Re: Simple Saturday PWYC
I'm keeping it simple this a.m. I slept in until around nine, and am drinking my coffee. Dh has gone to Torah study.
We had a good time with friends over last night. Ended up eating on the screened porch - was a perfect evening out there.
I as pretty put out with dh in the afternoon - we went off to Costco the same time I went to Publix. He was gone maybe three hours. It's a twenty to twenty-five minute drive there - said he ran into someone he knew and talked a long time. By the time he got home I had done all the advance prep. It rankles me that he wants to invite people over, but then doesn't think about how things get done. And he's wanting to have others friends over on Tuesday night. I'm going to tell him that perhaps we need to push it off until we get home again. I'm tired of entertaining. In his defense, he does do a lot of the clean up, but still.
He's suggested we go to the AA baseball game tonight. I told him no originally yesterday (in my anger) but maybe we'll go. I was exhausted yesterday and peopled out by the time I had lunch out, went to two grocery stores and did prep for dinner. I'm not used to it, and with my weight my back was hurting.

Tomorrow is another day.

Re: Simple Saturday PWYC
Hello to everybody this quiet Saturday. Have fun today, Lucylee.
Blessed, I was sorry to read about your DD's fall the other day. Is she doing ok now?
Reading all the church cleaning LadyM did made me tired. I should not complain about what I have to do around here. I do not have to drag around a 100' extension cord! Now I'm wondering, who cleans ours? We do have a janitor and a couple helpers.
Did Dee travel Friday or is she going today? I will be happy to hear she's made it ok.
Slept in and think I got caught up a bit. Last evening we were looking at my genealogy book I'd made and I fixed a couple mistakes I'd found. Nice to have Sunny's input.
Got a bill and a birthday card into the mail first thing today. Last several times I was near a place to get cards I've gotten stocked up. Recently cousin's birthday came up and we were able to get cards out in time because I had them here at the house.
Yesterday I got up raring to go and got a very large LOL done and several things done early. Hit that "wall" and didn't feel so great later on...so I'm glad I got caught up this morning on my sleep somewhat. A bit embarrassing to get up and entire household had been up and at-em for a while. Well, we all need a bit of extra rest, don't we?!

Re: Simple Saturday PWYC
Good Morning!
What a joy to come here and read the things happening in the SHE village.
I have been doing lots of research this morning for several different things. Somethings I enjoy researching and learning about. However, sometimes I get frustrated with myself in how much time I can spend researching a purchase. I must take meds twice a day now, so I needed a new way to dispense & store them. ANYway, after spending too long looking at a dozen options I finally selected one.
This afternoon I will finish cleaning the church. It has been a learning process. I'm sure having a cleaning system/routine would make it easier/faster but since this is a once in a great while event, I am just winging it. I am taking my spin mop and bucket with me today to do all the hard floors. I thought there was a mop bucket available there, but I didn't see it. There are lots of closets and storage rooms in the church so it could very well be in one of them and I'm just not seeing it.

Re: Simple Saturday PWYC
Good morning!
S2s, breakfasted, listening to the radio.
DH is out at an Eagle Scout court of honor. I’m not sure when he’ll be back. Before he left, he mentioned that the time he has to be at graduation tomorrow means that he won’t be able to go to our usual Mass, so I need to decide whether I’d rather go to the vigil this evening or the early Mass tomorrow. I had thought maybe I’d ask Delderly friend whether she’d prefer that we bring her Communion this evening or early tomorrow, but the more I think about it, the more I think this evening will be better.
I had started this post a while ago, but then I was chilly, so I pulled a throw blanket over me in the comfy chair, and I dozed off.
And now there are too many posts for me to hold in my brain at once, since I can see so little at a time on the phone. So I will send my greetings to all of you and go put that sweater on so I can get out from under this blanket and actually get something done.

Re: Simple Saturday PWYC
Just getting here after a busy morning.
Yesterday I went to the $$ store and bought six plastic plates and bowls. Got home and realized I picked up one wrong bowl so headed back to the store early today. Was afraid all the plastic ware would be picked over if I waited.
Came home and spread three bags of mulch around my tree and it looks great. Still could use a bag or two so I’ll pick up more tomorrow. Came in and worked on my office. I’ve rearranged it three times and think I’ve got it the way I want it. I am using my grandmothers dinning room table as my desk, which I love but that meant I needed to but a filing cabinet with drawers. Also ordered a cabinet with draws to replace my small bookshelf which finally bit the dust.
When outside and worked on my built in grill. It’s beyond disgusting but I’m sure I can get it cleaned. It will be a day job for later this week. Then I put together my hanging plant stand. Yesterday I reorganized my linen closet I’m using for storage and it looks great. Started working on my guest bedroom closet which is a disaster before I took this break for lunch and am now headed back to finish it.
In between I’ve been needed to help Sweetie on several of his projects, so my day has been simple, but very busy

There is a strawberry/rhubarb dump cake in my oven right now and it smells devine... very sweet!
Dh an I are going out to a BBQ place for supper tonight.
I've spent a bit of time each day cleaning my pantry/office in the past week, including vacuuming. All the cans/bottles even got wiped/dusted off. NOW everything is back in alphabetical order and empty spots are now filled in again. This week will be the library. Then I have the rest of the spring/summer to "relax" because these 2 rooms are done.

After a couple of years of looking off and on for a house/townhouse/condo, ds made an offer on one today and it was accepted! We're excited for him! Our friend who was here last night was his realtor and she gave us the low down that she thought it was perfect for him.
