It's fifty degrees and cloudy here this a.m. with clouds all day it appears.

After being out around people again (eeeek!) we are going out again tonight. Dfriends texted yesterday about taking us out for dinner tomorrow night. She gave an array of option and I nearly just told her to tell me when and where but said I had "decision fatigue" and they should choose. And on top of that I need to run errands today. (Another eeeeek!) I need to pick up my new laptop, get groceries and pick up a script.) How long until the next COVID wave comes through and I can stay home again?

I moved my things into a spring purse yesterday.

I'm hoping for some upstairs time later....

Good morning, Twins'. Oh, two things in common this a.m. - I have to change to spring/summer purse and don't want to because it is cloth and will get dirty so much easier. And I know how you feel about going out among people and feeling less than comfortable.

blessed, after floor refinishing here, cleaning the walls, baseboards, closet shelves, window ledges, etc., etc. meant a fine pink dust. We have red oak, so the pink tinge might be specific to that variety of oak. Anyway, this dust settled over days, not immediately. I tried to work too soon and ended up having to go back over places that were just as dusty the next day. I had forgotten I left a stained-glass type framed window art piece (not "real" but sentimental) in the kitchen, lying flat on the counter, and was really mad at myself because even though it was not near the wood areas it was covered in the dust and very hard to clean afterward.

I don't mean to be discouraging! It was worth it to us to have it done. Just give yourself a break on believing you're going to be back "together" soon.

Yesterday I was finally able to get those prescriptions picked up. I'm becoming disillusioned with that pharmacy.

Our friend S was finally feeling well enough to visit and it was such a pretty day. He and HRH rode out on the golf cart and saw the new grandpuppy, also visited briefly with dstepson, who has known S a long time.

Today is extensive Desk Day with HRH.

Good Morning!

Yes, to fatigue from being around some crowds. I feel the drain of energy after being in crowds of strangers, especially when we go to the city. When friends or family surround me then I feel energized. I am wary of one crowd and welcoming of another. After 3 trips and 2 days spent in the city, I am feeling fatigued. I expect the fatigue will fade after a few hours spent in my own surroundings

We are having a beautiful weather day. I have taken 10 tomato plants outside to enjoy this weather. I will bring them back inside at sunset.

Those 35 bags of soil/compost are still in the back of the pickup. DH has volunteered to unload them into the side-by-side and bring them to the garden. I will be opening, dumping, and mixing the ingredients in wheelbarrow before adding them to the newest raised bed.

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone. We're still masked and vaccinations are "required" at temple for those able so I was wearing a mask there last night. It felt natural to wear it going out to run errands. I don't usually do it, but I'm not going out much either.

Some observations:

-first time in grocery store since December, I think, when I got groceries out while I was looking for COVID tests for New Years Eve
-there are some empty shelves in my Publix. I did read the other day that COVID lockdowns in China are disrupting supply chains
-COVID tests are plentiful now!

Dh has pouted a little over my new computer. He did not realize how expensive getting 16GB of memory would be. And he himself planned to use my old laptop, and I told him it's staying downstairs and the new one goes upstairs. I save things to Dropbox and Evernote so I can use both, and this keeps me from going up and down stairs with a laptop, phone, water and accouterments. He'll live.

I'm going to start setting it up.

CI ~ I am up and ok bs is good.
There is a luncheon at the Bible study leaders home I do not think I am well enough to go she is a cancer patient, I have a cough, and had various other symptoms the other day some tummy stuff but also some aches that are not normal for me. Sigh.

I was over town yesterday. I have been working on this yarn project got it to the " try on " stage more to do in making gr. sq. I may be 75% done. Thinking a poncho would have been easier to assemble. I did use clamp like clothes pins to see how many more I would need to make.

Bread had to go back in the oven this morning bummed that the bottom was not as brown as I wanted. But at least the place smells great.

Twins I remember pc issues with lh and was finally able to convince him to get his own chrome book we were sharing the one I had him having his own worked so much better he had the farm acct. to use for that back then.

I am considering myself retired now! dgd has not been here for two weeks and I am transitioning well.
Got more donations loaded I came across that I had forgotten about that were gathered in the dining room yea! *

I dumped and mixed ingredients to fill 4 wheelbarrow loads of compost/soil and spread it in the new raised bed. I am incredibly pleased with the mixture. I have ingredients to do 20 wheelbarrow loads of these ingredients so am 1/5 done. My arms were getting tired, so I am taking a break while I'm sipping a glass of tea and waiting for my IF time to be over.

Thinking out loud....I need a meal prepared in one hour but don't have a clue what I will be making. Hum...I have a rotisserie chicken on hand that needs to be used so will make it into chicken salad. Will there be enough? I might need to add some canned chicken to the rotisserie chicken to have enough....will have to see. Need to put some eggs on to boil....might as well do 14 egg and make the extra into deviled eggs. Get the food processor out and prep five more ingredients used in those dishes. Deciding what to fix seems harder than doing it.

d harriet thank you so much for the advice about the dust settling -You are not being discouraging at all - I find it extremely helpful!!! I have to admit I am worried about all the cleaning after the sanding etc.
I am considering not moving the furniture back in until two weeks later than I had planned so that I can clean the walls and baseboards.
I don't want to spend the money but I might need help.
I do want a more reddish oak but not cherry - that's too deep.

I am going to contact a painter to see how much it would be to remove the wallpaper in the upstairs bedrooms and put paint throughout the house. I don't think I can do it all at this point in my health and abilities.

I took out all the electronics and other things and the pictures without glass on it.

dh is saying he won't move his car out of the garage if we need the extra space - I just have to understand he will get cranky - I found a air b & b
near us that he can stay at when it comes time for the varnish. if he gets really cranky I will set it up earlier and he can use my car. I am okay sleeping in the 3 season room as long it's not below 40 in the 3 season room bc we have the dogs. I am used to roughing it - dh wasn't brought up outdoors etc. and he likes to be comfortable all the time - I can't blame him! dd older is going to a hotel near work when they do the varnish.

Hello, all! Just a quick post because I’m leaving soon. DH and I are going to the 4 pm Mass because he is running the computer for the livestream. (They livestream the 4, then it is available to be watched at any time on Sunday; when I was staying home, I watched it at 11 am, when DH went to church.) Tonight is girls’ night. One of the women said she’d drive all of us from this part of town. She was going to pick me up at home at 5, so I asked if she could pick me up from the church instead. We’re headed to a salt spa, then for Thai dinner. DH is ready to go, so off I skedaddle!
