I was upstairs until past nine p.m. last night when dh got home and I realized how late it was. I'm tired this morning, got up a little on the late side and I'm moving slowly. Tonight dh will be home so I'll have to stop working at a reasonable hour and cook dinner. I might suggest we go out tomorrow night? We're supposed to be up to sixty degrees today - I may try to grill chicken outside tonight, it's staying light longer and I might not be freezing going out there. It's been pitch black at dinner time and no way I'm going out in the dark to grill!

I'm getting together an instacart order. Not sure if that will be today or tomorrow. I think I'm good with waiting until tomorrow.

I'm going to try again on repotting that aloe. I think I got everyone talking about repotting and plant care yesterday and didn't follow through. It's a true antiprocrastination task - really needs to be done!

Into the shower now.

Like DS's hair, LadyM. But I'm sure you're right it may well be a once-in-a-lifetime event. :D Tell us again how tall this kid is and what size shoe he's wearing. I was trying to tell DD and forgot.

The 4 of us met for breakfast after DD's mammogram. Now she's gone to the eye Dr. She'd taken the day off for medical appointments. It's a schedule day that she doesn't care for. Plus she forgot there's a state-wide tornado drill right now. So for the sub: SURPRISE!

Good Morning!

I've completed 4 out of 5 morning routines.

DNephew is here to use DH welder on a couple pieces of pipe. DH is standing nearby with a bucket of water and water hose just in case any sparks happen. We are still under a burn ban because of drought. The snow last week brought welcome moisture, but it wasn't enough to end the drought/burn ban.

I need to do some serious anti-procrastination projects and tasks. I start feeling overwhelmed just thinking about them. I know that feeling will go away if I just get started on them.

We have an abundance of leftovers, so I won't be cooking today. We are having pulled pork sandwiches with church family this evening. I will help with the prep of that meal.

Homeschool is underway and making timely progress.

DS13 is 6'2" and wears size 16 shoes.

yesterday my ADHD took me down the anxiety road.
today I am so much more chill and happy. :D
paperwork, phone calls etc. tend to make me feel like I am not getting things done but I can see that getting that stuff off my brain has made today better! I got so much more done than I thought.

so far:
ordered foxglove and a planter from White flower farm - I honestly find them extremely expensive but I only ordered a couple things I can't find at the garden shop in spring.
I cut up flower catalogs to see I love to see what color palette I want this year. tossed all the remainder.

today: pick up at tar jay
I decided to order and pick up instead of going in.

first things first:
flip laundry
trash/donate/put away

write my dear aunts
water plants I missed on Monday.
measure wood floors for refinisher to give him/her an idea of what spaces we need done. take pictures.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Morning…

I’m still feeling puny and fell asleep again watching the news with my second cup of coffee in hand! That never ever happens.. got up took a shower, started a load of laundry and felt so tired that I headed back to bed even though I am dressed.

It’s cool out this morning so I decided to open up most of the windows throughout the house. Did that yesterday as well. Want to get rid of all the nasty air in the house and fill it with this fresh air. I still physically hurt from my flare up from my hernia, so I’m gonna take it easy again today. Figure I must of had a virus break through cause I never feel like this with just a head cold. My lungs are sore from my dry coughing but I don’t dare take anything because I’m afraid it will set off my stomach again. I do have some throat lozenges that help and I’m drinking tea with honey.

My master bed room has three windows that are open and it’s getting quite cold in here. Gonna close the door that leads to the main house and snuggle under the covers. I didn’t sleep very well last night and this is good sleeping conditions for me. Maybe that’s just what my body needs to recover.

Waving to y’all…

blessed ordered foxglove, wrote to her dear aunts, and looked through garden catalogs for pictures. How cool is her life.

Feel better, Ramblin'. Meant to remember to say that yesterday.

lucylee, I'm hoping your dh will consider a dr's trip. Hope he feels better. Glad to hear tests came out negative.

Twins', you didn't let ME down at all on the repotting thoughts. I looked up African Violet care and found a lot of warnings about hasty potting into larger containers, so I need to research. Seems they will stop blooming, not because they are unhealthy but because they send their efforts into root production.

Much more immediate for me is probably consulting the big garden center folks about the planters that are part of this house's architecture. If only I were a giant ( ;) ) I would scoop out most of the dirt and refill it myself with nice new loam, but i believe I would need some more muscle. Since first I would need some more expertise, and that expertise will surely come with salesmanship, I have a feeling this could be $$.

I was literally awakened in the night by skunk smell. I woke up thinking, ewww, these sheets need laundering... .. I hope he/she continues on in life. On and on and on in the same direction.

Today next-up I need to clean the small bathroom and do the extra dishes that have already managed to compile today.
I did get by the pharmacy yesterday but did not get by the bank.
TaDas have been kitty-potty spiffing, extra laundry, and recycling.
