Re: Wednesday PWYC
Had a really good night's sleep last night. Yay!
Talked briefly with dh this morning -he has the day off and was on his way to get breakfast, go to DS-A's and on to try to get his toenails cut (again -he went yesterday afternoon & for some reason they were closed.) Know it's snowing up there. He said Buffalo actually set a record for their 1.2" for snowfall on this date. Hopefully it will start warming up there soon.
At least I know what we're doing for dinner. Have a lot of leftover Shepherd's pie from Monday. Tomorrow night will be Trivia and we usually have gift certificates (from winnings) there so will eat there.
Making a l**t of things I absolutely have to accomplish within the next week or two. One will be to make an appointment for this tooth pull. Not looking forward to that. But hopefully that will be it for a while. Though my teeth (from my fall at Ikea) are still giving me fits and he's just watching those. Figured by now (20 weeks post fall) they'd be healed....not so.
Time for breakfast so off I go.

Re: Wednesday PWYC
Morning….
The migraine monster hit me during the night so I am spending time with Perry this morning. I have 8 seasons to get through and I am on number 3. I’m skipping the episodes I e already seen, sometimes more than once.
While growing up, I wasn’t allowed to watch tv at night during the week when I was in school. That meant I missed many shows kids my age grew up with. However Perry came on either on Friday or Saturday’s night. The casting director and producer used many famous people either at the beginning or end of their careers so it’s fun to figure out who they are.
First time I ever saw Robert Redford was as a young man on the show. Many actors had their start on radio shows which I listen to at night when I can’t sleep. One recurring actress that shows up is “Kathrine” from the Young and the Restless and another is Alice from Days of Our lives.
Because of Nancy Drew and Perry I learned to read and love a good mystery.

Re: Wednesday PWYC
LadyM, thanks for posting again last night about dd. I hope you can get to the bottom of the anger and figure out what's going on. There's anger there that hasn't been there, or that she has had under control until recently.
I have a pedicure today and need to make the trip to Tarjay that I put off yesterday. I was slow getting up this a.m. although I originally woke up before the alarm at seven a.m. What's with that?
I am going to try to run the errands before the pedicure to leave the afternoon free. I'll cook tonight and we'll go out tomorrow night.
Thanks for the reminder Dee.
RR, hope you can successfully fend off that migraine monster!

Good Morning!
I am thankful for new day and a fresh start.
I slept in an extra 30 minutes because we aren't going to public school today. I have both kids up and going. I will be homeschooling both today. DD10 will do the same subjects as DS13 but at 5th grade level. I've been mentally running through the curriculum options to use with DD10. I have a quickly developed plan and I think that will be good enough since it is short term.

Re: Wednesday PWYC
Finally decided I need to see the doctor. Up all night — even after taking NyQuil at midnight, then Tessalon Perles (Sp?) cough capsules and chlortabs at 5:00 a.m.
Propped up on 3 pillows and still choking when I lay my head down. Coughing is painful in chest and throat, sinus drainage is bothering me… I'm just miserable.
Have not taken temperature.
So im in the parking lot now. When I got here there was only one car in the parking lot, but now 3 more people have gone in. Guess I better go on. 15 min till appt time.

(((LucyLee))) I hope you get a diagnosis, and the treatment is swift and effective.
Our morning is progressing smoothly. It makes my heart happy that when one child is struggling the other one comes to his/her aid and to give support. I hope DS13 and DD10 always have this type of relationship.
The school called and said the letter I requested is ready to pick up. I am using the school letter for the second ID to prove who DD10 is for SS office. The SS has many rules for the multiple ID's required. The ID's must be this or that and cannot be that or this. I'm just following along their bouncing ball and crossing all the t's and dotting the i's as required. I am super excited to be 48 hours away from getting this long-drawn-out process finished.
DH is taking his DMom to do her weekly grocery shopping. I texted him the 3 things that we need, and he will pick them up at the same time.
I made tuna salad using 4 cans and 7 eggs. The chances for this to be enough to have leftovers is slim and none.

Re: Wednesday PWYC
I was wondering "why"? and then went back and read, Lady M. I agree with all our friends here. Hoping you can get to the root problem soon (for all your sakes). Not easy raising tweens these days (or ever probably). And especially when it's your 2nd family -you'd think we'd have learned everything there is to learn early on -sorry, doesn't work that way I'm afraid.
I had two receptacles ready to go to the recycling bin and dsonil intercepted me. Asked him when he came back in "How much room is there in the recycling bin?" Answer: "I don't know I just dumped them in the trash can."
By that time I had the recycling can from the kitchen ready to go and some cardboard boxes. He took them out (and supposedly in the recycling bin -SHE says hopefully). He did say on his way out -"You do realize that once you guys go north it'll all go in the trash can". Yeah, unfortunately we do realize that. As it is they're now (after a month or so hiatus) are only picking up recycling every other week. He's always hated recycling and as it is they no longer will take any styrofoam, glass, or plastic. What's left? I think just cans, cardboard and paper. We have probably recycled for over 50 years so it's hard not to. Dsonil is very happy that he rarely puts anything in recycling but dd and we do. He'll probably be so glad to see me go for a few months and dd for that matter. He'll live life just as he wants -which is doing practically nothing. DD was thinking about hiring someone to mow their lawn for the summer months -but I'm sure dsonil will be here all summer. Oh well.....at least he lets her have her time with family up north.
