Looks like rain here too, Nancy.

Dh and I are both still doing a lot of coughing and everything, but I think we are going to manage to go with ds to a music show.
Tomorrow is another day.

We are partly cloudy here, but we're not in any particular need of rain.

Just got back from taking a box of papers to the community shred day. I spent some time this morning quickly going through the stack of medical papers I'd accumulated to pull out the pages I won't file -- largely the prescription warning and contraindication sheets that have our names printed at the top. I really ought to file the rest of the stuff....

But first I'm going to play the video game we got from the library this week. It's only fair because we got it out on my card. Video games can't be renewed, and DC was pretty sure there's a one-week wait before you can take a video game out on the same card. I'm tempted to get the game for them for their birthday, but it might be kind of presumptuous; the game runs on DD's console, which we have with us right now b/c DD did not want the distraction around while she finished her BFA project.

DD presents her project on Monday. The presentations are closed to anyone not from the school, so we won't get to see. Graduation is on the 13th. I'm not sure which of is is the more incredulous that DD is going to be entering the adult world, she or I.

lucylee, I'm glad I asked about the price -- so I don't drop my teeth later! I'd have been wondering, too, if the $550 included parts and labor. But you're right, it really is a bit of a specialty these days, and I'd rather pay than have DH climbing on the house. He climbs higher doing the high ropes course with the Scouts, but that's with a harness and safety line. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Our rain is coming in overnight. It's needed here, we haven't had much rain and our sprinkler system for the year isn't up and running yet. It's supposed to be fixed this week. Our backflow inspection for the neighborhood is on Monday so we'll have to skip and hopefully pass on the reinspection day.

I was still in bed, halfway asleep when dh got back home at 11:45. He went to Torah study, then to a Rotary project where they we already done. I was tired last night, in to bed at 10:30 after guests left. We had a really nice evening - ended up cooling down enough that dh made a fire outside and we had a bit of a sunset.

I'm exhausted today. DH is pacing around asking what I want to do today and the answer is "Nothing." I told him I might take a nap.

I am having a slower day here. It is nice to not have to be in constant monitoring and/or GO mode all day long.

DD10 is spending the afternoon/night with DD45. DGS13 is working this afternoon. DH is with his DMom.

I don't do the monitoring mode anymore, but I'm loving the quiet day. Dh has taken his convertible out for a drive in the sunshine. I've read some, and worked a little. Dh did a lot of the clean up for me. I stripped the DR tablecloth and the tablecloth from a serving table outside and put them in the washer. The DR and screened porch are back to usual set up. I need to wipe down kitchen counters and breakfast bar and put away things, and put breakfast table and dh's whiskey bar back to usual set up. Will read a bit more before it start that.

hello there!

hi d twins!
hi d lady!
hi d mystery!
HI d Lucy!
Hi d Nancy and thank you for starting us!

it's very wet here as well.

today has been a struggle day for me - I think I have too many directions that I want to work on. dh has been a little cranky the last couple days but I have to let him sit in it. His meds were 5 days late - he got them yesterday but still had some left over - he needs to muddle over this until it is out of his system.

I have had struggles with my brother/uncle making a decision re: my mom without talking to me. It's really a bad thing. So staying calm and will talk to him when he returns back.

okay - time to change to a positive attitude and move forward.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Did a store run early as the Rx part opened.
Went to Joann's.
Came home for a quick lunch.
Went to an estate sale and a yard sale.
Had a couple of phone calls.
Walked.
