175th day of year: Friday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

We're nearing the mid-point of the year, there's 190 days until the end of 2022. Any plans you need to get in place for next six months? Anything that needs to be wrapped up soon?

A week from today is July first!

I'm heading out to walk a bit. Dcleaning lady will be here in about 45 minutes and I've done what clean up I need.

A week from today is Canada Day!!

All clean laundry is away.
Dishwasher is going.
I have a pasta strainer in the sink along with some tongs from the BBQ and 3 wooden spatulas.

I have been stitching this morning and I have a 3 hour stitching group this afternoon. I also stitch between 7 and 8 when Wheel and Jeopardy are on. Good thing, because I need to do at least 200 stitches a day to make dh's Christmas present, so I have exactly 6 months from today. I started it yesterday! Yikes!!
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Good gauge, Cathy!
A week from today is July first!
And that means not only "Canada Day", but it's also Dh's birthday -exactly halfway through the year. Today is 'birthing' day for me. DS-R was born on this day so many years ago!

As I went outside yesterday afternoon I realized there was 'cable' laying all over our lawn and beyond. Dh told me the guys who had been here most of the day yesterday working on S pectrum's cable were the culprits. They installed internet about 6 RV's away and in the process managed to cut the lines in 2 places. Consequently they ended up putting in new cable which now all has to be buried. They're out there today doing that. So that means they will have spent at least 2 days here installing that one internet (and I'm sure others who don't happen to be here right now are also affected.) Ours so far seems fine.

I must have fallen back asleep after I heard dh up and about early. It was nearly 9am before I got up. I need to get moving. DS-R was just here getting something from the shed but I didn't talk with him. DS-A, DDIL and DGS9 are here camping until tomorrow morning. Then they're leaving for some place in PA for DGS to race tomorrow night. Then he's racing at another track in PA Wednesday. First I'd seen their new motorhome.WOW! I thought they bought a smaller Class C. Not so. It's beautiful and BIG. Dh said, "You should know DS-A never does anything small!"

Harmony, your troubles yesterday are so much like mine over several months. If it's not trees falling during storms, it's livestock somehow causing mischief and ~~~ poof ~~~ goes the power. Glad to hear your troubles were brief.

Gee, Twins', do you think we'd better post the Holiday thread? After all, it's just around a corner to Halloween now. A matter of minutes it will seem. How are you feeling?

I'm on the second load of laundry, so am actually ahead of The Crossroads of Order for the Day. But then, I had no outdoor chores since I watered yesterday. (hmmm... .. a couple baskets would appreciate a look-see, I bet)

blessed, corn and pumpkins? This is not what I'd pictured. :? I was just getting used to you moving rocks around your place and tucking flowers around them.

The bug people came yesterday, causing very little fuss. I just avoided all but one door for the day, since I saw them giving a lot of attention to the back porch and didn't want to get into that.

Happy birth-ing day to Dee.

HRH and I need to do some Desk Day together today.

Oh, btw, he and I spent time on the phone again yesterday re: email. We keep fussing about it to each successive Rep but since we never get the same person anyway, they really never feel it's any problem of theirs. :x

Hmmm, dh just called me and said that DDIL-A just called him to let him know that our DGD & her DH both have tested positive for Covid. Was with DDIL last night who has been sitting with her 3 DGSons. I feel fine but dh wanted me to test to be sure but think I'll wait for a day or so. I was just getting ready to go over to see DS-A & DDIL. Wondering what this will mean for them heading out to PA in the morning. DDIL seems to pick up anything and everything so easily. I know lawmakers are pushing a lot to have any and all restrictions regarding Covid to be lifted. But I am seeing so many people with it of late. Crazy.

Ugh Dee. Yeah, I'd wait a bit before testing. We were with people on Friday night and Sat night and they tested positive on Monday a.m. I tested Monday afternoon - had symptoms by then - but wasn't positive until Tuesday p.m.

I already had almost 1K steps when I went out to walk, and I got to 5K. I took it easy. Dcleaning lady is doing her magic and I'm upstairs out of her way.

Thanks for that info, Twins. Dh was adamant that I test now (we have plenty of tests here), but I'm more of the opinion that since I feel okay that I should wait a day or so. He was concerned because I was not feeling well last night or all day on Wednesday. Had one heck of a headache, but it seemed to abate with both t ylenol and E xcedrin migraine.
