Peace and shalom seem to be words that are now rightly on everyone's lips. I remember (a little of) a poem P and P quoted about how peace can start in the home.
It's the first Sunday in Lent, for those who observe. I've been remembering my daily journaling assignment I took on, about just one meaningful thing that happens to me each day. I find it difficult to try to be simple in observing. I always want to write down something I've done ABOUT the thing that spoke to me, as if I must rush to involve rather than just be inspired and hush. Maybe I will learn this lesson eventually.
Today is "Clean Up Australia Day", which reminds me of Lynlee's lovely, transformed yard. Wonder if she's been seeing lots of folks de-littering and so forth in her area.
Shalom on Sunday

Re: Shalom on Sunday
Morning Harriet and to the rest of y’all….
I find myself thanking my angels all day long when good things happening to me… even if it a green light shows up when needed or a prime parking space becomes available … that happened to me the other day when we were searching for a space in a packed parking lot. I look for small things to be thankful for every day though I seldom write them down. It helps to keep my soul balanced.
Today is an easy day for me. Need to wash and change my bedsheets. Also time spent enjoying my favorite Sunday morning show while drinking my coffee. I am really looking forward to my outside room in my new home which overlooks a beautiful lake that my home sits on.
I love a slow Sundays as it gives me time to review my past week and to preview what I need to do for the upcoming one.
This coming week:
Home inspection
Call Landlord abt roach extermination Ugh!!!
Make car appointment for gas gauge
Ants in your Pants….dancing with DGD at the library
Find a moving company and set up schedule
Emptying all my cabinets for exterminator
Buy packing paper
Pack much of what I take out of my cabinets.
Right now I’m going to have my second cup of coffee and to my nails, then it’s off to do my walking program and…
Today is the third day of record breaking high….88* I can handle that

Re: Shalom on Sunday
dd older made a soup (similar to the Olive Garden Zupa Toscana) delicious.
This is the daughter who would run from cooking. She is starting to cook and doing it very well. I am being spoiled until I find the dishes in the sink. (I saw the counters clean last night but in the middle of the night I heard the dogs in the sink...
A joyous day to all of you!!!!

Re: Shalom on Sunday
Morning reflections today were good for me helping me to know I have done quite a bit this week despite fighting a cold.
OMM ~Last night did some simple rounds getting tools put in the tool room to decide on later a better way to organize them than
on the floor of the dining room or kitchen. So down to one tool box in there now. That was out in the shop or rigs.
I cannot close it yet so that is the goal maybe not today but to get it off the kitchen floor will be SO helpful.
I did sweep last night before bed that felt like a victory to get to that area and behind where the tools boxes had been.
I need them to be so I can lift them easier.
Saw yet another tool box in there as well!
Plus doing that gave me some extra steps!
qt & journal x

Waving to all of you and wishing you peaceful day.
Closet week.

Re: Shalom on Sunday
hello again - dishes washed themselves
I went through all of dh's car brochures and realized it's not worth the work to try to sell them. I will send them to a car museum and they can do with it what they will.
I will send them tomorrow
years ago after sweet mom in law passed I wrote a fashion pattern museum and donated all of them - (it was inside a fashion design school in New York). I had written them and they were thrilled to get the ones they chose.

Re: Shalom on Sunday
Blessed - what a kindness to share those unique items with places that will treasure them and display for those interested! BWTG!
Church this morning was good, but the attendance was down. Maybe because our temp dropped 40 degrees from yesterday? It is raining (YEAH) cold and windy today.
I had planned to have DH birthday luncheon today but needed to postpone it until Tuesday evening so all 4 generations would attend. That meant I found myself without a meal plan for today. DH volunteered to pick up food from our favorite place. I keep our past orders to restaurants in Google Keep so it is easy to quickly confirm with each person their favorite meal before I call in the order. While in the city, DH will also take DS13 to get a new battery for a used ATV he bought this week. I don't understand DS13 desire to buy these used vehicles. I just see another set of wheels, motors, etc to be maintained and worked on. However, DS13 considers it to be a challenge and likes to team up with his friends to work on them. I suppose (hoping) he is learning from each experience. OHs well. Reminding myself to focus on the principal issues and not get bogged down in trivia.

Re: Shalom on Sunday
Well, how nice with that! We (dd, dh and I ) just got through with a pretty lengthy call with the bride and groom from yesterday. He felt bad that by the time he was able to get over to where we'd been we already had left. Said first thing he thought of this morning (uhhh....that probably shouldn't have been the first thing!) was us. So they called us and we chatted several minutes. Know the Bride's Dad said when he finally met us yesterday, "OH! You're 'Pops'! C is so excited that you all were going to be here.) Not going to get a chance to see them before dh goes north, especially with all that's going on right now.
Dsisil is doing somewhat better today. Their neighbor said she's actually up and actually being rather chipper. A lot is probably related to how hydrated she is. She's actually enjoying all the attention.
Dh and dd went to the hospital. Dbil had an MRI this morning but of course no results as yet. Need to call first thing tomorrow morning and cancel his 10:30am chiropractor appointment. Won't be going there anytime soon for sure.
Going to ride my exercycle for while. Sure didn't yesterday. I've had 2 'off' days so far this month. Need to get back on the stick.

Re: Shalom on Sunday
Checking in; On line service was good I could hear the music part today and yea they are having a Wed. a m meeting. Putting this here to remember.
An answer to prayer a day time one!
I have gotten 6 granny squares ready for the last round of dark color! I am excited bc the most I have done in one day. Yea!
Plus just putting away three things in the creativity room made a difference this week when I was in there did that.
So I am going to continue with that.
Got the last tool container out of the kitchen yea me!
I need a peg board or some thing different. Thinking on this.
Walked the ddog it was brisk out done before rain, sun is back out now.
