Taco Tues./ Do the chicken dance!

In honor of cynco de Mayo our fav taco place has 69 cent tacos it is a mad house for them they are slammed most of the day. We always skip that and go eat some where else. Or cook at home. Our son's fam celebrates at home with an ethnic meal. His wife lived in Mexico for a yr.

Feels like a 3rd world country here at times with the intermittent innernet service we have here & the roo woke me I was all sweatty and checked bs it was low #61 so I had some fruit started coffee as h said he had to get up earlty today. Sipping cocoa coffee. Took a m pill.

Yesterday the roo was in with the hens in the run and louder than normal h was cussing him threatening to ring his neck! Sat one of the neighbors was whining I sort of chuckled to my self they have parties thay keep us up some times guesys block our driveway so it is my revenge! Today the roo is back in the roo house his crowing much more muffled. On a car show h was watching last night they had a roo that went to a farm. Happy with the hens doing the chicken dance. Have you ever seen the chicken dance?

Nancy, dd keeps finding me chicken images/art anywhere we shop. Thankfully, she is broke, lol.
Yesterday we went to Twin's Mom's fav hangout, Hobby Lobby. And she was excited about little knick-knack chickens that actually open to reveal a ring-hiding space. Instead we bought from the art dept (sketchbook and portfolio for her) and do-it-yourself jewelry dept (findings, a small pendant for her to make me a necklace for M day).

Lilac, Lilac's dh, and Twins' Mom uppermost in thoughts today. Mr. DeeClutter's pain level, too.

School run done but Morning Dailies need more time as I haven't gotten the laundry complete.

Have exercised for a half-hour, drinking my second pint of water throughout.

Quite a bit of Desk Day was done yesterday, but there's more today.

One of my DPCs from the other day is on its second life today. Sigh. Sometimes they can be like dust bunnies, multiplying.

Mother's Day thoughts - is everyone on task with this one? Need a REMINDER?

Next Ups - breakfast, laundry, bathroom swish and swipe.

Happy Cinco de Mayo. Tacos are not a bad idea. As far as restaurants, I would probably eat at Mexican restaurants a lot if others in my family enjoyed them. A favorite destination for me, although water weight follows!

Good morning! Slow morning here. I'm up and have had my bfast of tea and banana. I have checked emails and web sites - and have responded to a couple emails, moms group business. There's a lot to do with the end of the year: child care workers' thank yous and gifts, sending off our pastor's wife, sending off other members of the group who are moving, etc. I've also refilled the dogs' water bowl

I saw that dd16 did NOT eat a hard-boiled egg this morning as we had discussed.

Dh is off on a run before the rains hit. It's supposed to rain for about 24 hours, starting this morning. Hmmm.... This was my day to go for a jog, but I declined to join dh b/c I'd already had tea (it is better to jog on an empty/near empty tummy) and I wanted to go later -- but I may not be able to.

How fitting - we're having tacos for dinner tonight. I didn't even think about it being cinco de mayo.

Yes, Harriet, good reminder. I have a plan to order flowers for dmom. I need to get that done soon. And from yesterday, yes, I really relish those days we can be together as a family of 5. Those days are becoming fewer and fewer. That is as it should be, but it is also a bit sad.

I'm not sure I have seen the chicken dance, nancy.

Yes, thinking of many members here. ((Twins and family)) Lilac and Mr. Lilac - will say a prayer for the surgery today. Thinking of Mr. Dee too and his recovery.

I went to B and N yesterday and bought all the thank you cards (17 in total) for our moms group child care workers. Two of those are for regular subs, including dd19 who is helping out at the end of the year.

PODA:
- free morning to get caught up on some things
- leave around 2:30 to go in to payroll; receive my schedule and books
- leave around 3:45 to drive to neighboring village for my haircut
- home around 6:15, I'm guessing
- make a dinner of tacos and roasted broccoli
- get plans in place for class tomorrow, assuming I'll have a class tomorrow

Flank steak, marinated in teriyaki, for dinner tonight here. And bagel place at lunch. Ds and GF at dinner, dd at lunch. She tried inviting herself for dinner but asked her brother first and he said no, we wanted one-on-one time with the GF. That is true. Plus the way dd behaved on FB makes me want to keep her away from the GF while I'm getting to know her.

