April Fools PWYC
Sorry, no foolin' for me today, I've got stuff to get done!
Lucylee, quite alright on the grave marker. The important thing is to get it done so it can be remembered. You might want to look online at Find a Grave - it's a free site, and be sure there are entries there for your family. You can also connect them together, for instance, to parents and siblings. Just set up a a free account.
Yes, I wonder if your dh should get another shingles shot now, Harriet. I assume his immune system could handle it now and it would be worse to have it! I got both of mine, although there was more of a gap that there should have been between the two, due to shortages.
You had a lovely day with the park and the farm and the kids, LadyM. You must be having nice weather that's heading this way? Has the wind died down yet?
Waving to Dee and Nancy and RR!
bw2, hoping you slept well, whether home or hotel. I don't remember how long before you can move things back in? And how long will dh stay at hotel? BTW, you are on fire these days with your energy level!
Thinking of Cathy today with surgery. Hope she can update us at some point.

Re: April Fools PWYC
I need a trip out today.
Need to get to the library and get some groceries and mail a package but I'm not very together so far! Right now I need to get the house pulled together for dcleaning lady. It's not that bad but I do need to do it.
Dh and I didn't decide whether to go to services or not tonight for daunt who died two years ago. We had visited her in FL in Feb as the pandemic unfolded, and dh kept insisting we would go back for the funeral, and when it came it was all Zoom. Not even dh's cousin S, her son, was able to get there. She had cancer and didn't want anyone with her when she passed away, sadly. But we have a fill in for the rabbi tonight and I'm leaning toward not going. Does that mean I need to cook tho? I'm beginning to just hate it with a passion. Coming up with something day after day to cook and the kitchen drudgery.
Gotta get ready for dcleaning lady. Then I'll think some more.

Re: April Fools PWYC
Good Morning!
My day is off to a better start than yesterday. THANKFULLY! There is also a lot less on the schedule for today so hopefully I won't meet myself coming and going. Dh has a 9am doctor appt in the city to get diabetic shoes. We will do weekly team home cleaning hour this morning.
This weekend's plans are as firm as a big bowl of unset jello The only fact that I'm sure of is that DGS15 is racing nearby on Sunday. DS13 and DGS15 have been making plans for DGS15 to come a couple days before the race so they can have time together. DGS15 wants to come here as soon as he gets out of school today AND bring 2 of his teenage friends with him. DS48 has been in san francisco this week and flew home yesterday. Will DS48 be able to leave home with 3 teenagers & their bikes today for several days? DDIL and DGD11 will be at a horse competition in another state so they won't be making the trip here this time. ANYway, all this means that I might have 4 male bodies to feed, water and provide sleeping places tonight through Sunday. I'm sure it will work out even though I don't have a clue how.

LOL, LadyM, about your weekend plans. You just take it all in stride, I know!
We were down to one egg this morning, so I boiled it. I'm having strawberries with yogurt and walnuts, and a couple of slices of lean deli turkey to up the protein a bit. Probably should get more than the 1.5 dozen I usually get.
Dh's report yesterday is that the local NY deli isn't making chopped liver this year. So I need to figure out whether I want a trip to ATL to pick up or just want to go with the faux chopped liver - one Passover attendee (the hostess) is vegan so I thought I might make some anyway. I am assigned horseradish, fruit for dessert, green salad and chopped liver
Dcleaning lady is here, doing her magic while I eat breakfast.
Dh "reminded" me last night that he is auctioneer on Saturday night for an event. Not on the calendar but "he told me about it." I don't have to go. And he's going to a funeral in the middle of the day tomorrow for the client. So maybe we'll do something on Sunday?

Re: April Fools PWYC
Yesterday's gravesite service was long because it was done in Primitive Baptist style. Their church services usually last 3-4 hours so "only" having an hour service was considered short by them.
We spent time with DH extended family hearing the astounding tales of when the tornado directly hit their town last week. It is a town of 4k and the tornado destroyed 67 homes, the school (with all the children inside!!) and many businesses. The astounding amazing part is that no one was killed. One cousin put their 2 dogs in the bathtub and laid on top of them. The roof came off his home and then a big tree was pulled out of the ground and laid directly on top of the bathtub they were in. That big tree protected them from all the flying debris. Their home was gone but they all walked away from it with no injuries. Another cousin told me how her home was damaged but mostly made it through (about 100K of damage). She had her invalid mother with her so couldn't seek shelter. They went to an interior room with no windows. She said when the tornado hit the pressure on their ears was horrible but once the tornado broke windows in the house then the pressure instantly reduced. One wall of her home was cut horizontally in two but otherwise her home stood firm with them inside it.

Re: April Fools PWYC
WOW!, Lady M, just WOW!
Been trying non-stop for nearly 45 minutes to charge my fitbit. Finally gave up on it and ordered new chargers. Hopefully that's the answer. I did exercise for 1/2 hour and then tried charging it again to no avail. So now I guess I'll exercise some more before it become lunch time.
Need to text dh to remind him to stop by W algreens for my antibiotic (for dentist visit next Wed -won't really matter what day he gets it before then.) I hate taking an antibiotic -my body does not react well to them. I do have an extra 4 pills and maybe even have 2 extras. At least I have them if we don't get a script in time. Have to take 4 (500mg each) before a dental procedure of any kind. That's a lot of antibiotic.
Dsonil is home -he actually had a hair cut. But, he went to breakfast first. I have a hard time imagining going to breakfast alone but then that's me. His friend who cuts hair comes and goes on a whim and he's tried 3 times to get his hair cut and she's either been 'held up' longer than she expected (much longer) or isn't even there. He kept trying to get it cut before they went to Bermuda and it didn't happen. Guess she called him yesterday to see about getting it cut and he decided to 'give her one more try'.
Okay, back to my exercycle.

DH is home from doctor appt. All test results are excellent. The doctor has a shoe company person on site to measure foot and show diabetic shoe options. The shoes don't look any different from "normal" shoes, so I don't know why they are considered special. Ohs well. This is something the doctor recommends, and Medicare pays for the shoes.
Weekly hour of team home cleaning turned into two hours, but the extra accomplishments were worth the extra effort. Both kids bedrooms and bathrooms received much needed decluttering, organization, and deep cleaning.
I need a break so am going to sit with my feet up a bit. I am going to work on creating some plans for April. April Menu plan....template for April daily journaling..... April calendar and ???

I'm back from library and getting some groceries. I stopped off at the Publix between downtown and home - nothing changed there, it is always crazy busy. It gets on my last nerve! Otherwise a good trip out. If I'm cooking our supper tonight I'll do salmon and roasted brussel sprouts in the oven.
My house is clean! So nice!
Glad Lord Maverick is well and that your family survived the tornado. What a scary experience.
Nancy, about the same weather for us, tho the car was hot sitting in the sun!
Dee does anyone else have a charger you could borrow? Does your Fitbit have an internal battery that needs changing?

Re: April Fools PWYC
April planning is done.
I have a menu plan for the entire month! I can't say it is a great plan but changing it is much easier (to me) than starting with no ideas or clue.
Monthly calendar has been created and printed. I also did the daily schedule for the month that I use in OneNote. Both calendar & schedule are created using WinCalendar that pulls the data from Google calendar into a spreadsheet.
OneNote Daily journal page template is created. I have a general template that I like using but I update it monthly with different gifs and color schemes.
The new rabbit cage was just delivered. The carton is heavy and requires both DS13 and DH to move it. DH will put it together when he gets back from checking on his DMom.
I took the kids to a local BBQ place for their lunch. DH and I opted to eat at home.
