Need to get to the grocery here, so I'm making out my list. Have an Italian dinner at church tomorrow so have to get supplies for that. Making raviolis for my Italian dish.

Went to trivia last night. Had 'loaded tater tots' for my dinner there. Wasn't easy for me I found out. Teeth feel some better this morning.

Going to get my breakfast and get myself moving.

Yikes! Just figured out that my cleanings have cost us almost $1,200! Oh well, it is what it is. Insurance did pay $124 of the $317 exam & x-ray bill. Think I'll go on cc and use some of my points for at least one of the visits for cleaning. Still thinking about calling our insurance broker and asking about the wisdom of dental insurance.

Busy day today, unfortunately. I really want to wrap up this generation I'm writing about but won't get a lot of time.

I'm doing dinner tonight for the family of the temple member (and member of our cemetery committee) that passed away recently. I'm making a veggie beef stew and challah. I'm going to pick up chicken tenders somewhere on the way to deliver the meal - the son is in his early twenties I think and has Downs syndrome - his aunt and two other family members are living at his father's home with him. The wife and mother passed away very tragically in a horrible accident probably over ten years ago. So the community is stepping up to help out - I think that temple members will be picking him up for services once we're comfortable with services in person again.

I'm having trouble focusing this a.m. since I'm not heading upstairs. I have sheets in the dryer already and need to start towels since I didn't get them done earlier in the week. And yesterday I forgot to double the meat for the stew so I needed to do another instacart order, and that will be here later. I added a couple of other things I "meant" to get to get free delivery. (To be honest, it didn't take much when I was already getting beef stew meat and deli turkey.)

So I'll do the cooking in the afternoon and this a.m. I need to do a few household things and take recycling over to drop off.

I probably need to shower next.

Dee, teeth are expensive!

Good Morning!

Yesterday afternoon I started feeling yucky, headache, sinus congestion and running a fever. I started gargling with salt water, took some Mucinex and vit c. Then I went to bed and slept for 11 hours. I was THRILLED when I woke up this morning with no fever or symptoms.

DMIL called DH 4 times during the night. I slept through 3 of the phone calls but heard the one at 5:30am. DMIL was letting DH know that she was ready to be picked up and go to her 10am MRI appt.

DS13 has left for work. I'm grateful when his boss volunteers to pick DS13 up from our home so I don't have to take him every time.

6 our of 6 morning routines are done well.

I'm taking a break and then will start on my part of team cleaning.

I've been lollygagging more than my share, but have s2s-ed and finished a.m. routine. I've gathered up paper to recycle and I'll get that in my car and head out in a minute.

Trying to back up my schedule for cooking this afternoon and figure out what time I need to have challah underway...

Cleaning lady has come and gone, so I have a sparkly house. Pest control also came by to deal with the ant traps. We are having leftovers for supper. I am just about to leave for stitching group.

Have fun, Cathy!

We didn't sleep well, got up and went to Hard ee's drive through at 7. Very unusual for us.

Our Misfit Market order came in at dd42's. I was over there getting 5 of my tools from the barn anyway, so we divvied up. All looks good.

Petted my grandpuppy and chatted with grandson number 3 (11? 12?) I'm a bad grandma not to keep up with each one's age!

Beautiful clear day here will find me digging!

Just had a nice chat (via telephone) with an old friend who is very dear but don't get to see her any more.

Just finished sprucing up the kitchen, emptied the dishwasher and started refilling it.

I was on 3 chats with our bank today trying to straighten out a login problem. Third time was a charm. Also was able to change our mailing address. Right now all that mail goes to our campground and the office manager forwards it all to us. Have a feeling though that soon we won't be able to have any mail going there as the new owners take over. The current owner has a big truck business out front of the campground and right now that's where dh's pay checks come through. Sure that's all going to change before long. At any rate I kept losing the 'chat person' whenever I tried to login with the new passwords they would give me. Finally think I have it.

Talked to my dentist's office and got my appointment changed from 2/28 to 3/7. I bit the bullet and signed up for the additional dental insurance to our health insurance policy. But it doesn't take effect until March 1st. Wish I'd done it last month -but who knows what it would cover as far as that $1,200 cleaning bill. It's an extra $40/month but at the rate I'm going I'm sure it'll be worth it. Tried our insurance broker but there's no answer there today. So I'll see what he says when he calls.

Think I should go exercise before dd gets home. Know she has to work at the local ice rink tonight. She's working her boss's son's birthday party there and I think they'll be using the rink.

Went out and recycled and picked up some cookies to take as dessert tonight. The bakery had a broken one so they gave it to me, that was my reward for getting out. I also went by the grocery. I had planned to make 1/2 this recipe for the two of us this weekend, but then decided to make it today to take for dinner. I hope it's a nice change from the spaghetti and heavier meals.

Anyway, I need to get the challah started, and then the soup.
