Post by Nancy »

What is on your Sat. schedule this week?
It is raining I "saved" some inside stuff for today.
Got the trash out emptied the vacuum container.
Made bfast.
Worked on some crochet squares trying to get the blocks attached.
Put away some other ones.
Decluttered more books and have them rounded up to load later when it is daylite out.
Daily's are up in a bit.
Went back to bed for a bit.
Rain has stopped sun might be coming out in a bit.

Good Morning!

Nancy- Thank you for the start this morning.

My morning started early with DS48 and DGS15. They have loaded bikes and left to get registered and ride the race trails to get familiar with the lay of the land. We stayed up late last night talking so fitbit informed me I was short of my regular sleep. #WorthIt

I have nothing that needs to be done today. All of the laundry is done, other than what is in the washing machine getting washed tight now. All dishes are done and put away. House is very tidy. I worked at cleaning/clearing/tidying/organizing every day last week from the time that the cleaning lady left on Friday morning until I left the house yesterday morning.

I found out that there is a craft show nearby that starts at 10, so I am going there. Partly to see what this new "craft guild" has and who is part of it. I saw stuff on FBook when they started forming as a "craft guild" a few years ago. If I like the vibe, I might ask to join up with them. (Depends on where/when/who... etc.)

Pasta for supper tonight. Pesto for dh, a jar of red sauce of some sort for me.

The OR in this hospital closes at 5 every week day apparently. They have an ER, but only do scheduled surgeries at the moment due to Covid. My dental surgeon is only scheduled for this hospital once a month. There are 4 or 5 small hospitals in the city we went to. They have a famous children's hospital and a famous cancer hospital as well as the one I was at and another that I am sure of... but for some reason I think they have 5 altogether. This city is the same size of population as the city I lived in for 40 years and that city only had 1 hospital. (600,000.)

Cathy, I am so sorry your surgery got cancelled. You must feel really let down after getting ready for it. I hope you can get rescheduled quickly.

Neighbor across the street fell yesterday at the playground with her grandkids and broke her shoulder and knee. I am feeling for her. She was seen at hospital I guess after the fall, but had to go back last night via ambulance. Dh helped get her back in the house later in a wheelchair. Right now her daughter from ATL and two littles are there. I'll take a meal over later this week...

Dh got up and went to Torah study, I was up just before eight a.m. I need to get myself rolling. I just refilled the coffee pods - I'd been waiting all week to do that since we have new boxes. Wanted to use up all of old, or at least put them on top of bin so they would be used first.

Dh wanted a fire last night - it was really too cool for me but I persevered. I was so cold when I came in that I put on pajamas and went straight to bed. Need to get the smoke out of my hair this morning!

Gotta get moving, need to pry my bottom up! Where's the BGS?

Good morning to everyone!

Monthly threads are up around the village for encouragement :) , inspiration  , and the all-important space to complain :!:

Twins' must be sleeping in. ;) (sorry, I couldn't resist. She has been carrying a starter's watch for a while, much appreciated)

I slept so well last night and don't know why. Sigh. If it happens, I sure want to know what I was doing right! I have a few theories.

Looking for a package delivery today that will include a birthday present for the party today, for which I'd rather NOT have to make excuses! (extra sigh) It's today or it's definitely late.

HRH ordered a lovely antique music box for dgdC's upcoming birthday from et sy and we believe it will be late. We were only going to have one to explain and now it looks like two. We'll be getting a reputation!

Next up, I want my brunch of a greens smoothie like RunKitty often enjoys. A heavy Mexican meal will happen at the bday party - with homemade cake I must compliment! - and I don't want to overdo it before then.

Acccck! There's Twin's already so I'm caught teasing her. Hoping the neighbor's injury mends quickly.

Well I was suppose to attend my dgd's birthday party today, but had a bad day yesterday and thought better of it. Talked to my son and Sweetie and I will go over to their house on the 6th which is actually my dgd's birthday.

Yesterday my upper body just hurt...felt like all the nerves were just firing off at the same time so I just sat still and didn't move, but I wasn't itchy. Today I am itchy and am so over this. At least I'm not hurting like I was yesterday. There are people coming over tomorrow to look at the house we are renting. Its in good shape and I have no desire to gussy it up for them.

Set up all the coverage for the electric, water and internet yesterday. Can't get the water turned on until we go to city hall and show them our closing papers. Weird but that's how they do it in Lee Co. Don't know if its the same for Harmony or Dee. The outside watering system is not working and the trees are beginning to look droopy. Suppose to possible rain tonight, but looking at my weather radar, it looks like it may skip us. The system needs t drop down a bit farther south for if to effect us. However I watered 7 trees by hand giving each tree at least 10 gallons of water plus some Miracle Grow. Also watered all the landscaping bushes.

I moved from the desert where we were in a drought to the wet lands of FL and they are also experiencing drought conditions. Anyway I know the trees were thankful for a long drink. My Papaya tree dropped three papayas on the ground. Never eaten them fresh like that, but will give one a go in a while.
