I shouldn't be here because time is short, but I just HAD to get my SHE fix before I leave.

We are enjoying another cool day (88F) before we return to triple digit heat.

DD11 and I are off to day #2 of VBS. Let the fun begin!

Morning Dailies misadventures so far

Have been sitting on side porch cleaning out the cannister of the upright vacuum, which had gotten clogged with debris in some way that exceeds all previous experience. Sigh. And I'm no spring chicken - thought I'd seen it all.

Stepped in something icky, too. And tracked it back into house.
One old shoe on now, one newer shoe on now.

Laundry load out of balance threatening to tear the house down from the inside out.

After tongs (yes, tongs) and fork (good gravy) I have set my vacuum free.

Out-of-balance culprit under arrest for making threatening gestures.

Not one of those days when you feel competent to keep your own house in order.

I will compose myself and return with better attitude! Everyone have fun today.

d harriet - hello - hope your day becomes wonderful!

I think you should be proud of getting the vacuum fixed and finding the culprit that added sticky stuff to your shoe! I have the tendency to put the item down when things go ker-ploo-ey (I have no idea how to spell it - we used to say this as kids so it may not even be a word). I leave it behind instead of fixing it until things get so bad that I "have" to fix it. So good for you!

It seems like you have been struggling since the move. I don't think this home is making you happy yet. What can you change to get what you need again. I had that when I first moved to this house. The noise from the road and having neighbors near us again was and is still something I struggle with from time to time. My first couple years were brutal - I need the open spaces and I am thinking you are the same.

I set my plan - I have to have a sense of humor when I say "I set my plan" because I know God has a good sense of humor - and loves when I think I am in control of things .

dh is not happy with me right now - dogs got a couple pieces of garbage out of the bag I put in the garage - not much - he made it out like there was tons everywhere - he did that yesterday with 2 pieces of. trash: one bag from the bread that had 2 pieces left and one plant plastic. he said it was everywhere - he tends to go down that road - I said it wasn't much and I was going to go out to the garage and take care of it unless he wanted to take out the bag. He was mad - told me nope it's okay "you do it" I have to see what's behind it. I figure he is upset bc I called on it that it was only a few pieces and yesterday there was only 2 pieces. "it wasn't that much" made him upset. I am sure he just wants to be upset and I didn't let him just be frustrated.

I have a headache so I have to watch my own attitude.

time for meds done
go out the door and enjoy the work before I have to come in when it starts getting hotter. 9:30 am. keeping fingers crossed - I will put up a sign - no headaches allowed.

look for trash
on the right had of sink are all the dishes from late afternoon to evening
empty the dw of the clean dishes and replace them with the dirty that is on the sink
put away around the house.

I have gotten up on time did my stretching, walked the dog early while it was still cool out.
Neighbor texted to get the # of repair co. I use . (Made me feel competent to have that info. On the fridge magnet.)
Got the trash out to the curb.
Planning & journaling dishes done.
Wrote a letter it's ready to mail tomorrow.

I talked myself out of going to the temple cemetery. I will go tomorrow when I get groceries.

So I'm upstairs...

I walked almost 5K steps. Felt like walking in water for some reason today, slow and not energetic, but it's done. Saw dfriend M coming back from her walk and I'm going to catch up with her at 4:30 p.m. today over a glass of wine.

Refilled meds, did most of a.m. routine. Supper tonight is salmon and asparagus.

I wish I could get myself up earlier and get an earlier start.

weeding has been fun - I still have a long way to go in the pumpkin corn area but I am seeing some progress.
ordered lunch - grilled veggie sandwich and a juicy drink.
watered two zones
having dogs rest in the cool air of the house - me too!

dh said he would do the dishes - yay -

d twins great idea to do 2 errands in the same day - yay on 5k - oooo enjoy your time with your d friend this afternoon

hello d everyone.

pulling out my beach umbrella to continue weeding. Thursday I plan on getting the organic fertilizer for the pumpkins. (hoping to have that be my errand day).
Next: work again in 15 minute sections (weeding)
before that - empty cart of all the already pulled weeds - its full
move sprinkler to middle area of back.
I really don't want to do any house work but will vacuum later on and do a really simple swish and swipe of the bathrooms.

Hello, all!

I've had a decently productive morning -- some payroll work done, some medical bills paid.

We went to the movies last night -- DH wanted to go, as we hadn't been in some time. Saw the Dr. Strange movie -- again, his idea. It was OK. Didn't feel like a total waste of an evening, but I wouldn't have been to broken up to miss it. Got movie popcorn out of the deal, though.

Dfriend K texted a couple of us ladies and asked if we'd be interested in playing hooky on Friday and going to the beach. (Not that it would really be playing hooky for her -- her employer only has half-days on Fridays, and she has unlimited vacation time.) I allowed that playing hooky sounded fun, but heading to the beach in 90° weather did not. I am not really a beach person. I am a screen porch person, if only I had one. Breeze, shade, and no bugs!

DC is still sleeping. I'd better put an end to that! Then again, I saw them earlier this morning, so they might just be hiding out in their room. Dishes and laundry are near the top of the agenda. Have a good one! Don't let the vacuum cleaners attack!
