FANTASTIC FRIDAY
At least I'm starting out with that attitude.
I've been up for at least 2+ hours. Woke up at 4:20 and didn't really go back to sleep. Never got to bed till after 11:30 -because as I was starting to get ready for bed I realized I still had laundry (including my nightgown) in the dryer. So went out to get it to find my clothes on top of the dryer and dsonil's in the dryer. His were done but mine were still damp so I folded his and put mine back in the dryer. When I went back out the light in the hallway was out but he was still doing things in his chair. Retrieved my clothes and folded the ones that had to be folded so they didn't wrinkle. When I returned to the living room I was carrying the basket in front of me, dsonil had turned out his light, leaving just a very dim one -not that it would have mattered. But in those few minutes dBailey changed her spot and unbeknown to me was lying right in my path. For some reason I moved the basket just slightly and happened to spot her about 1/2" in front of my foot. That's a long way of saying, that would have spelled disaster. I NEVER forget that I have clothes in the dryer!!
Had a bite on my leg that was bothering me so stepped out on the porch to get some aloe. That does seem to help!
Made reservations for our 2nd night on the road this morning. We're going to try Dunn, NC the first night and Williamsport, PA the second. We were only somewhat limited because dd will have their lab with her.
We're just hoping we have room to pack DS-A's 200+ shirts in our cars. U P S delivered them late yesterday (and he was very pleased he could simply back up to the garage and unload the very large boxes. DD would never have fit them in her car from the storage point! And they would have been nigh on to impossible to carry.
Talked to dh for quite a while this morning. He was just leaving for the fire department. They have their DWI reenactment at the high school this morning. They do it every year just before the prom. Hopefully it's not raining again. See it's forecast for today. He should see our 2 dgks there so told him to pass on my hugs.

Re: FANTASTIC FRIDAY
Good morning!
Tea and chocolate are done so I need to get moving. The kitchen is tidy as is the bedroom. I hope to henna my hair this morning so I really need to get going.
Also on the to-do list for the day, write a service and sermon.
Updated my stats on MyFitnessPal and posted about Ottawa Race Weekend (May 23/24) on the fitbit group. The course runs by our place so I wondered how many were running the Marathon and half marathon.
Roads are closed for us so I studied the map to figure out how to get to my church service in the afternoon. We may skip church in the morning since traffic might be intense. Although there are two escape routes for us, there will be lots of people trying to use them.
As I just told dh, we have to be aware of all events like this on in the area now. Nothing ever got closed in the village or even the roads leading from our village. But two weeks after the Race Weekend, all our new neighbourhood's main street will be shut for the whole weekend for the local festival. So, once again, getting around will be tricky.

Re: FANTASTIC FRIDAY
Good morning! I hope it will be a fantastic Friday here. I have a lot to get done before I head out he door for payroll at 12:55. .
I have had my QT, had some bfast, s2sed and done some self-care, worked on a groc. list, and unloaded the dw.
3? days ago, we decided to celebrate dh's birthday tonight. He chose bbq baby back ribs for his dinner, so I need to buy the fixings for that and figure out how to get them made and finished cooking around 6:45 pm when I get home from work around 6:10 pm. Our oven has a timer option which I'm hoping to use. I'll make the potatoes and green beans when I get home. S and R will be joining us. Dd16 will make a trifle dessert. I had no other time to go to the groc. store - except for last night, and I was so tired last night. We weren't done cleaning up the kitchen until around 8:20.
I need to leave around 12:55 for payroll. First, tutoring A for 1.5 hours, then driving to campus and finding parking and doing school payroll until 5:30.
Before I leave for payroll at 12:55, I MUST:
- go to the groc. store
- prep the ribs for the oven
- set up the breadmaker
- prep for class (I hope to have some time when I get to work, but there won't be much)
- have something for lunch
Things I'd also like to do before I leave:
- finish a.m. routine
- wash a small load of jeans
- put clean sheets on the MBR bed
- tidy living areas
WW has gotten lost in the busyness of today. I don't have an hour to spend on the meeting. I may have 35 minutes to spend to get there and back and weigh in, but it would make this morning even more stressful.
Would like a break from days filled with running from one task to another, but tomorrow will be similar. . . . We are hosting small group tomorrow evening, which means cleaning and cooking, and it is also the districtwide music outdoor concert, which means a couple hours of volunteer help in the a.m. plus some baking plus watching dd16's concert late in the afternoon and getting home barely before (and possibly after) small group will be here. . . Maybe Sunday will be more relaxed.
Have a good day all!

Re: FANTASTIC FRIDAY
Helia: probably too late now but I do ribs in the crock pot. If you like them crispy, you could finish them off in the oven when you get home. Probably 10 - 20 minutes at a high temp would be enough.
My hair has henna mud all over it now. I'm in the waiting period. Have 40 minutes more to wait.
In the meantime, I've started a load of laundry. Now to work on the service by picking music.

Re: FANTASTIC FRIDAY
Good morning, everyone! It is a Fantastic Friday indeed - it's payday. AND, while I don't have a lot of money leftover this month, I did put back all the money I borrowed from savings. Due to the way my bills come in (due close to the first of the month) and the way my paychecks come (every other week), my pattern will have to be borrow from savings at the beginning of the month and put it back when the next paycheck arrives. I may end up contacting companies to stagger my payments better. In the past, companies have changed due dates with no problem - they just want to get their money.
Last night, I didn't do much except eat and visit with my brother. The x had forgotten that this was going to be a late night due to bro's schedule, but remembered when he called. Brother will be coming back through more often, apparently there is a lot of work to be done at the site down the road. There were about 120 people from his company that came out!
I still have not done my hotel reservations, but did talk to DD13 about activities along the way. She liked them. I have two potential activities for her on Sunday - nature walk in a state park about an hour away or a talk on how to take care of your pets in your estate plan. I know the second seems like a strange way to entertain a 13 yo, but she likes to have interesting information, and would probably be entertained.
My office is still noisy due to the fans drying out the lake in the two adjoining offices. It looks like it will rain again, I hope the roof is fixed. Found out a coworker on my team is moving to another project team. We have lost our leader and now 25% of the team.
So glad to hear good news from lilac.

Re: FANTASTIC FRIDAY
Morning y'all..
I am up and all morning routines are done. I am waiting on a phone call. My old house has been sold and I am donating furniture and such to the local group home society. They have a re-sale store on their property and the donations they accept either go directly to the home, if it can be sold, or repurposed and sold at their store.
The donation truck will be at my home between 7-11 with a 1/2 hour lead on my part. I am ready to go. Also have my monthly retired teachers lunch which held close to the house I am selling so will join the girls at some point. Then I will head out and go get my drivers licences renewed. There are suppose to be terrible rain storms starting this afternoon so I am hoping that will keep many people from showing up at the motor vehicle dept. We shall see.
Otherwise my day is done. I have a good book to keep my happy while waiting.

Re: FANTASTIC FRIDAY
Hair is done. Was just starting my lunch in the microwave when CF called to come over to measure for blinds. That's done now, the order will go in today and we should have them before the end of the month. (He has a window coverings business on the side.)
Second load of laundry is in the dryer.
I'm ready for a nap.
The service is almost written (just need to do the prayers of the people.) Then I need to write a sermon.

Tutee has gone to the restroom. We're getting ready to work on TOEFL speaking tasks.
I got all the must dos done before I left, except for planning. I'm hoping to leave here in a timely fashion to get to payroll to do some planning. Dh ended up prepping the ribs;
