We're having April showers today - LadyM mentioned rain yesterday too so I know some of us are seeing rain.
Cathy, I'm glad you got back to knitting finally, after two years! I don't remember if you've been knitting on your own? Dfriend M's knitting place had to go out of business - they had several knitting groups going.
Lucylee, you have been busy! Online orders, IRS checks, family phone calls, bathrooms, chiropractor! IKWYM about cooking tho. I'm just over it.
I'm so sorry Harriet's nursery trip ww d23 was impeded by the cart. There was a nursery like that on the mountain where we used to live. Sometimes I'd just go there to walk through because it was all so lovely and pleasant.
Reading group, LadyM? You have limitless energy! And your garden sounds like it's going gangbusters with asparagus ready now.
Community prayer time does sound interesting Nancy - did someone forget? And you've done an amazing job getting exercise by doing yard chores.
Oooh, Mystery, working with DC on their room? That would have just been a never ending job here, good luck going in! Glad to see you checking in!
Dee, it sounds like you had a soaker of a rain too. I hope you guys can get dsil moving. Maybe he'll find a job if he thinks that would be easier than the "Honey DO" list?

I was going to be so smart and get here early and the computer started making a bad noise. HRH has it fixed now but is still in there fussing at other inappropriate things it is doing or not doing.
We had a plan to go out on errands this am. I'm almost scared to mention it... ..
Twins' you are so right about rain. We are to expect nearly 100 percent chance by 5. That's one reason I really wanted to get to errands... ..
However listening to the talking-to that the computer is getting.
The better part of valor!

Morning…
Well my shingles got in my way yesterday so I had to adjust what I was doing. Did empty out all the banker boxes in the closets and set them up in the garage. Went through all my saved packing boxes that were collapsed and storaged on my porch and organized them according to size.
Went through all my still packed boxes in the garage and organized them as well. Some are half opened so I needed to see what was in them. Retaped them so they are ready to move. Took down all the decorations of my kitchen cabinets and found the original boxes I had used to packs them in so today will start packing them
Emptied the entertainment center and packed that up. Yesterday my arms started hurting so I was forced to rest. Just finished my coffee and want to get a good start going this morning in hopes I can muscle myself through the day.
Waving to y’all…

Re: April Showers Tuesday PWYC
Looks like we're to get some too. Yesterday had really bad storms south of us with half-dollar sized hail. We're having April showers today
This made me laugh, Harriet -I can just hear HRH!listening to the talking-to that the computer is getting.
I'll remind dd to just keep piling it on then. She texted him a list a couple of days ago and he said, "What is THIS?" But it did get him out doing a little bit yesterday. She was sure to let him know she noticed. We'll see what today brings.Maybe he'll find a job if he thinks that would be easier than the "Honey DO" list?
Dh has gone to the hospital. Guess dbil's niece and the other 'caretaker (AKA their neighbor)' are supposed to go to the hospital tomorrow I think for a class on caring for him at home. Neighbor is a nurse and niece has probably had almost 30 years experience with their very handicapped daughter. So they probably know what needs to be done -plus taking care of dsisil for months.
Have a LOL going. Dh brought home a few things belonging to dbil and wanted to get those done. Plus that will pretty well do up dh's laundry. Might have to do a smaller load this weekend for any last minute things to pack for him.
Have an appointment at 2 to get my hair cut and possibly permed. Better get on to breakfast now though.
Happy 'muscling', RR. Be careful of those boxes that were opened btw. DD is always warning of cardboard storage here. Know that's needed right now.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Re: April Showers Tuesday PWYC
Dh is bowling tonight and leaving town tomorrow for the Masters. I am so ready for some alone time - and time when I don't need to cook!
I'm planning a trip to the State library next week - probably stay overnight one night so I have two days there. I'm trying to make a comprehensive list of what I still need to look up and find. Deeds after 1931, some birth certificates that are available, some miscellaneous things.
Ok, I am peeling my bottom up now and moving!
I left this sitting here....
Later:
I took over a lasagne from the freezer for neighbors across the street and visited a few minutes. And I'm having brunch now.

I don't knit any more. I tried it a couple of years ago but I enjoy cross stitching more. Most of the others either knit or crochet. I've noticed that there is at least 1 woman in each group that just joins us for the company. I could call them all what they truly are, and that is "Sit and yack" groups. There are many widows in every group, so they join for the pleasure of having others to talk to.
Heading out to do errands soon. Banking and Cost co for 2 prescriptions.
Emptied the dishwasher, so now I need to refill it.
Dh wants chicken wings to go with his asparagus tonight.

Re: April Showers Tuesday PWYC
It is noon and I'm ready to sit down and take a break.
I was up 30 minutes before the alarm went off and have stayed focused and productive since then. Homeschool was done well. I've made 4 trips out of the house to provide kid uber service. 6 routines are done well. I made a big pan of enchiladas and have them baking now.
Now that I have all the must-do's accomplished I can decide how to spend the rest of my day.

Ramblin', I hope you have better and better days and these interruptions are over soon.
Errands did happen.
I'll post in the Outdoor thread about the experiences with plant shopping. Mostly differences in quality of care by different nursery outlets but also quality of identical trademarked plants in the first place from their very distributors. It's interesting.
We were able to get out and take the truck for inspection. Looks like we'll just have to be without it for a while. Don't see a way to get two people back out there for several days. For one thing, the deluge. For another, my own work at dd42's house.
We then went to Home Depot home improvement place where HRH went through the wood products and bought dowels for my cabinet project, for one thing. I, of course, went through the flowers!
I had a scare on the way. I was following HRH, who was driving the truck, but I didn't leave right away since I knew it would take him a while to get waited on, etc. On a curvy road, a police car had everyone turning back. I couldn't see what was up ahead because of a curve, just distant lights. I couldn't think of any explanation except a wreck not long before I came through. gasp. Such a long drive to go around by other roads. By the time I arrived I was having a time holding my imagination in check! But thank goodness I could juuuuust see the tailgate of our truck in the long entrance bay. Whew!
Those who might have been glancing at the parking lot, or people-watching if bored, must have raised their eyebrows at this rather mature (slightly mature) woman grabbing a gray-bearded man when he walked out of that place! I told him I was so glad to see him and he said he knew every thought I'd had but had no way to call and tell me anything. He had actually passed me going the other way, but of course I didn't have a clue that I should be looking for him - never noticed. He famously carries no cell phone since a previous workplace abused them, keeping managers from having down time. We may need to rethink that!
Kind of a bad note in the mail today. A property not far from us being developed. Looks like there will be a good bit of disruption.

CI on phone bc dh has Braves game sooo loud on the computer! So — can’t reply to all, but yes — raining here too. Not at this moment, but it has been and will be. Probably going to have more storms tomorrow.
I have followed the first two of my rules and 5 min on task was actually 16 minutes! That’s how long it took to dust the den and hallways. Lots of bookshelves with lots of pictures on them.
Also texted dfriend whose daughter left the family. The daughter’s birthday is today.
