I have done 15 in the garden while it's cool picking up things I weeded out or pruned off got
that can of stuff in the trash to go out on pick up day Tuesday.
I have lunch diner in the crock pot and veg. thawing to go in later.
Walked the ddog this morning as well.

I am ready for some "Calgon take me away" moments. IYKWIM.

The beginning of public and homeschool is always full of challenges and this morning had its share. DD11 realized as she was getting out of the vehicle at school that she forgot her water bottles, so I made a quick trip back home to find, fill and deliver them to school. Note to self - Make a checklist to use as leaving for school to make sure nothing is forgotten. Homeschool lessons are well planned, but that teenage boy attitude needs some adjustment. It was better today than the first day of homeschool, but I set a high standard in how I am treated and won't accept the sass. When we are in school mode, I expect him to be focused. Overall, it is going okay.

I am having a hard time this morning getting moving at all. House is quiet with dh back at work. I had set my alarm for 7:15 but a phone call woke me up just after seven. I suspect it was about the delivery of the microwave but I didn't pick up, and they called later and got it here just fine. (reminder to self, should move car back into the garage)

We enjoyed the time at the river yesterday. Dh made cook to order omelets for all of us - the couple our age and their adult dd who was there. We went out on the boat later with the dh and dd - the wife had the meeting at temple to attend. Dfriend, who I think is 75+ water skied (two skies, not slalom, lol) and the adult dd knee-boarded successfully. I'd love to ski again but don't think my body could take it. Maybe I'll get pulled behind on a float sometime.

We were pretty worn out after eating snacks and came on home instead of staying for burgers. After being out on Saturday night (and on Thursday night too) I was ready for home. Maybe that's why I'm so slow moving today.

Dh will be out three nights this week so if I can get up to speed I can work longer.

No one here working, supposedly we'll have someone here working on drywall today.

I have a Zoom at 2 p.m. - really don't want to report on my progress, lol.

Nothing happening here today.

Supper will be the steak I took out of the freezer last night. Zucchini for dh as the garden just keeps producing them. A packet of green beans (again, thanks to the garden) and a packet of potatoes and onions. I slice the potatoes and onions an put oil and butter in the packet before throwing it on to the BBQ.

Geeze. I have been on the phone nearly an hour trying to get the refund straightened out for the microwave drawer from HD that had to be returned because it was damaged. We had gift cards for $150 and paid the rest with credit card, and when they processed the return, we got a gift card for the full amount instead of putting the refund back on the credit card. So I ended up eventually with the resolutions department...and it still will take 5 - 7 business days.

Now I have this Zoom that I don't want to do. And dh just called. And. And. And.

I have been having trouble posting again - but I am thinking of you all.

I am watering out in front
dh put some dishes in the dw yay
I finished and turned on the dw.

the last couple days the house has gotten to him. - I had told him last week that I couldn't get to it until today and the rest of the week - I figured if it bothered him so much then he could take over - that sounds passive aggressive but not what I mean. I kind of figure that he could do jobs that I do just as well if it really was bothering him. If not that was fine too. I can see him internally tapping his foot... the look is there.

What I found interesting is that he wants to start on my stuff; instead of cleaning the dining room where he sits, his bedroom, his bathroom. His spaces.

I also had told him last week (and 2 weeks ago) that this week would be my time to finish the 3 season room and that the corner in the family room would be taken care of and I am usually good on my word.

He kept looking over the stuff in the corner of the family room.
before the family room we had to first wash the 3 season room floor and then tape the bottom trim to paint. I mentioned I would love the family room table washed and the floor vacuumed. Poof he is gone.

my pre donate days I would look to his stuff as the things that need to be worked on until I realized I needed to focus only on my stuff.

The last couple weeks there has been a lot of the tap of the foot, judging of the eyes by dh.
first the garden, then the 3 season room, now the family room and the kitchen floor - oh and the garage!
Garden done, 3 season pretty much done, garage done,

heading back to:
washing the counters,
washing the stove
washing inside the microwave
went through mail
vacuuming the floor in the kitchen and rinsing it
wipe the surfaces the dogs leaned against.
throw in white laundry
throw in towels

then the 3 season room - wash tape paint

And.....he's out -dh, that is. We had our lunch and he almost immediately fell asleep in the recliner. I'm still eating mine. (We stopped at T im H orton's on the way home and ordered their tuna sandwich (on a croissant). I'd give it a thumbs up!

Called the cardiologist's office first thing and was advised to call dh's GP. Did that and dh saw him at 11:30. Obviously still bleeding (his last dose of Xarelto was Friday evening.) Dr says he obviously can't take any of the applicable blood thinners so told us to call cardiologist for a referral for the "Watchman" procedure. Tried calling from Dr's office but cardiology was out for lunch. We talked about the scope not being scheduled until October 3rd. While we were just leaving TH the hospital called and have now moved the scope up to September 9th & dh is on a cancellation list. Called cardiologist a little while ago and got to talk with the PA whom I just love. She was aware I'd called this morning. She took down everything and will talk with the Dr. They may still have to call GP's office for notes. She did tell me that taking a half dose of the Xarelto like he was wouldn't have made a difference in the bleeding. Told me there are specific doses for different things. So a difference in dr's for sure. Now waiting to hear from cardiologist's office to see what next steps will be, if any. GP brought up pictures of the "watchman" as he didn't know what it looked like either. Praying he can have this done sooner than later, but probably not until after the scope is done. Meantime we just keep hoping. The good news was that he evidently was not in Afib at least while we were at the dr's this morning. Figured out it takes us just about 40 minutes from our door to the office. So, I need to leave just a few minutes earlier to allow for any detours, etc.

Our supper for sure is cabbage soup. Dh was up in the night and tried it and let it cool and put it in the fridge about 2:30am. He loves this recipe and I like it myself.

One 'better' thing about his scope appointment is that it's now at 9:45am instead of 6:45am. I like the time better. Of course that could change if they give him a different date.
