Good morning Harriet! Thanks for starting us out today! My adventure is working upstairs, body work at three (get rid of this ache in my hip and back!) and dinner at the "River" with friends tonight. This is the couple going to the beach with us Sunday thru Thursday of next week.

Gotta get busy!

Good Morning!

Harriet - Thanks for the start.

My day is off to a good start. After dropping DD10 off at school I took a quick tour of our small town to check for storm damage. I didn't find any damage other than the areas that always flood. There were dozens of tornadoes last night but thankfully none of them were near me. The storms came in waves with the total time being about 10 hours. (5pm to 3am) We received 3" of rain during that time. #Thankful

We have five medical appts today. DH meets with the family doctor this morning to discuss the results of his recent heart test. This afternoon all 4 of us have our bi-annual dentist checkups and teeth cleanings.
Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.

I'm not feeling too adventurous this morning but definitely better than yesterday. I need to get my ducks in a row and figure out what I REALLY have to get done before going north in 3 weeks. Yikes -it's coming at me fast.

DD has an appointment with the school board/workmen's comp Dr after school today. Tomorrow she works her 'fun job' in Tampa so won't be seeing her much till Saturday. I do know that dbil called her yesterday and asked her to come over for about an hour and a half or so to talk -so her only time was Saturday. Know he's trying to figure all those 'final' things out and she's probably the best one to help him.

Still doing a very soft/liquid diet. Coupled with the tummy issues I had yesterday I've really lost weight this week -if only it would stay off. :roll:

DD is speaking in church on Sunday, along with another woman from our church.

I'm going off to the adventure of making out some 'work sheets'.

Dee, I'm glad you're a little better than yesterday. I bet it was the antibiotics that upset your tummy. Might pick up some probiotics in the next couple of days to replenish some of that good bacteria.

And I'm happy that storms weren't near LadyM. That is a long period of storms! Did you guys sleep?

We have the stormy weather coming in overnight. I walked earlier and it was nice and cool. Met dfriend M walking R uby so walked some extra with her.

Last night the evening with dh's clients/friends was okay. Tonight we're seeing friends that are going to the beach with us on Sunday so I know I'm going to be "Peopled" out. I'm not accepting any additional social engagements! We'll have people with us at the beach for four days.

Heading upstairs now...

Example of "pro biotics", Twins? I might already have some but have to check. My Dr up home prescribed the "one-time anti yeast pill" and I've taken that this morning. I now have a week's worth of antibiotic to take while they work at clearing out any leftover infection. He did quite a bit of scraping yesterday to hopefully rid me of most of it. (The root was infected and definitely not good for heart health. He's also discovered infection in the root of my one wisdom tooth which he pulled in late March. That one was a 'piece of cake' and I expected as much from this one. Not the case, though my pain is much better level today.) I'm already feeling the (female) effects of being on an antibiotic. Hoping the one-time pill kicks in soon. Dentist won't prescribe it so I have to have my Dr up north phone it in for me -thank goodness.

I'm sleepy today. Slept fairly well last night but awoke often but drifted off to sleep except for once during the night.

Dee, might ck with your doc or dentist about taking a probiotic while you're still taking an antibiotic. Sometimes it's not recommended, but Drugs.com says it's generally okay. https://www.drugs.com/medical-answers/p ... s-3121702/

Here's examples of probiotics at CVS: https://www.cvs.com/shop/health-medicin ... probiotics

(((Dee))) I am so sorry you are having so much trouble this time. My dmom has had problems with the female effects of antibiotics, too. I guess we all have! But fortunately, this z-pack didn't cause me anything like that, but it basically did nothing.

HOWEVER -- I think I may live, after all. ;)
I've been to the post office, corrected an order on a-river, started the last load of laundry for the week, washed dishes that have sat in the sink since Sunday, and swept the kitchen floor.
I'm still coughing, but it appears clearer now, if you know what I mean.

DH also slept better last night for a change. He was awake a few times that I know, but it was a better night for both of us.

Oh, blessed, I know you have had others doing a lot of the heavy work... but I still am amazed at how much you've brought together in a fairly short time! I just can't get dh to take on ANYTHING like that around here... and believe me, there's a LOT that needs doing.

I did get the bill from the antenna man today... btw -- it was $940 and some cents, Mystery.
Also need to write a check to the pool association today. $225, yearly dues for senior citizens. We never use it, but I hope dgrands will get to enjoy it some.

Sooo glad LadyM & family are okay! I saw some storm coverage on the news last night.
Twins, storms are supposed to be here around 8:00 pm.

DGS has a ballgame at 5:30 so I hope they will be finished before it starts. (They only play 90 minutes. It's unusual for us to go 4 innings. In our last game, our little pitchers walked in 6 runs before they got three outs, and then the other team did the same thing. Since it was lightning, the umps let it end at a 6-6 tie, which was definitely a moral victory for us, LOL! DGS has been on base by walks a few times, and has actually scored a run, but bless his heart, he has yet to actually get the bat on the ball in a real game. Of course, he is not the only one on his team with this problem. It's really hard for these little boys in their first year of having other little boys pitching to them.)

I went to the post office without putting on any make-up... I look horrible... and of course, ran into two people I know. :roll:
The remainder of my parade of adventures will be --
* Bible reading & prayer time
* Put on make-up
* Hang laundry to dry
* Pick up dgs at school (possibly) Editing to say I did not have to do this; ds/ddil got home in time.
* DGS ballgame
