Got any successes to share from this week?
Mine as you all know are getting the new seats on in the bathrooms.
Now I am doing the great tool pupa mearation.
But first I need to rethink and organize them differently as I cannot even lift the small metal tool box in the back of the truck.
Granny duty today
Zoom Bible study.
I have started a groc. list for next week.
I am embarking on a new season more granny duty also spring count down for some mid range goals / and 90 day plan is developing.
I am thinking of fun things I did last spring and summer I can put on my calendar.

Saturday is a walk in the park
Lynlee said Thursday about her realization of plans in the Outdoor thread, "I dreamed a park into being in my yard. It needs more regular mowing, but it is out there waiting for me."
Must be the song "Saturday in the Park" that made me think of easy, breezy things being "a walk in the park", which is a better expression than "a cakewalk".
Hope your Saturday is easy, breezy, whether its happiness is found at a destination, or enjoying your own back yard!

Morning….
I had a very nasty migraine yesterday so I’m in recovery mode. I hoped we could explore a park near by yesterday, but thinking perhaps we could do it today, if not tomorrow.
The migraine really took a toll on my body, but think getting outside would do me a world of good. I also need to do a grocery run but that can wait till later.

Good Morning!
This morning DD10 and I are going to a class to learn how to loom. We will be making a baby cap. I'm not particularly interested in making baby caps but DD10 wants to learn how to loom, and this class seems like an effective way to get her started.

Re: Sat. Success
Been working on a 'new' daily task sheet for myself. Just need to shake it up a bit now and then to keep me interested. Right, Lady M?
I wrote on a post from the Polk County Sheriff's Dept today. The deputy I've often had therapy sessions with was honored this week as an officer of the year as well as a commendation. He had confronted a suspect last August 8th and asked if he had any weapons. Guy raised his shirt and showed a 'pipe'. Started to reach for it and the deputy grabbed it -it was a pipe bomb and Eric lost his 2 index fingers on his left hand. Whenever I fear something in my own recovery now, I think of Eric -he's my hero! Here is still doing rehab. He did return to work about 2 weeks ago and I'm glad for him that he was able to do that.
I have ravioli's cooking away in sauce in a slow cooker for our Italian dinner at church today -our Valentine's dinner. DD and dsonil were going to go. However dsonil 'forgot' and is going to Sarasota to Ringling Bros with a friend. DD had planned to go but they asked her at the Lakeland arena last night to work today. The gal who was supposed to work has Covid. She already was booked for a college game tonight. Must say her reputation precedes her. When teams and referees ask for her, you know her name is out there. And this time they were begging.
Last night she ran the clock for the owner's son's birthday. They had a 3 on 3 tournament. Even the coach from the Solar Bears was there and chatted with her. (His son was one of the guests). This was really SOME PARTY believe me! For both the kids and parents. Food galore, plus all the other things they put out money for. Certainly not in our price range!
When I went to the dentist on Thursday for the first time EVER I forgot to take my anitibiotic first. Told them as soon as I got there. I'm allergic to penicillin which of course they had. Receptionist finally found some Clindamycin which I have taken often. Strange thing was I remembered to take my yeast pill but never once thought of my antibiotic. Probably nothing would have happened if I didn't have it, but we don't want to chance it.
Better go check my ravioli.

Re: Sat. Success
I cleaned out the laundry room, decided which slacks to keep and which to donate. Changed some of the slacks in DH closet, saved some, put 4 more pairs in the donate bin. So the laundry room is done this week on the schedule. I guess this schedule runs Monday through Sunday, right? That's how I have it marked on my calendar.
And in my PARK / aka front yard... I worked in the Island under the 3 palm trees. This space is kidney shaped with concrete edging around and it is 22' long and 7 1/2" across except where it dips in for the kidney shape. It is full of amaryllis, which blooms orange blooms several times a year plus some bloom on and off other times. The frost got it and a lot of the greenery died and it was looking gnarly...so I cleaned all that out and it will keep growing and fill in again. We really need to dig out the bulbs and spread them out a bit...but that is a huge job and we've done it a couple times and they just spread and multiply... Can't wait to show Sunny what her bulbs did in my yard! We started with one little bucket of bulbs she gave us a dozen years ago.
DH brings in a couple blooms and puts in a vase in the kitchen. They do not live long once they're cut.
DH came back from his bike ride and we raked all the dead stuff up and he put it all on the burn pile. Boy I can't work like I used to. My arms and knees are sore.
Tomorrow is supposed to be gloomy and rainy. But today is beautiful and sunny. What's next???

Dh made his version of stew (it's very water-y, not in a gravy.) It's ready and smells good. It's a cold, boring day here. Not going anywhere near Niagara Falls this weekend. I feel bad for anyone going for a romantic weekend getaway because there are protests at ALL of the international bridges with the protesters most likely taking any available hotel and motel rooms and whatever B & B s are available. Most close for the off season.

Re: Sat. Success
good morning ! I woke up at 10:30 am - my goodness!
I had a text re: mom and the visitor my brother sent has caused a lot of problems for me. My mom is mad at me and the sister of my brothers wife is saying yes you are fine being independent and handling your meds etc. geesh! My mother is asking lots of questions and is angry at me so in turn got angry at dd but doesn't know why she is angry at dd - - well at least she has someone besides dd and I to complain to about us. I will have to talk to my brother after she leaves and tell him how detrimental it was for mom.
dd is calling again

Re: Sat. Success
Sigh. blessed, you are right that only the people who hear from her doctor and are close enough to fully understand should be telling her what things will be "fine" to do.
I am weary after hauling 4 big tarpaulin loads of leaves off. All I could fit in every time. So tired of that rake, but now anyone who comes to judge the needs of the planting beds. or bring dirt, can see where the septic tank is below ground and where the field is for it, so they won't drive on it. And we won't have any concerns about walking all around there and seeing our footing well.
Of course, this is close to the house on just one side, not all the yard. This shows me that as we move forward, I need to talk to ds about a mulching attachment for his zero-turn. The leaf raking here is another world of work, very different from what we're used to, with two oaks my age in the yard and other trees around, too.
My eye is bothering me after the raking. Hmmm... .. Eye drops "tears" time for me, I think. Another point of concern - I need to shoo HRH away from this chore so he doesn't risk problems with his hurt eye.