I also froze 9 servings of pork chops and a second flank steak, so I've had a busy morning despite just starting my tea now. I'm in a mood because the day is fast fading and I haven't even got dressed yet.

I also took a walk around our Village and cuop along the way.

I do this all the time and I'm just wondering......Does this count as EXERCISE?

Kathryn, just been wondering -just what is the problem with your knees? Seems you keep having escalating problems with them and your legs. My thoughts and prayers for healing for you are abundant.

I'm up s2s, meds, breakfast and bed done. Slept fairly well last night. Time to get busy and do something. I didn't go out to the main part of the house until 9am. Can't do that too many times. The rest of the week, anyway, dsonil has to be to work by 8am for orientation. Then he will start his 12-hour nights regimen. That's when it'll get difficult. Hopefully there'll be a 'break' there.......

Dh sounds a little better. Hopefully his pain level is becoming more manageable. Or he's doing a good job at lying.

Lilac, you and your dh are in my prayers. We'll all be sitting in that virtual waiting room. It's nice having a room specifically for we SHEs!

DD has told me to save the 23rd for something special. Hoping she's not making too much of a big deal about my b'day. She, DS-R and myself all reach 'milestone' birthdays this year.

Time to go do the dishes. Been making a sheet with all the things I want to accomplish before I leave in 30 days. Yikes! Now it's coming fast, faster, fastest. Better get at it.

Well, Kathryn, you've done a whole lot more than I have this morning and I'm also still in pajamas.

I gotta get rolling. Today I have a temple meeting at 2 p.m. re treasurer transition. It's complicated by the fact that new treasurer has been jumping ahead and doesn't understand why things are done the way they are. While he can change whatever he wants down the road, I hope he understands why things are the way they are, and where we came from before we hired outside accounting/bookkeeping help. So I need to prep for that.

Dh actually told me that he'll be home for supper, and I've looked at recipes for chicken tacos. We have chicken tenderloins in the freezer that need to be used (they were purchased thinking they were chicken breasts) so this is a good opportunity to use them.

-get the garbage out (I think I share garbage day with Nancy)
-breakfast
-rewash the load I started yesterday that didn't get to dryer (if the truth be told)
-straighten GR
-meds for me and dMacs

Thanks for the reminder, Twins. I need to get our trash around too. Put quite a bit in the recycling bins -from the porch more than anywhere. But I have things to go out in our bedroom/bathroom as well. Trash day is Wednesday. I'll put the recycling bins on the front porch later -after dsonil leaves for Tampa (to get his remaining checks hopefully).

Now it really is time to get at those dishes. Didn't do them last night -we ate dinner quite late as dd and I decided to trek to Winter Haven to see if their A ldi's carried the advertised cappuccino. They did and we stocked up as once it's gone, it's gone. I want to try the caramel. Never have and we're not sure if we'll like it as well as the French vanilla. Since we brought some of that home, that's all dsonil has. Mainly dd and I have the French vanilla coffee in the morning. I bought 4 boxes of cappuccino to take up home as it was a very good price.

Not my favorite holiday here.. people use it as an excuse to drink too much.. and well you know..

Almost 2 hours at my desk this morning doing desk chores. Bills/checks are in the box and bank account reconciled. Lost check from last month is truly lost.

Knee is better. I'm down to one waterproof patch over the steri strips and don't need extra gauze over it. It only hurts if I bump my knees together (and I am slightly knock-kneed so I tend to do that).

Thinking about Lilac and DH. Is his operation today?

Oh, looking at my bushes yesterday, I forgot to mention azaleas. We can grow them here and I have one bush and it does really well if I don't forget to trim the shoots off otherwise they get all leggy and bare at the bottom. Only thing I don't like about them is they have beautiful fuscia blooms, but only once a year.

I am coughing ~ sigh was going to knitting class now I just do not know oh well.
Fed chickens had coffee spiffed bed. It is cooler here today yea, swept seeds too. Need tp store run on prder.
Saw some pjs I want & a plant thinking of getting that for my mom's day. Card is in the mail to mom.
I have a plan for dinner left over deli chicken.
