the aches and pains finally are gone. I can't explain how much getting warm and comfy in bed last night helped.
DKids left around 6:00 last evening. DD was very very grateful for their little mini-vacation. They brought us souveniers and gifts. This morning I have laundry going, dishwasher going, and papers organized for DH to take to county office. He has been in and out and I have not had a chance to talk with him yet.
Kathryn, I do not envy you having to get all those outfits together. I wouldn't know where to start. I only have a few pairs of slacks that look nice and a lot of nice tops, but no formal wear, no sun dresses, no dressier shoes. Maybe it's a good thing we don't go on cruises...
blessed, hope there's good news for your dd.
I see more snow headed for some of you mid-week. Watching the accident in NJ on tv.
